Knowing what to do when reporting child abuse is very important for the safety of children. It might be hard talking about this subject but it’s not only extremely helpful for people to know how to handle it when it occurs, but could also potentially save lives too.

Reporting suspected cases of child abuse should happen when someone (child or adult) indicates harm may have occurred. Forms of harm can be violence (physical injury), neglect , sexual exploitation which includes exposure to pornography , emotional maltreatment such as bullying . People who work closely with young people like teachers doctors nurses social workers etc should report these concerns if they see something unusual.

Our intent on this episode is to provide steps in the process toward healing and recovery. There is small mention of potential abusive situations.
