Unashamed: Recent Episodes

Unashamed is where I get to express myself without an iota of self-consciousness. I share my story and experiences (may be a bit sensitive for me), and I do it unscripted and with a lot of code-switching; straight from my heart to your ears, with love💙

Finally, we have come to the end of 2022. The year has been ah!mazing so far and I'm super expectant to see all what the new year comes with. In this episode, I try to wrap my year in about 30 minutes, highlighting the good and bad, the beautiful and ugly, the pleasant and shege, the wins and losses; without leaving out what I'm most grateful for. Indeed, it has been a year. What's a whole 365 days without a few lessons to learn? I share my lessons and what I look forward to in 2023. I also pronounced some new year blessings. Trust me, you want to listen and say Amen to the prayers. #outwiththeoldinwithnew✌💙

There are a lot of myths that surround being a Christian and experiencing mental health issues. In this part of the world, mental health sounds like a taboo and we are quick to reject it in Jesus' name. But is that really enough? In this episode, Omosayo, a counselling psychologist demystifies the myths surrounding mental health and Christianity. She calls me Oyinda and I call her Faith; just in case you hear both names and are wondering. P.S there was construction work going on when we recorded this episode hence the background noise. Please don't just listen. Share and leave a voice message. I'd love to hear from you💙

It feels like forever. I mean, I've not dropped by in 8 weeks! Well look who's back. I'm so happy I finally recorded after a long time. So this episode is more like a life update. I tell you what I was up to during my MIA period. And of course I absolutely enjoyed recording. I hope you enjoy listening. PS I'd just recovered from a bad cold; das nuh my real voice. Cheers to more consistency🥂

Welcome! So as promised, I share how I'm gradually overcoming Imposter Syndrome. You can tell that I'm excited (I also don't know why). But it's a good thing, innit? I'd love to hear from you. How are you dealing with IS? What did you do to overcome it?

Finally, I did it! 🥳 I'm so excited to finally start this journey. In this episode, I'll be sharing a little bit of my story leading up to this point. I hope you get to learn one or two things. Please pardon the background noises you hear😪 e.g. church noise; it is unedited. Plus this is my reality; some of the numerous things I'm contending with at the moment. Please do well to listen through, send your comments and share🤗 Thank you and God bless you💙 PS My podcast name and artwork weren't ready by the time I recorded the first segment (Mic check). But doesn't God make all things beautiful in His own time? Both were ready before I published! And no I wasn't going to record again.
