Alright, so in this episode we read a newspaper clip in Mina's journal. There was a freak storm off of Whitby coast and a derelict ship all but crashed into shore. More surprising was the dead man lashed to the wheel. As well as the large dog that ran off the ship never to be seen again. We start reading H.P. Lovecraft's The Dunwich Horror. As we read the first three chapters, we find that Dunwich is dilapidated. That there was a boy born out of wedlock to an old family of the town. All the more spoken about because of his dark complection when his mother is albino. He also grows up very quickly, his house smells of death, and cattle seem to be disappearing. I really went more patriotic than president's day, but that's because I felt closer to it. There's also a lent/Easter poem by Emily Pauline Johnson. Also read were "I hear America Singing" by Walt Whitman and "Let America be America Again" by Langston Hughes who was highly important in the Harlem Renaissance. In fact, I feel his name is almost synonymous with the movement. Happy Black History Month, all.

We hit the 1/2 way mark with chapters 21 & 22 of The Invisible Man. He continues to recount how he got into his current predicament to Dr. Kemp.
