I first discovered KANLUGAN by accident. By then, I didn’t know that the deaths of Overseas Filipinos in the US are at a disproportionate rate.

I had the urge to then ask if I can get them on the podcast, and they answered.

“Yes.”

In this episode, Cherisse and I talk about the healthcare workers of Philippine ancestry who have fallen to Covid-19, it’s lack of media coverage, and its effects on the Filipino Diaspora

We also discuss the history of Filipino migrant workers, the culture surrounding OFW’s, and the future of the Filipino diaspora.
