What is the toughest thing to recycle? MLP or Multi-layered plastic. Who is recycling it today in India -  no one that we knew of. It is largely getting burnt for energy recovery - producing harmful fumes and what not. Only may be 2-3% of the entire volume is potentially going for pyrolysis.

Anish Malpani and his team at Ashaya are recycling what no one recycles - Multi layered plastic (those tetra pack milk bottles and chips packets). And to demonstrate use case of the recycled plastic, they made the coolest products - sunglasses - that don't break.

Today the Sustainably Yours team members, Tania and Kinshuk, meet Anish to understand all about Ashaya - and what he is trying to achieve. It is a very interesting story - told in an extremely engaging manner. Don't miss it.
