Lets look at their ancient legacy of healing and beauty practices, their is a deeper knowledge and wisdom to heal the feminine body mind and spirit holistically to achieve optimum wellness ,Lets take a journey back, and begin an adventure of healing and transformation. This journey will take us on the healing from within, that is were the true healing must be done, this inner healing will manifest outward. these are the ancient ways of healing or ancient modalities or ancienttechniques.

Sonya Clark  will be our Guest  speaker this evening, we will be discussing, The Hair Craft Project.  Sonya Clark is a Professor of the arts and crafts department at Virginia Commonwealth University.  Hair is a central theme in her artwork.  She has exhibited in over 300 museums and galleries on every continent. This month she's focusing her attention on Richmond Virginia,  in addition to the collaboration Hair Craft Project, it celebrates the connection between the hairdressing and textile techniques.  Eleven of Richmond's hair stylist  who work with natural hair participated.  Photographs of the hair styles the stylist gave, Sonya Clark are shown alongside thread stitched canvases they manipulated.  The project is on view at 1708 Gallery February 15, through March 8 to view.
