In this episode, our host, Zoe Wooles, discusses Deep Cove and the traditions in the area with prominent author, Trevor Carolan. They reminisce on the event, Deep Cove Daze and talk about what effects the recent pandemic has had on Canadian life. Continuity and Change are prominent parts of Canada’s national identity and this episode explores first hand experiences.
In this episode, our host discusses “coffee culture” in our modern world. The tradition of constant work and no rest is the focus of the 3rd episode of unTraditional.
On the second episode of unTraditional, we talk to Riho Kalda. His and his Dad’s story and guide us through Estonia in World War Two. On the very first episode of unTraditional, we discuss Justice Bertha Wilson and why she is the greatest Canadian. Justice Wilson was the first woman on the Supreme Court of Canada in 107 years! The impacts she had on the laws that rule over Canada, truly make her the greatest Canadian. This episode includes a fantastic interview with Nicole Henderson, the acting director of the Wilson Moot, and Maia Prichard, a very inspirational member of Seycove Secondary.
