Sunday Morning Service at Beulah Worship Center, October 31st 2021, Matthew 22:11-4: "Many are called, but few are chosen." Not everyone who replied to the invitation was sincere. Some people were like the man who wanted to go to the feast but was either too lazy or busy with his own concerns to properly prepare. Like the King He is, Jesus extended an invitation to all, but those who wished to reap the advantages of his feast without changing their self-centered habits were denied entry (Matthew 22:11-14).

Haggai 1:5-8: As we see with the people through the Prophet Haggai, God had punished them with poverty and famine as a result of their greed. People grumbled because of this, it wasn't that they couldn't afford to build the temple. Rather, they were in the condition they were in because of their self-centered attitudes, solely concerned with what they desired rather than what God desired, leading them to refuse to build the temple. They had to return to the forests and cut down the wood for the building of God's temple.

November 18th 2021-Ephesians 6:10-13: Life is a battle for Christians, but it is a spiritual battle, rather than an earthly one. Our warfare is against hostile demonic powers, that have rebelled against God and are opposing his people by seeking to devour them. Christians must gear themselves in the same way that ancient soldiers did, by 'Putting on the Whole Armor of God', in order to stand firm in conflicts. We receive our armor and power from God, our duty is to submit ourselves fully to the his purposes and will, that we may resist the devil, to ensure that we are still standing after the conflict is over.

November 21st 2021-John 4:7-11: As he reached one of Samaria's villages, Jesus struck up a discussion with a Samaritan woman he met at a well. The woman had the same issue as Nicodemus in that she took Jesus' words literally rather than symbolically. She didn't realize that when Jesus said "living water," he wasn't talking about ordinary water; he was talking about eternal life. Her innermost needs would be met for the rest of her life if she accepted what he offered.

August 21st 2022: 1 Kings 19:1-6, "Now Ahab told Jezebel everything Elijah had done and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say, “May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like that of one of them. Elijah was afraid and ran for his life. When he came to Beersheba in Judah, he left his servant there, while he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors.” Then he lay down under the bush and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, “Get up and eat.” He looked around, and there by his head was some bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again."

Thursday Night Bible Study at Beulah Worship Center, November 11th 2021-1 John 4:7-8 God's essence is to love. Human nature has tainted love, but as born again believers, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we learn to love as God loves (7-8). God demonstrated His love for us by sending his Son to die for people who had rebelled against him. They are deserving of death, but Jesus died in their place to pay the penalty of sin. As a result, they are now able to have life and have it more abundantly. People may not be able to see God, but they can see that he lives among Christians who love one another.

April 10th 2022: John 3:16-21,“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

July 3rd 2022: Mark 10:35-45, "And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came up to him and said to him, “Teacher, we want you to do for us whatever we ask of you.” And he said to them, “What do you want me to do for you?” And they said to him, “Grant us to sit, one at your right hand and one at your left, in your glory.” Jesus said to them, “You do not know what you are asking. Are you able to drink the cup that I drink, or to be baptized with the baptism with which I am baptized?” And they said to him, “We are able.” And Jesus said to them, “The cup that I drink you will drink, and with the baptism with which I am baptized, you will be baptized, but to sit at my right hand or at my left is not mine to grant, but it is for those for whom it has been prepared.” And when the ten heard it, they began to be indignant at James and John. And Jesus called them to him and said to them, “You know that those who are considered rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

December 19th 2021-John 3:16-18: "For God so Loved the World", does not imply that God condoned men's behavior, but rather that he felt kindness toward them or was concerned for their happiness. God despises wrongdoing, but he nonetheless wishes for the happiness of sinners. "He despises sin but adores sinners." A father can love and care for his child while still being opposed to his child's behavior. The love of contentment is when we approve of another's behavior; the love of kindness is when we simply want them to be happy.

The world means the entire unredeemed human race. It does not refer to any specific region of the world, but to mankind as a whole - the race that had rebelled and deserved to die. John 6:33 and John 17:21 are two examples. These situations demonstrated his love for the world, or for all humans, in giving his Son"

December 16th 2021-Jonah Chapters 1-3: "Jonah demonstrates the character of the human heart. The human heart, which, in the case of believers, often reluctantly conforms to God's purpose, seeks its own glory, puts itself first, and can be as hard as stone when it comes to other people. Even God's truth pleases the human heart just as long as it may be used to emphasize one's own importance! All of this was something Jonah had to learn. As a result, this small book provides many useful lessons for born-again believers."

November 14th 2021-Jesus demonstrates that just abstaining from murder is insufficient. We must be delivered from the spirit of vengeance and fury in our hearts, which leads to hatred of others, which is murder in the spirit realm (Matthew 5:21-22). Along with restraining their anger, as followers of Christ we should strive to make peace with people who are furious with us. Even in matters that appear to be miniscule, an offender would be wise to make it right with their adversary and receive the blessing of God over their lives. If we refuse to heed to God's Word, we may find ourselves in even more difficult circumstances, maybe now or when we stand before God at the Judgment Seat of Christ (Matthew 5:23-26).

November 7th 2021, 12 Year Anniversary Celebration: John 2:1-5 The beginning of Jesus' public ministry is described by John as "replacing what was old with something new". Old water was replaced with new wine. In the same way a new birth replaced an old birth. They desired wine, according to John 2:3. There is usually no lack at a feast or celebration, but there was a scarcity of food; despite the fact that much was offered, it was all consumed.

Even when we believe we are at the pinnacle of all Christ has for us and we are content, we occasionally could find ourselves in a bind while in this world. If we're continually spending and feasting frivolously on the cares of this world, we may be empty before we realize it. If we come to the table of the Lord daily for our heavenly provision, the Bible says we are partaking on Bread that enables us to live forever and water that will make us never thirst again.

November 4th 2021-Matthew 19:23-26: It is for certain, as shown in the verses before that no one could enter that kingdom unless it was by Christ working through the power of the Holy Spirit. He embraces all who humble themselves before him by his grace. In the prior verses, Jesus describes various traps that believers can fall into, but all of them can be conquered through faith alone. God can provide the grace to accomplish it. "What is impossible with man, is possible with God."

October 21st, 2021, Thursday Night Bible Study at Beulah Worship Center 1 Corinthians 12:1-11: Different forms of gifts and services do not imply different levels of spirituality. They shouldn't cause rivalry or jealousy, because the same God works through a variety of persons in the body to help everyone grow spiritually. Whatever gifts are provided, they are all given by the Holy Spirit. Some persons are endowed with the abilities of wisdom and knowledge. Others have uncommon powers, such as faith in their ability to do the seemingly impossible and the ability to heal sickness and disease. Additional gifts enable individuals to do miracles, speak words from God, discern which gifts are from the Spirit and which are not, talk in tongues, and translate tongues so that they are understandable to those who hear them. All of these talents are given by one God, and they are given without measure, according to his will.

October 31st 2021-Matthew 22:14: Many are "called" into the outward communion of the Church of Christ by the preaching of the Gospel, but few, in comparison, are selected to dwell with God in glory, since they do not come to the master of the feast for a wedding garment-for that holiness without which no one can see the Lord. To ensure that we are of the faith and that our souls are prepared for eternity, we must examine ourselves in the light of the Gospel.
