On today’s edition of SUFTT, Tim and Mary look at the proverbial canary in the coal mine – warning shots, test patterns, wake up calls and shots across the bow – all things God uses to get our attention on the times. The prophets at the very least, who they chose not to listen to, embodied God’s early warning system. In this case, Israel being not just God’s time clock but is also a warning and a test as to how we will treat and deal with a regathered Israel that God will redeem. The professing church is failing at it in many ways, completely misunderstanding Scripture about how He feels about His people. God’s Word is still the plumb line. How Israel is treated is actually a wake up call as well, as will be how the world treats the church through hate crime legislation and flat out persecution. Many will lose their lives in the tribulation from martyrdom, the Bible is clear about that. Birth pangs too, are warnings that God uses to preview the tribulation. Is anyone listening?

We talk about coming persecution in the form of censorship and increasing pressure on believers to conform or be quiet; and speaking of the cost of living – it’s going up and up. On this edition of SUFTT – Headlines, Tim and Mary talk about all the ways and means put before us to make choices. Hopefully godly ones, and choices that can make for our peace – or steal it outright. And watching the news generally brings only one of those to fruition every hour of every day. People can of course choose to tune it all out, but then there is the danger of not knowing what or how to choose according to a proper worldview, and understanding more about what NOT to do. It’s complicated in a way, but finding that balance between knowing and not knowing is often very difficult and can steal our joy and energy. Today we look at the idea of free will and why some say that humans are so depraved they can’t choose anything having to do with eternity. We look at the religion of the day: tolerance. And the end game, which is the more the culture becomes tolerant, the more they marginalize Christians who appear to be INtolerant but in reality only point up the intolerance of the culture. We look at the increasing inroads of Islam and the ignition point of Europe today: France. A full hour of headline – choices.

With the “dog days” of Summer upon us, and the Europeans still clueless as to what true Summer heat is like in the south, we bring post-Independence Day headlines. In this uniquely lazy time of year, finding connected headlines is very difficult so we have a real smorgasbord of information. Yet we can always find a way to point to God’s faithfulness and His soon return. Today we have a few thoughts on the 4th in hindsight, namely a thoughtful piece from Ken Ham about how we can sing “God Bless America” but refuse to follow Him and His commands. Then we look at some of the perils of the upcoming primary and election season, as the uber-radical left attempts to swing our nation so far left it might end up at the fascist right. We also look at the perils of allegory in Bible interpretation, and a new experimental vaccine that might just be the vaxx-to-end-all-vaxxes, which tells us one thing in particular: it was never about a virus, always about a vaxx. A full hour of slightly disjointed but interesting headlines for the Summer of ’26.

On today’s edition of SUFTT, Mary takes a look at Psalm 73 as a much-needed answer to the wrestling we all do in the face of a world gone awry. Levite, prophet and worship leader Asaph, author of a dozen Psalms, takes us on a tour through his heart and mind over the seeming success of the rich and famous of his time. We wonder at times what he all struggled with, since we have all the knowledge of good and evil at our fingertips through global media. Nevertheless, he certainly had his share of wrestlings when it came to being distracted by those who had it all, and gave no thought to their own eternity. Why do people who know they will die at some point seem to not even care how it all ends? Asaph knew that God is good, and He has a covenant with Israel – but he still had lots of deep questions for His Maker. But has God ever taken away those who vex us with instant relief? No, the rich and carefree have been with us always, it is US who change after being with our God, in His house. A great lesson for us all who struggle with cultural issues and how to respond in our hearts with a life of contentment.

Mary welcomes back Israel expert Jim Fletcher to talk about the winds of change that have blown through the world by looking at a couple of statistics: the 50th commemoration of Entebbe, and the 1000th day of the current war that Israel has bravely fought on multiple fronts. God is surely good to Israel, we see that in hindsight and it flavors our Bible reading time. And He will continue to be, which also flavors our Bible reading time. But not everyone in the church, let alone the world, believes this. We also look at what is happening in New York and beyond, as the democrat party as we know it allows themselves to be bullied by hard-core Communists, or Islamunists, as one pundit put it. Things have been eroding since Mamdani (shockingly) got elected, and now their ideology, plus a generous side order of antisemitism, is being pushed west and legitimized through the ballot box. It’s amazing how quickly things can go from threatening to destabilizing, but here we are in the Summer of ’26.

Today we talk about the rising perilous tide all around us, starting with Israel’s brilliant attack on Iran. Then we discuss whether socialism is our expected national doom, as the left ratchets up every cause they can dream of, including antisemitism – an offense to a holy God. Lawlessness and violence threaten to spill over to any community on any day as the left uses whatever crisis suits them to foment trouble. Never mind that they themselves are lawless at heart, when the president tries to establish law and order, and it is vilified, we know just how far the violence has permeated our fragile sense of society. We also talk about the national marches planned for Saturday as it is Trump’s 79th birthday and the 250th anniversary of our Army. The No Kings Movement is gaining steam from the left and could change the face of our nation yet again. What could happen next on this fragile planet is anyone’s guess.

On today’s edition of SUFTT, we review what it means to be a Berean, as outlined in Acts 17. When Paul was preaching Christ to the Thessalonian Jews, he also had the attention of the Greeks in attendance at the synagogue. Greeks often attended in those early days of the church because they weren’t interested in the rampant paganism, but opted instead to hear about the Jewish Messiah. While the Jews weren’t interested in having their traditional boat rocked, the Greeks of Berea were considered more noble because they were critical thinkers and sought to search the Old Testament daily to see if what Paul said was true, and many got saved. Today we use that context to talk about the ways the church must be Bereans as well – critical thinkers – when it comes to understanding and believing God about Israel and about prophecy. Churches that don’t teach prophecy, which permeates both old and New Testament, are not being Bereans. The challenge to filter everything we hear, every day by the Word of God may require time and diligence but it is of the utmost importance.

[From June 10, 2025] Mary welcomes back Olivier Melnick to discuss the new normal: antisemitism. He is a Jewish believer in Jesus from France, the son of Holocaust survivors, whose maternal grandfather was killed by the Nazis. Olivier is an internationally known speaker on antisemitism. He holds a BA from Moody Bible Institute and a masters from Dallas Theological Seminary, and has been equipping believers to understand and fight antisemitism since 2000. The ramping up of antisemitism is a complete surprise to some, it’s not that long ago that they were the target of genocide during WW2, and if anyone alive has a parent who fought in that war, the connection is still strong. So why now? How are things different? Today we talk about the stages of normalization from his book, “The Normalization of Antisemitism”. World leaders are not so subtly being drawn into this hate as the world turns their back on Israel. Words matter. Words turn to violence. Even our neighbor to the north is being drawn in. Israel can do nothing right, so they might as well do what they are going to do to stave off the end of the west through violence, immigration, and Islam.

Everywhere we turn, it seems that Israel is in the news—often in a negative light.
Some celebrated commentators have come nefariously close to laying all the world’s problems at the feet of Israel and the Jewish people. This is becoming a common allegation in our day.
Others take a contradictory approach and question whether there are any true Israelites left, promoting the fantasy that charlatans have replaced them in an endeavor to execute one of the greatest frauds in history.
Then there are those who maintain that the real problem is our concern for what they believe to be the imaginary issue of antisemitism. The actual Jewish people, they assure us, do not deserve our sympathy.
Many within these groups naturally subscribe to Replacement Theology—the ancient teaching, prominent in Roman Catholicism as well as large swaths of Protestantism and evangelicalism, that the church has replaced Israel in God’s plan.
Christian nationalism promotes a different version of Replacement Theology. It envisions a brilliant future for America under an authoritarian leader who will make fundamental changes to the country, in essence allowing the United States to fulfill the Old Testament mission given to Israel, along with its promises. The modern State of Israel is an irrelevant foil in this plot and is often seen, once again, as the wellspring of evil.
Those who hold these varying opinions have one thing in common: They cannot fathom a future for Israel of any spiritual significance. For proof, they point to the fact that the people of Israel today are largely in unbelief and are even capable of committing egregious sins. The expectation appears to be that if Israel were still God’s Chosen People, it would already be living as “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people” (1 Peter 2:9).
I am frustrated by that response and even more so when it comes from within our dispensational camp. Modern Israel, some tell us, may or may not possess any prophetic importance. They say that the Jewish people might survive or they might be dispersed again. Perhaps, they suppose, Israel’s presence in the Holy Land today is really of no consequence. Such voices are content with the fact that the Messiah will perform a spiritual work in Jewish hearts one day. But, for now, they remind us, the people of Israel are mostly in unbelief.
Israel’s Unbelief is Prophesied, Not a Surprise
And that is exactly what everyone is missing about Israel! The solution to the problem is embedded in their objections. Yes, the Jewish people have returned to form the modern State of Israel, predominantly in unbelief—which is exactly the condition in which we should expect to find them when we study the Hebrew prophets.
Ezekiel 36 and 37 make it clear that there would be two phases of Israel’s return to the land. In both chapters, we see the people returning first in unbelief (Ezekiel 36:24; 37:1-3) and only then, finally, returning in faith and coming to spiritual life within the land (36:25-28; 37:4-6). Indeed, the people of Israel must be regathered as a nation, in their land—in unbelief—for the Tribulation to commence (Daniel 9:27).
The apostle John unambiguously revealed that even at the midpoint of the Tribulation, Jerusalem will still be “spiritually … called Sodom and Egypt” (Revelation 11:8). This is following the ministry of the two witnesses (vv. 1-12), the ministry of the 144,000 witnesses (7:1-8; such “being firstfruits to God and to the Lamb” of redeemed Israel, 14:4) and the conversion of “a great multitude which no one could number” (7:9-17).
Dr. James Fazio, dean of Southern California Seminary, summarized the development of the understanding of a future for Israel in the centuries that followed the Reformation:[i]
- A great number of Jewish converts would be brought into the church.
- Israel would be saved as a nation.
- Israel would not only be saved as a nation, but also restored to its land.
The noble scholars that produced the 1599 edition of the Geneva Bible advanced such teachings when they included the following study note at Romans 11:25:
The blindness of the Jews is neither so universal that the Lord hath no elect in that nation, neither shall it be continual: for there shall be a time wherein they also (as the Prophets have forewarned) shall effectually embrace that which they do now so stubbornly for the most part reject and refuse.[ii]
These three points reference doctrinal progress within church history. Today, we must not regress backward toward the Dark Ages, but rather “[build] on this foundation” (1 Corinthians 3:12). The Jewish people have been making aliyah to their ancient, promised homeland for more than a century, and we have a front-row seat to one of the greatest events in prophetic history. May we never discount that privilege.
In his book How Should Christians Think About Israel?, Dr. Michael Rydelnik wrote, “The best explanation is that the modern State of Israel seems to be a dramatic work of God in fulfillment of the Bible’s predictions of a Jewish return to the land of Israel.”[iii] I agree!
Israel’s Spiritual Revival is Still to Come
Scripture teaches that the final return of the Jewish people to faith in their Messiah—and to their land as a nation—will be complete and permanent (see Zechariah 12:10; 13:9; Romans 11:26-27). In order to facilitate that spiritual rebirth, God will use the events of the coming Tribulation, the purpose of which is to bring Israel (not the church) to repentance and to receive its King and His kingdom. As in centuries past, He will receive them back from their state of unbelief (see Romans 11:29-31).
The prophet Zechariah warned of a day in the future Tribulation when there would be global opposition to Israel (Zechariah 12:3; 14:2). Since its founding, our beloved United States of America has been a glaring exception to that rule. But trends suggest that future generations will abandon this posture and that current events may accelerate American hostility toward Israel and the Jewish people.
In recent days, thinkers from all perspectives have undertaken the task of addressing these highly complex and contentious issues. For further study, I highly recommend Dr. Michael Vlach’s excellent and thorough article “Modern Israel and Israel in the Bible: Clarifying the Relationship.”[iv]
While the stage is being set for the Tribulation, we have the opportunity even now to imitate the courageous acts of those who will display God’s lovingkindness to His Chosen People at a most critical time in the future (Matthew 25:31-46). May God help us to live in such a way that our examples will support our witness of the Good News about the Messiah—“for the Jew first” (Romans 1:16).

While it’s kind of fun to think that biting mosquitoes might be vanquished once and for all, global realities set in whether before, during, or after vacations. Ai, for instance, is facing a backlash – or a “hate wave” as people come out against data centers take too much power and oligarchs who have too much power to change the world. Humans being what we are aren’t ready to be superseded by machines, and it’s not a matter of just waiting it out. We also look at protests in Paris all in the name of a sporting victory – which we all know is just another occasion for immigrants to loot and plunder. How is it that Europeans have sold their birthright so easily? All that and more in this installment of headlines, SUFTT style.

Today’s headlines, as do most stories that the world deems important, remind us that we are just passing through this life. Whether it’s aliens, mass immigration and movements of populations of people, the economy or whatever we are all told is important, we as believers have to remember it’s all temporary. A considerable amount of what occupies the headlines are mere “roadside attractions”. Now, when we talk about Israel and point to their redemption drawing nigh, that is something worth taking note of and we do regularly. Those are Mile Markers, things that show us how late the hour is. And truly we are just passing through – that’s also important as a mindset. And with the anniversary of the opening of Route 66 and how it transported so many Americans to “see the USA in your Chevrolet”, we’re thinking the only change of address we desire is our heavenly home. We talk about OPEC and why it is integral to the Middle East and will be for some time. We talk about the temple and the youth who want it rebuilt in their lifetimes; also about mass immigration and how it’s designed to erase the West and the Judeo-Christian worldview. Why does the UAE need protection from Iran via Israel, that Iran is going after them with extra rage? We also look at the continuing battle of antisemitism, which is not abating at all in a supposedly tolerant, civilized world. Also on the agenda: faithful pastors who put all on the line to preach the gospel; the US economic indicators regarding the debt load we are passing on to our kids and grands, if we even make it that far; Islamic prayer rooms in public schools; leftist talking points that more than suggest they are the only ones who get to do the talking. It’s one thing to try and live side by side with their extreme views, it’s another thing when they get more unhinged than we are comfortable with. Some things need to swing a different direction before the next presidential cycle. Many various and sundry headlines that tell us just where the culture is at in many areas of interest to the believer. A full hour with a faithful preacher of the truth and the times.

Mary chats with Lee Brainard about the Iran war, and why we just can’t seem to settle on what is really going on there. Every day is a new headline, immediately followed by another one that says, no, that’s not what’s going on. So is avoiding the topic altogether the direction to take, and who would blame us – because so much of what we read from both believers and non-believers and the headlines they choose is filtered through what the media think of Trump. And you know right away what they think because their opinion of Trump is on equal footing as the actual news piece. That is not journalism, it is mere editorializing. And then there is the struggle with “what he doesn’t know about prophecy.” But does God need Trump to understand prophecy? Do we want a politician to purposefully move last days events in a certain direction? After all, it will go on being fulfilled long after he is gone. Yes, at this late hour, how can everything not be prophetic; and YET – we don’t have the full picture, clearly. Presuming we do is dangerous. An interesting hour with Lee that hopefully answers some of our questions.

Today we look at a remarkable account of the tribe of Manassah returning to Israel from their wanderings in India. Who are these observant Jews who want nothing more than to make Aliyah to Israel? How did they get there, and is it prophetic? We also look at the latest tech surrounding finding any remnant of Noah’s ark. While such reports have been floating around for decades, with today’s tech one has to wonder if the accuracy of such research might be significantly better. And speaking of Noah, the latest research seems to point to him and his wife being our general ancestor – which would force those who don’t believe in a literal global flood to perhaps revisit their position. Finally, we look at all the reasons why the church needs to have a biblical perspective on Israel, and a bit of archaeology to top it off. A full hour.

Far from simply trying to understand the Jewish roots of the Bible, this movement seeks to answer the question about what happens when Gentiles and Jews get saved: do Gentiles become Jews? For centuries, the people of God were Jews, with the exception of some Gentiles who came to faith in the God of Israel. The early church consisted mostly of Jewish believers in Jesus, but when the gospel went to the Gentiles, there was a new dynamic that, unfortunately, even led some to believe that Christians were the new Israel and now received all the promises of God solely. This teaching continues today across the church spectrum. Why is there so much confusion about who is who, when the epistles clearly address these things head on? But with the HRM, there is even more confusion regarding the Mosaic Law, the feasts of Israel, who is a Jew, and what is Israel. Tim and Mary take on another news cycle, once again we see the shadows of the longest hatred: antisemitism. It is not going to improve but rather those with a demonic agenda will continue to take things to a very dark place, inviting judgment. As we saw with Covid, humans are deeply affected by suggestion, as long as it is accompanied by significant fear and threats. It is no different than antisemitism in a strange way – if people are told that the Jews are despicable and not to go near them, they will program their activities and lives to live that out. As another example, in some circles, a person can’t even name Trump without becoming deranged or acting violently and irrationally. We are in that era of strong delusion and deception. We talk about Canada and their inability to reign that hatred in. We also talk about Islam which is never going to reign their hatred in. The world hates the light because their deeds are evil, how much brighter should we shine.

Now that Iran has played their turn and installed a familial leader (which the 1970s Ayatollah KHO-meini decried before his death), Trump is certainly having to deal with a chess move he hates. After all, why would he go through all this trouble only to have to go in circles and start again with another hardliner? It will be interesting to see Trump’s next move. Meanwhile, no one has seen or heard from the heir apparent yet, so is he dead, alive, or just MIA? Reminds one of Schrodinger’s poor old kitty, an analogy afforded us by none other than Jeff Childers of his Coffee and Covid blog. We also look at Israel, Monsanto, and some terror-related news that proves this is, and has always been, a wider war, a charge which legacy media has reserved for later, but it’s too late for that analogy. Have we just entered into a season that is one of the most unpredictable since the Shah was overthrown in 1979? Even with the strength that President Reagan showed in releasing the American hostages from Iran’s volatile and brutal grip back then, perhaps President Trump has shown the most courage and resolve we have seen in decades with his Operation Fury to take out the wicked Ayatollah “Haman” Khameini. While some of the leftier among us are crying outrage just because it’s Trump, most citizens of the globe recognize the fact that the world, and the Mideast in particular, need LESS Khameinis, not more – or even one – and clearly Trump agrees. Siding with a tyrannical Islamic regime that kills its own is a form of insanity that no one can defend from a human standpoint. At any rate, God is working, because if it is as late as we think it is, it’s all part of Bible prophecy. Back in the 70s, for less than one dollar, one could purchase a Bic lighter and set stuff on fire easily. In today’s Mideast, with hatred all around stewing and brewing, especially for Israel, it doesn’t take much more than one of those to invoke a regional war. Mary welcomes back Olivier Melnick to talk about the shocking levels of what we might call “totalitarian antisemitism” that exist and why things are so much worse today than in the 1930s and 40s. While the Nazis had their propaganda machine that reached far into Europe, it was nothing compared to the digital propaganda machine we are staring at day in and day out. We discuss the five reasons why we have surpassed that 20th century evil day, and what it means for our world. For anyone who was around then, this concept should be especially frightening, even for those who grew up in the 1960s and 70s, we have to wonder how this was allowed on our watch. We also look at the fear factor for those who live in places where their safety is compromised, and how the pressure to disavow their identity adds to the problem of “erasure”. A “refusnik” was historically a Jew who was denied the right to leave Russia for Israel from the 1950s to around 1990 when Russia finally allowed Jews to leave. Here in 2026 it also means someone who refuses to allow their culture to be erased. How can we be refusniks, and encourage, stand with, and support those who need a dose of courage in light of this global problem? What other ethnic/race/culture would be allowed to suffer such malevolent wrongdoings, except the Jews?

If you are a student of the Bible and believe it is the Word of God from beginning to end, you might not ever have asked this question over, say, a 7 day creation issue or any other hot topic in the church today. If you ask scholars, or even just generative Ai, you will get the answer that it is a myth and it doesn’t matter because, well, what a great story! But this approach is largely secular – and dangerous. Because history, and especially biblically archaeological history is so exhilarating, we should welcome any evidence that all those people who lived so long ago were part of one of the great events in Israel’s history, and it speaks of a God who tells us exactly what He wants us to know for His good purposes. Given that Israel had grown to represent a fairly large number over the 430 years, evidence of their lives should be available in one form or another. A fascinating topic for discussion and study.

As we head into another Christmas season, we know that the big moment that changed everything was “unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given”. For God so loved, he GAVE. Ever since that proclamation, lovers of Jesus have anticipated His return. And all the more reason with Israel securely a nation state on the world scene. And that’s just one sign, albeit a huge one. So today, we continue to point to the wind up and the wind down, talking about the focus now on the Middle East and Israel in particular. The Word tells us that there will be a conclusion to the ‘times of the Gentiles’, so we know that one dispensation will wind down, and Israel’s redemption will wind upward. Another topic today is the latest from the Pope and his pro-Islam pandering, pretty disturbing on every level. Meanwhile, in churches around the nation, pastors are getting creative with Ai in multiple ways. The question is, are they as easily calling on the Holy Spirit to guide, direct and teach? This is an uncomfortable question for those who believe a church should be Spirit led, not Ai driven. We also take apart the Minnesota welfare scandal, and no one should be saying anyone “meant well” on this one. A full hour.

Immigration, ideologies like Communism, Marxism, Progressivism and Islam have taken a huge toll on our freedoms and our prosperity, not to mention endless attacks on men, women and children who have to be open to being something other than how God created them. Now what? Plurality goes off the rails spiritually when a Hindu temple is erecting a 90 foot statue of a Hindu God down in Texas, still a state of the union last I heard. It’s going down so fast it seems. Then we discuss some freedoms of speech and religion that are also going the way of the phone booth – only with greatly significant consequences. Suppose God is removing His hand of protection from idolatrous Americans? Although we are not a Christian nation under the banner of salvation, we have held high the freedom, morals, and good neighborliness that love requires for our entire existence. A great hour with a superb teacher of the Scriptures, and a watchman.

American voters think that what’s best for us is always something different, but history shows that is a very dangerous mindset. According to FOX, Gen Z voted for Trump and Mamdani for the same reason: change. The level of shortsightedness here is astounding. We went from weekly newspapers in large cities back in the 19th century, to daily in the last century, to non-stop today and newspapers are not even read anymore. In light of all of this, we talk about redeeming the time in a very encouraging article to start us out. Then we talk about the uniqueness of Israel – but in a way you may not have thought of because God is sovereign over ALL nations (Acts 17). More headlines – Big Food wants us all to be vegans, and they can prove it. Finally, we answer the the question, “What is Israel?” If churches won’t teach prophecy because of a few who mishandle it, they could at least teach God’s plan for Israel of the ages, which should build our faith. There wasn’t even a school ID necessary, probably because that leaves the door open for paid actors to come in and rile everyone up. Also on the agenda: China rare earth elements, and why the US has to care about that; and the latest on Smart Cities for Dummies. What the globalists think is important; ie, what they can get away with, never ceases to amaze. Today Mary welcomes Dr. Tim Chaffey to discuss the controversial Hebrew Roots Movement. Far from simply trying to understand the Jewish roots of the Bible, this movement seeks to answer the question about what happens when Gentiles and Jews get saved: do Gentiles become Jews? For centuries, the people of God were Jews, with the exception of some Gentiles who came to faith in the God of Israel. The early church consisted mostly of Jewish believers in Jesus, but when the gospel went to the Gentiles, there was a new dynamic that, unfortunately, even led some to believe that Christians were the new Israel and now received all the promises of God solely. This teaching continues today across the church spectrum. Why is there so much confusion about who is who, when the epistles clearly address these things head on? But with the HRM, there is even more confusion regarding the Mosaic Law, the feasts of Israel, who is a Jew, and what is Israel. Then we look at a random selection, or snapshot of the day: DEI gone wicked in Colorado; hypocrisy and Hamas both home and abroad. Those who watch tend to murmur that it’s difficult to keep up, but there are some significant subjects that always warrant our inspection and attention: Israel, a global money system, a world government, and a global religion. In this installment of Stand Up, we explore the archaeological evidence for the Exodus with Creationist Brian Young of the Creation Instruction Association. If you are a student of the Bible and believe it is the Word of God from beginning to end, you might not ever have asked this question over, say, a 7 day creation issue or any other hot topic in the church today. If you ask scholars, or even just generative Ai, you will get the answer that it is a myth and it doesn’t matter because, well, what a great story! But this approach is largely secular – and dangerous. Because history, and especially biblically archaeological history is so exhilarating, we should welcome any evidence that all those people who lived so long ago were part of one of the great events in Israel’s history, and it speaks of a God who tells us exactly what He wants us to know for His good purposes. Given that Israel had grown to represent a fairly large number over the 430 years, evidence of their lives should be available in one form or another. A fascinating topic for discussion and study.

Mary chats with theologian, author and speaker Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum. He is one of the foremost authorities on the nation of Israel. He received his BA from Cedarville University, and his Masters of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary.The completion of his dissertation, Israelology: The Missing Link in Systematic Theology, was the culmination of 13 years of research for which he earned his Ph.D. at New York University in 1989. He has done graduate work studies at the Jewish Theological Seminary in NY and Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is the founder and director of Ariel Ministries, which is dedicated to evangelism of Jewish people and discipleship of Jewish and Gentile believers from a messianic Jewish frame of reference. His testimony as a Messianic Jew goes back to the 1940s when his parents were driven from their home in Poland, ending up eventually in the US after the war. A full version of his conversion is found here. Today we discuss his story as well as the biblical teaching that all of Israel shall be saved. Gentiles often have questions about this very subject because today’s churches are not clear on this issue, citing that since Israel is gathered in unbelief since 1948, today’s Israel has no prophetic significance. Dr. Fruchtenbaum’s teaching on the 5 covenants of Israel and who exactly is in the land clears this up. Dr. Fruchtenbaum has a pre-trib, pre-millennial, dispensational perspective; his teachings help the Gentiles understand the Jewishness of the entire Bible. Still, the CCP is devilishly good at conducting its own particularly virulent form of it. The PRC version of political warfare poses more than a unique challenge. The Commandant of the Marine Corps identified the PRC as “the long-term existential threat” to the United States. Central to that threat to the United States and its partners and allies is PRC political warfare. With this massive, well-financed capability, the PRC hopes to achieve victory over the United States without actually fighting a kinetic war. Translation: “never” – because there is no indication that mankind is going to turn the corner on the darkness that has gripped the planet. And regarding Israel, it’s truly a spiritual battle and one that humans are all too willing to take sides on – and be wrong at the top of their lungs. A lot of Christians read quick, daily devotionals as part of their routine. The concern is in some cases it has replaced reading and studying God’s Word in depth as we become busier and busier and are looking for that “quick fix” instead of a deep, intensive Bible study.

It is understandable that Americans are divided on Supreme Court nominees, but Christians should not be. It is heresy to claim Jesus would support a woman's right to abort her child because, "Jesus would advocate for a just society that allows people to live their lives to the fullest." Apparently that advocacy does not apply to the life of the child hanging in the balance in a mother's womb. One of the problems with the American church today is a lack of solid foundation built on the Scriptures and on Christ alone. Research from Barna, Pew, and others have backed up the fact that one of our biggest problems is biblical illiteracy. There are many reasons for this including our love of entertainment, but watered-down teachings are certainly a factor as well as the infestation of the cult of liberalism within modern Christianity.
One thing we seem to have lost is our love for the truth of God's Word, for spiritual things, for Israel, and particularly for the Old Testament. With many mega-church pastors preaching seeker-sensitive sermons and some ignoring or even criticizing the Old Testament, it's easy to understand part of the reason we are where we are today. We now live in a country where culture has more influence on the church than the church does on culture.

According to 1 John Chapter 4, Islam is clearly a religion of Antichrist since Islam denies that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh. The holy books of Islam also call for world-wide domination through Shariah law which contradicts the U.S. Constitution and has often been imposed by extremely violent methods throughout history.
We must remember however, that Muslims are people made in the image of God, but they have been deceived by the father of lies. They need the gospel of salvation by knowing the true Jesus Christ, not the fictitious "Issa" taught in the Quran. This leaves Christians in a challenging position. Some Muslims are being radicalized to destroy our way of life and attack when called to do so and yet, we are faced with the command of Jesus to share the gospel and make disciples of all people and nations.
It's important we have an accurate understanding of Islam. The media, government, and public education paint Islam as a religion of peace and tolerance, but few ask what do you mean by "peace"? And in breaking news yesterday, a mentally sick and evil man walked into his former school that had expelled him and opened fire on students and faculty killing at least seventeen people. There have already been calls for expanded government control of guns and schools in reaction to this tragedy. Is this the best path?

There is an interesting dichotomy when we look at how two major religions--Christianity and Islam--are increasingly perceived and treated in our nation.
Biblical Christianity calls on us to love all people, even those who are directly opposed to and violate God's Word. Islam calls for punishment and even death to classes of people such as homosexuals or those who call themselves "transgender".
Biblical Christianity teaches that men should honor and cherish their wives; Islam teaches that wives are more like property than cherished partners. They can be beaten or divorced on a whim.
So which of these religions should be the one feared by women and homosexuals? Islam. Yet it continues to get a pass with feminists, the radical homosexual movement and the media, while Christianity is framed as a religion of hate and bigotry. Which religion is being kicked out of schools and shouted down in public? Christianity, while Islam is promoted celebrated in public schools and feminist circles.

President Trump's proclamation of Jerusalem as Israel's capital has set another prophetic wheel in motion to show the world's hatred for Israel, just as the Bible foretold. And the influence of Satan on world leaders and governments is slowly bringing the world to the final stage where all nations will stand in opposition to God.

And even here in the U.S. we see Christian Churches opposing Israel and refusing to see Islam for what it is: a socio-political, economic system wanting global domination and using a false deity to advance its goals. Meanwhile, millions of Muslims risk eternal separation from God because we as Christians lack the courage and wisdom to share the truth of the gospel with them.
