Azul and May talk about something very very real, internalized misogyny and what that means to us. We have all heard the "I am not like the other girls" " I am NOT like the other girls" how our culture has taught both girls and boys that women and women's interests are lesser than man and this idea is very present in our day to day. The pick me girl trope exists because our society has put more value on what a boy or man thinks of the world, but at the end of the day, we have to pick ourselves, pick YOU, do not try to be pick by a boy but rather pick yourself!! Azul and May also talk about how tik tok has become a safe space in which a lot of feminism and women empowered has been celebrated, young creators share their views on life, and is actually incredible profound, the most incredible thing is that is a safe space in which different groups of people can all share their ideas and question society rules, therefore you can find a lot of femininity in the app. We also talk about how some TV shows that are very popular are incredibly sexist and are a reflection of how sick society is. We also talk about cats because why not... cats have been hated on and for what?!?! well we tell you and how stupid that is. We are all created equal, men and women, it doesn't matter, we all rock and are special beyond belief, but women need to stop trying to impress men and go behind other women back to appeal to the male gaze. Appeal to yourself, united with others, women friendships is the most powerful thing there is!!! We are magic when we are together.
