We are spiritual beings having a human experience and what that means is there will be times of our humanness that the Lord wants to use to help others. I share how taking my eyes off Jesus caused me to begin to drown like Peter. I hope this quick message helps someone. Psalm 119:105, Matthew 14:28-33, Ephesians 3:20 ESV
Why copy the original if it didn’t work? Because it did!!!!! It worked but, others thought it could be done better. Sometimes we get tricked into believing that other things will be better than Jesus.
So many harmful thoughts and feelings flood our minds and hearts and we just allow them to run rampant and control our actions and speech. Today we ask the right question about them.
Procrastination has been something that we all have done but, the Bible has something to say about it. Let’s listen.
Today we take back our peace. The Holy Spirit wants to help us see that we have what we are looking for.
Proverbs 3:5 calls for us to trust in the Lord. Today we will talk about the reasons we struggled with trust in the Lord. No longer will we struggle with trusting in Him after today.
The Bible teaches us that rest is vital to our lives and we discuss how it is necessary for us to rest. We can relax, God’s got it. Matthew 11:28-29 assures us that we can rest and the Lord gives us rest. Let us rest to become our best. Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing. Love, D. Malone
In this episode we will talk about how people see us and how we see ourselves. Jesus, Peter, Joseph, Jeremiah and Moses were considered nobodies who are somebodies. God takes the one who people think are a nobody and exalt them and show that they are somebody. God uses the “nobodies”. We are His masterpiece.
As we safeguard our valuables it’s important to guard our hearts, minds, spirits and souls.

Walk with me as I take us through the last few Weapons of our warfare. Ephesians 6:16-17 NLT I pray this blesses you and you share his episode. Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing. I love you all.
Esau sold his birthrights for some food. What do we sell for ours? Listen as we go deeper into Genesis 25:27-34 NLT
We are all made in the image of God and yet we may have forgotten that. This is a reminder and an insecurity killer message.
Boundaries are important to keep us safe and holy. Listen as we hear from the Lord regarding our boundaries. Join me @iamdmalone on Instagram Live Sunday at 2pm ET/1pm CT/ 11 am PT for the Recap of this episode.
Today we hear about having and giving grace, mercy, compassion and forgiveness. Entering into God’s rest will help us to take it easy.
This message goes deeper into the Lord’s Word. This is the message from today’s Sunday Study and Worship. Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing. Love D Malone
The Lord gives some of us a vision, dream or a word about what will be and what He wants us to do and in the excitement we told others prematurely. This word is going to help us understand why it is best to keep it until the Lord says share. We will look at Nehemiah again. Nehemiah 2:12,16 NLT
There are two women who had to look at what they had, while confessing what they didn’t have. Listen as the Holy Spirit talks to us about using what we have for God’s glory.
God has created us to stand out to later stand up. We are solutions to a problem. Today we hear about a few people in the Bible that God made stand out to later stand up. I pray this will bless and help to be okay with standing out for the Lord. Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing.
God is seeking those who are willing to commit themselves and everything they do to Him. Today we discuss the reasons some resist to commit and how to break those strongholds in the Name of Jesus.
Galatians 6:9 tells us, “And let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. The Lord knew the issue with us growing tired not just physically but emotionally, mentally and spiritually and He encourages us to give Him our burdens, He can carry them and us. Paul knew too and in this text is encouraging the Galatians to not grow weary in doing good it will come back to them as long as they don’t give up. That message stands true for us also. Keep going.
Today we talk about Nehemiah again but, the Holy Spirit showed some things I didn’t see before. Listen as we hear from the Holy Spirit about how we can stay on guard living like Jesus and seeing Nehemiah’s example of that.
I wanted to share how my thoughts were an issue for me. I’m now working on my thought life with the Holy Spirit and staying grateful for everything so I can live and love freely.
God did not create us to live in our past and He does not want us living in fear and anxiety for the future. Where the mind goes the body follows. Our body reacts to our thoughts and our behavior and speech govern our direction. Living in the past or future robs us of the present. God has given us peace and joy, we have access to it but we allow the thoughts of the past and future steal them away. Today, the Lord will help us to live in the now. The present is a gift for us to enjoy so let's start today. Listen to hear what the Holy Spirit reveals to us. For all scriptures heard please refer to my Instagram page @iamdmalone. Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing.
Time to shed the identity that doesn’t belong and know who we truly are in Jesus. Only He can give us our identity. Listen for more on this…
Jesus was and is rejected by His own people and He went through it for us to know how to handle being mishandled. Listen to hear more about rejection. Mark 6:1-6 NLT
Happiness is thought to be an outward thing. We search for it through people, places and things but those add temporary joy. The Lord has given us everlasting joy with Him in Him.
Love is in need. Most of us think love is conditional but it’s unconditional. God is love and we need Him in our lives to produce love. Paul’s prayer for the people of Philippi is what we will be looking at. Philippians 1:9-11 NLT
How we handle the process determines the success. We want what the world says is success but it is God who has the final say. Quality requires process. Spiritual growth and healing is a process. What we need is in the process.
Once we have surrendered our lives to God there are ways to help us remain in Him. Listen as they are shared.
Joseph is fruitful because of his connection to God. We can only be a fruitful tree if we remain connected to the living water, ever flowing fountain Jesus Christ. Listen as the Holy Spirit speaks to us.
In 2 Samuel 24:1-10 NLT David takes a census and later regrets doing so. We take a look at what his real reason for doing so was.
David’s worship is upsetting to Michal and He continues to worship anyway. 2 Samuel 6:1-23 AMP
Here in the two stories we learn that David understand that it would not be right if his sacrifice did not cost him anything. He was willing to pay with what he had including his worship. It cost him money, and image and David was fine with that.
The Parable of the Wheat and the Weeds shares with us what will happen when Jesus returns and the world ends. As the children of God we can look forward to a new life in eternity in the Kingdom. The enemy and his people will be burning, weeping and gnashing teeth everyday in hell. Matt. 13:24-30,36-43
In this story Jesus showed up unrecognizable to two of His followers who were so distraught by His death that even though they were told that their dream of Jesus saving Israel was happening because Jesus lives. They didn’t believe because they were stuck in the grave in their minds. It took Jesus breaking the bread to open their eyes to see He was with them the whole time they were walking away from Him. God sees us hurting over the things that died and wants us to come back to Him and watch them live. Because He lives. Life grows out of death. Mark 16:11-13 NLT Luke 24:12-35 NLT
Good Friday commemorates the day Jesus died on the cross but, it didn’t end there. In three days He rose from the dead. We were set free, given the victory over sin, given life more abundantly and our relationship with God is restored. It wasn’t over when He went to the grave. He got up! We will too. To that dead thing in our lives, we have hope that as long as we live it will too. It’s not over The Lord is faithful to complete the work He’s started in us. Mark 10:34, Mark 15- 16, Isaiah 53:1-12 NKJV
The Lord is teaching us to not judge others but, to work on ourselves and then lovingly help others. Forgive others and show compassion, extend grace and mercy and let the Lord handle the rest.
We can get distracted with doing things that we miss out on being in the presence of the Lord. We allow distraction to take our focus off of the Lord and throw us off course. Mary and Martha show us what to do and what not to do. Luke 10:40-42 NKJV
The airwaves is communication with the Lord. We keep them open by getting in His Word, Spend time with Him, praying and believing and worshiping Him. Then we listen for His voice and instructions.
If the Lord has you waiting, wait well and know that He has not forgotten about you. If He said No, He has something better. Know He hasn’t forgotten about you!
Praying is important to our relationship with Jesus. Let’s hear from the Lord about prayer. We must surrender in prayer and stop trying to control God and our outcome.
Unfortunately there was no NEW episode this past Friday but, there will be this upcoming Friday, Lord willing.
Listen as the Lord speaks to us about surrender and submission to Him and His will for our lives.
Stability in a time of uncertainty may seem almost impossible but, nothing is impossible for the Lord. It is imperative that we as believers get and stay stable. Listen as we here more from the Holy Spirit on this.
God is calling for us to be and remain stable. Stable spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. Jesus is our solid foundation. Our foundation is important for our stability. We have an anchor. We have work to do. We have a position and we need to stay in that position. Don’t get dragged out of position.
We created to love God, ourselves and others even our enemies. We have lost sight of God’s way to love. It’s time to love God’s way. Read 1 John 3:18-24 NLT
Colossians 3:2 NKJV God wants us to shift out thoughts to things above. Don’t trip off of what we see in the natural, it’s a distraction. When we shift our thoughts we change our sight. Our thoughts guide our focus. Focus on God and we’ll see God in everything. The good in everything. This world is temporary and ever changing but, the Lord is eternal and we will live after we die with Him.Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing.
Matthew 1:23 NLT Tells us that God is with us. Jesus is God coming to us in a earthly vessel to save our souls. We have Jesus and He sent the Holy Spirit to be with us always. Immanuel our God is with us. I pray this brings some comfort, peace and joy to every heavy heart. You are not alone and you are loved. Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing. Merry Christmas Love, D. Malone
God did it for love Jesus did it for love. They love us so much that showed it and continue to show it. As we approach Christmas, it is our reminder of their love and accept then overflow with it. 1 John 4:10 NLT
Take delight in the Lord it helps take our sight off of our wrongs and directs it to the right. Jesus the Light. Be glad even if things are bad. It’s the joy that changes our vision and emotions.
With the Thanksgiving holiday just behind us it's important that we keep our gratitude going. When gratitude and thankfulness is a daily thing we see our lives transform.
Access to the presence of the Lord has been granted to us. We have the keys through His Word, meditation, prayer, praise and worship. Ephesians 3:12 NKJV
Our lives go in the direction of our choices. God has given us free will that we would freely choose Him. We can choose between blessings and a curse.
God wants us to be free of double mindedness. Be sturdy in our faith in Him. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Sometimes we don’t get what we prayed for because we did not have enough faith in Him.
Discussing the lie that we alone in our own power can free ourselves from bondage. We need the help of our Savior. It starts with knowing we need Him, then asking Him for help and believing He will and is helping us. Romans 7:21-25 NLT Romans 8:1-4 NLT Romans 8:9 NLT Romans 7:5-6 NLT Ephesians 2:2-3 NLT
We don’t have to live tied to our past disappointments, rejections, bitterness, bad habits. We have been set free but, we must believe that we are free. We can choose freedom. We are healed but we must believe. John 8:36 NLT John 10:10 NLT Proverbs 3:5 NLT
Good Morning Breakers!!!
How we handle our Emotions determines the direction in which we go. It determines the course of our days and ultimately our lives. God wants to remind us that we have help with our emotions. Our emotions don't control us we control our emotions. Emotions are indicators not dictators. Today’s lesson is “Emotions Motion”
Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing.
Proverbs 16:32, Proverbs 29:11 2 Timothy 1:7, 1 Samuel 15, Luke 17:11-19, Mark 5:25-34 All NLT
Hannah a barren wife prayed her deepest desire to have a baby in the temple and she left it there. Not only did she ask, she promised her gift back to God in thanksgiving to Him honoring her request. In time God id just that, He honored her prayer and she gave birth to her son Samuel but, she kept her word and offered her son back to God. In turn God blessed her with more children. No longer a barren woman, all because she trusted God and kept her word to him. She too could be trusted by God. 1 Samuel 1:20 NLT
Job 23:10-14 NLT
Proverbs 17:3 NLT
We go through tests so we can be refined if we allow ourselves to go through it, we will come out pure as gold.
In this parable of the Three Servants, the master had left his money in increments to each servant. One was given five, another two, and, the last only one bag and yet the last one was the only to bury his bag. The master gave each according to their abilities and God has done the same with us. Some of us like the one servant have buried our treasure out of fear of being wrong and or punished. God is expecting us to use what He has given to us and He will increase what's in our hands according to our faithfulness.
Matt 25:14-30 NLT
Luke 19:11-27 NLT
Ecc. 2;26 NLT
Exo 4:22 NLT
2 Kings 4:2 NLT
Romans 10:9-10 NLT
Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing
In order to shine brightly for Christ we must have the attitude of Christ. We may have to go through an attitude adjustment. Philippians 2:6-8 NLT
Paul tells us in Philippians 2;12-16 NLT that we are to shine brightly for Christ. He even tells us how to do so. God wants us to know that it's time to shine for Him that way we draw all men unto Him. The times of dimming the light in us are gone. New day! We Shining bright like the Son!!
Some of us know this to be slang for how we're doing, how's life but, also what's up with our behavior.Well, I believe God is asking us "How you Livin?" not because He doesn't know but to bring it to our attention and to alert us that He's looking. We are called to model our lives after Christ. Put away our old selves, let it die and live new. Live separated from how the world lives, live holy. We are His children and when we know better we are to do better. God's children have to live by a certain standard. 1 Peter1:13-16 NLT explains it all to us and 1 Peter 2:11 tells us further.
God loves and I do too. Thank you so very much for being with me today and I can't wait to be with you again, Lord willing. Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing.
The Baby food Company Gerber has what they call "The Grow Up Plan" and so does God. God wants us to mature in our faith and walk with Him as believers. He wants us off the spiritual milk and on to solid food. We can utilize our spiritual gifts as a babe in Christ because we won't know how nor will we be able to acknowledge. To grow it takes us staying connected to God, we are to put away childish things and not fear the new.
God loves you and so do I. Now, be blessed but more importantly be a blessing.
In the Book of Numbers Chapter 13-14 we see where most of the Children of Israel lost out on the Land of milk and honey due to the report of 10 of the 12 leaders Moses was told to send into Canaan to scout the land. The ten spies came back with a report contrary to the two and it caused the children of Israel to rebel against God. They saw themselves as grasshoppers and the people of Canaan as giants. God was NOT pleased with how fearful and rebellious His children became. He was pleased with Caleb and Joshua because, they spoke with confidence in God and His power. They knew that God will deliver them into that land as victors. They had the right sight , they had God's vision and their faith in God pleased God.
We must ask ourselves Who's in the lead of our decisions? Who's report will we believe? God or the lies the enemy tries to tell us?
As we look at this passage in Numbers 13:17-33 NIV we are reminded that our vision plays huge part in what we do. 12 spies went into he land to explore it before they inhabited it but, 10 of those spies saw themselves as grasshoppers and defeated. The 2 saw the power they had within and saw themselves as victorious. Our vision affects how we see God, ourselves, our situation and others. In our lives what do we see? Which eyes are we looking through? Are we looking through our natural eyes or our spiritual eyes. God calls us to walk by faith and not by sight. Will we get to our promise or live in fear and miss out? Let us ask God for spiritual eyes/His perspective so we see Him, ourselves, situations and others as He sees. What Do You See? Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing.
Who we are as a friend and who have as friends is important to our destiny. This story here in Mark 2;2-5, 10-12 shows us just that.
The Bible talks about friends a good deal. I found and studied 19 Scriptures all about friendship.
We learn about our most important friend Jesus. John 15:9-17 NLT
There’s a song that came to mind .
What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grief to bear what a privilege to carry all our sins to God in prayer.
Jesus calls us His friends and that’s a beautiful thing nothing to take lightly or for granted. He’s the very best friend we will ever have. We are created for relationships. God is relational. He wanted a relationship with all of us.
In this season God wants us to evaluate who is in our circle.
Time to be sure that our circles aren’t keeping us in unnecessary cycles.
And that the cycles don’t hold us to bad circles.
We are to ask ourselves
Are our friendships feeding or depleting?
Pushing us forward or pulling us back?
Are we sharpening one another?
Are we both trustworthy?
Are we there for one another in good and bad times, the ups and downs?
Are we concerned about what concerns Jesus?
God tells us that who we roll with has a direct effect on our journey on our destiny. Bad company corrupts good character.
Bad influence causes derailment and destruction.
Relationships/ Friendships are not to be entered into without using discernment. Are we on the same mission for Christ? The Bible asks “How can two walk together unless they agree?” They can’t. There will be discord then division.
Now, I let us ponder on this
Are we the friends we want?
Are we serving others well?
Are we accountable?
Are we reliable?
Are we kind?
Have we made ourselves available for friendships?
Or Have we let past hurts close us off from being friendly?
Matt 5:44-45 NKJV and Luke 6:27-36 NLT
Speaks on that very thing. They state
“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”
“Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked. You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.”
If we don’t love, forgive and bless those who have spitefully used us, we become bitter and not better so, we miss out on the beauty of being friends.
It weakens our signal to hear from the Lord.
That’s not what God wants for us.
Proverbs 18:24 NKJV tells us that A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
We are to be friendly if we want friends.
We can’t want open books while we are a closed library.
We are not meant to go through this life alone. Culture says we don’t need anyone but, that’s not true. God teaches us to love one another as He loves us. Friendships are important to our destiny.
Ecc 4:9 Two are better than one for they can help each other succeed. Friends are there in times of need.
We can’t get to our destiny with the wrong people in our circle.
God wants us to know that He is our friend and we are to make and be friends. John 15:12-17 NLT
Follow Thru
"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord."
How many times has someone promised to do something and didn’t deliver? How did we feel? What did we think?
How many times have we been that person? How do we think we made others feel? How do you think we made God feel?
In this season God wants that to change. He wants us to Follow Thru.To keep our word to Him and to others.
We’ve heard it said that “Promises are meant to be broken” but, more than the promise is being broken. Let’s think about that. Trust, hearts
And the other thing is when we don’t follow thru it ends up being a lie. I know seems like a little thing but, a lie is a lie. There are no levels to it. God doesn’t want us to lie.
We serve a Promise Keeper and He teaches us to keep our word. Keeping our word is so important to our character and integrity.
He says for us not to make a vow to Him and not keep it. Ecclesiastes 5:4-5 NKJV Deuteronomy 23: 21-23 NKJV
The other follow thru is staying on task. We give up when it gets tough or not going as we planned. What we have been given to do by God He will help us perform and see the promise come to pass. He says I will never leave you nor forsake you. He told Moses and Abram I will be with you. When we give up we’re depending on our own strength not His. It’s also disobedience. Jonah was told to go deliver a message to Nineveh and he chose to go the opposite way. Then gets swallowed by a whale for 3 days.
Lastly , Stay connected and love on one another. As life gets hectic, we tend to reach out one time, pray for folks and forget about them. Where’s the follow through. God wants us to keep love alive. Follow up and follow through. Make time for one another and not get so busy that we let that life slip away. In the church building let’s not focus so much on filling the seats and not love on who’s in the seats. So much of connection in community is lacking because we lost how to follow through. Let’s get it back and build up our communication in our communities.
How to we follow thru
📖 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Col 3:23
Remember obedience is far better than sacrifice. Do what the Lord says to do when He says do it in full. 📖 1 Samuel 15:22 NLT But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.
Love your neighbor as yourself 📖 The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” Mark 12:31 NLT
We will be more inclined to follow through as we would want someone to do for us.
Be intentional with what we say and do.
Romans 3:30 There is only one God, and He makes people right with Himself only by faith, whether they are Jews or Gentiles.
I don’t know if you all have seen or remember the movie the Seat Filler with Kelly Rowland and Duane Martin well let me share a bit of it with you really quick, Duane's character took this job to be a seat filler at award ceremonies. He would fill the void in the audience to make it look full. They search for people to do this job. Fill the void.
Don’t we look for things or people to fill the God sized void in our hearts and lives?
When we substitute the fake for the real you see and feel the difference. Let’s take designer bags for example, we can tell when someone is trying to pass a fake off as real. It doesn’t have all of the details and components that the real one does.
That brings us back to the seat fillers, They are in a place that’s not truly meant for them.
Sometimes to make ourselves look and feel better we try to fill God’s space, only to feel worse because, no one else is God. No one else can love us like God.
When we do we ended up with an even bigger hole. Feelings hurt, ready to throw all people away because of one person. That’s because we may have put that person before God and made them our god and God said NOPE!!! That’s what we call “Looking for love in all the wrong places” God is LOVE and He is the source of love. Fill up on the real. Yes, we experience His love through others but, we must get it from Him 1st and want it from Him. Chase His love not other people or things . Seek Him 1st above all else. Matt 6:33
Money can’t, won’t and doesn’t love us, clothes, cars, houses they don’t either. Now, here’s the thing I’m not saying having those things are bad before you get your undies in a bunch what I am saying is having those things fill the space in our hearts that only Jesus can fill is. It makes those things our gods and we begin to idolize them.
Constantly chasing the next thing for the fulfillment that only a relationship with God can bring. The thirst will always be there like He told the woman at the well, basically this water will cause you to thirst again but, I am the living water and you will never thirst again with Me.
Regular water or Living Water?
Fake or Real?
Death or Eternity?
We probably don’t realize we’re doing this because, it feels so natural but, it's exhausting. Whatever gets more of our attention is God’s replacement in our lives. We have put it or them in God’s seat. The things we focus on most are the things that grow. God is bringing it to our attention to help us turn back to Him. He reveals what He desires to heal.
I want to share three points to help keep us from looking for Seat fillers.
Put God 1st before we get up and out before we make decisions talk to Him.
Stay connected to Him The same way we want to tell our family and friends things tell God. Talk to him about everything during the course of our day.
Be thankful for everything even the hard things. Be grateful for the time and love we share/shared with our loved ones . Be grateful that God loved us enough to share them with us. Be grateful for what is to come.
God wants to be our all and all He’s a jealous God. He deserves our all. Let’s not try to fill God sized voids with anything but our Awesome and Beautiful God. God wants His FaceTime with us His children. We were created for relationship with Him. Let’s take those things out of His seat.
Remember It’s no one else’s or nothing’s responsibility to make us happy. God is the Source and the strength of our life. The center of our lives. God is the foundation for all other relationships to flow from. Let’s let Him pour all of His love into us and fill every void we have. He’s the only answer.
Romans 5:3-5 assures us that We can rejoice, too when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.
So last week we talked about the Confusion Illusion the distractions and spiritual warfare well this week He’s giving us other perspectives to our storms and hardships. I believe God wants us to change how we see the storms right now and forevermore. We see our storms as bad things and He doesn’t. Remember that time when Jesus was asleep during the storm? He was worried at all we can take notes. The rain is meant to train and make things grow. Can seeds grow without water?
God allows the storms to come to do things in and for us. He’s allowing them for good reasons we may not understand while we’re in them but, we will later. There may be strongholds that He wants to break off us, idols He wants to destroy out of our hearts. There may be somethings we may have picked up that may be taken up room in our hearts that are causing rot and decay to begin like a cavity in a tooth. Or we maybe we have picked up an idol and placed it where God should be in our lives. Whatever it is God wants to get us back on track before we go too far off the right path. God allows the storms for purification, sanctification, and refining; we are to be holy like Jesus. It’s all for our good.
In the storms He’s training/preparing us for what’s ahead. There’s growth, strengthening and endurance that He wants to build in us. Let’s remember the testing we endure in school; we cannot graduate to the next grade level until we have completed all the work and testing on the current grade level. The same in our walk with Christ. He’s working in and on us to perfect our faith in Him. Like David in the field fighting off bears and lions He wants to get us ready for a tremendous victory. Training ground.
Some storms are a result of our decisions. God is disciplining us, Correcting us. He loves us that much.
Nehemiah 4:8 NLT You ever feel like you’re in a cloud of confusion. Trying to figure out some things. Feel like you’re getting attacked from every angle. You fight one battle then BOOM! Here comes one more. Seems like so much chaos and craziness happening, and you feel like you’re losing your fight? Can I offer some insight on it all? See, there is a tactic of spiritual warfare that our very real enemy uses against us called confusion. This is something that has worked for him before and that’s why it’s in his arsenal. People only use things that have worked before. He uses confusion to get us to lose our way and focus on it and not on God. He’s afraid of us coming into who and what we truly are. Note no thief comes to rob an empty house. That’s confirmation that we are on the right track and doing a good work. The attacks are confirmation that we are valuable. If there is opposition and disturbances be glad and know that we’re a threat to the enemy and his plan. Because, God has purpose for our lives and He loves us we are valuable to Him and the enemy hates that and us. Who remembers the “I Can’t Come Down “message we did a while back? Well, if you’re not familiar please be sure to check it out on the podcast when you get a chance. I’ll go into it again briefly. We talked about Nehemiah. He was sent to do great work building a wall and here comes confusion trying to stop him. Nehemiah 4:8 NLT They all made plans to come and fight against Jerusalem and throw us into confusion.Nehemiah 4:8-20 But in Nehemiah 6:3 he said “I am engaged in a great work, so I can’t come. Why should I stop working to come and meet with you? He saw the confusion and schemes and spoke to it. In Verse 6:9 is where we see exactly how we are to move ahead as well. Keep in mind the attempts didn’t stop at the one, they tried 5 times. The enemy keeps trying with us too.
James 4:8 NKJV Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners and purify your hearts ye double minded.
Some Context: So God says come close to God and wash your hands, purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided.
the Scriptures before this is telling us that we can’t be friends with the world and be friends with God. That makes us God’s enemy. Reason being is the world is full of sin and it’s the enemy’s space for the time being. When we love the world and the things in it we have no space for God in our hearts and God wants to keep us from being destroyed. We are His. He’s a jealous God. He wants us all to Himself.
God has life and the enemy only has the death to offer.. Deut 30:19
When we come close and stay close we show that our loyalty is to God and He cleanses and purifies us through His Son Jesus. I mean let’s be honest no one wants No one wants their friends loyalty divided.
Let’s look at the definition of What is intimacy is – it is a close familiarity and usually affectionate, loving personal relationship with another person or group. Closeness between people. It’s a tight bond
Intimacy requires participation from two or more (small group of) people who are willing to share all of the parts of themselves openly. One can’t be willing to share while the other isn’t interested in truly knowing. Someone is missing out.
I believe God is calling us to look into Him and see. See who is for ourselves. Seek intimacy. Alone time with Him. I know we have heard this before but, I believe someone needs a reminder and this may be new to someone. Maybe He’s saying really look into Me. He wants to help us do that.

Luke 5:1-11 NLT, John 21:1-17 NLT
This is a story that I pray our spirits leap for joy over as we hear the Lord speak to us about how He wants us to learn to trust Him and not ourselves. I pray this lesson changes minds which will in turn change lives. In this story Simon Peter the professional fisherman was asked to go fishing one more time at the time that was said to be the wrong time of day, the morning. Instead of him allowing what he knew or even how he felt keep him held back he chose to drop his pride and follow what Jesus instructed or advised. Which lead to the Miraculous Catch not just of fish but of men This was the call to discipleship for Simon Peter and his partners. They learned to trust Jesus and then followed Him. Can we see ourselves here? Jesus wants to do the same with us. Will we do it One More Time with Jesus?
I love you,
Be Blessed but more importantly be a Blessing.

Pride Makes Us Fall
Proverbs 16:18 NLT Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.
Pride is defined as inordinate self esteem, an unreasonable conceit of one’s own superiority in talents, beauty, wealth, accomplishments, rank or elevation in office which manifests in lofty airs, distance, reserve and often in contempt of others.
Pride is a slow killer like asphyxiation, the airway closes up slowly as the person is left gasping for air.
Did you know that Carbon monoxide has been compared to pride because you can’t see it and it sneaks up on you and slowly takes you out. In order to recognize carbon monoxide you need a detector. Thank God we have an internal pride detector. Our sin detector The Holy Spirit!
Pride focuses on self/ego. It exalts itself above God. It makes self the focus and not God. It kills our love for God. It is a heart posture issue. No let me say that correctly it’s a heart sin. It’s at the root of every sin. It truly affects everything. Pride is said to be the great destroyer.
Pride says that I deserve better, treat yourself where Jesus says don’t think of yourself more highly than you ought to and He tells us to follow Him we must deny ourselves. The world says those otherwise. Its not wise to follow the world, we follow Jesus.
If we are not careful we can kill ourselves not recognizing our pride issues in our hearts.
God wants our true humbled hearts not the hearts that become hardened. Not hearts that don’t trust Him or rely on Him. He wants hearts that are fully His much like how we want our mates all to ourselves. God does not want our hearts divided.
To get free from pride we must humble ourselves and repent. God is looking for contrite hearts, remorseful not arrogant or proud.
2 Chron 7:14 if my who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
Humility opens up doors that pride closes.
Here’s some help to get free
1 Ask the Lord where did it begin and to show when we were prideful?
2 Humble ourselves pray seek His face and repent
3 Be Sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s nudges then repeat steps 1-3
I pray this message has touched in the way that the Spirit of the Lord has intended to and that pride will not be the sin we struggle with.
I love you.
Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT I know the plans I have for you. Plans for good and not disaster to give you a future and a hope.
We tend to get in the our own way at times and then get upset about the results. The block is the thing in the way, it is the inner Me and the enemy fighting against us and what we deep down know to be true. The enemy is using what the inner me is holding on to to get keep us distracted and in our own way. The disappointments, the guilt, shame, pride, regret, bad attitudes, bad character, unforgiveness, and non repentant behavior. We spend so much time going for the gifts and not the Giver. Battling unnecessary battles because the inner us is in the way and the enemy is aware of where we are! What we are in position to do. We allow ourselves to get bound to avoid the job, the assignment the next level that we know we are called to.We turn on God, others and ourselves for the choices we made. Sometimes, that choice is just choosing to see the negative in situations creating allow and even create stumbling blocks that God wants to make stepping stones. Much like what He did with Job (Book of Job) and Joseph (Genesis 37-50). Sometimes seems we're dealt a "bad" hand or handed lemons but it's how we look at it and what we do with them that counts. God is saying to us get those things out of the way, regret, guilt, fear shame, what ifs, anxiety, disappointment, distractions, jealousy. They must go. It' time to tear down the wall those things built that we put in the path to keep us running into it and not through it.The enemy has a plan for our lives as well, a plan to steal kill and destroy. John 10:10 so, he will throw distractions at us to get in our way as well. That's why we are to remain alert and be vigilant. Jesus came that we would have life and life more abundantly. A life of freedom but, we have to choose. We have a choice to let go and let God. God assures us that He knows the plans He has for us we don't need to know, we just need to trust in Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your paths straight. Jeremiah 6:16 This is what the Lord says: "Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old godly way, and walk in it. Travel it's path, and you will find rest for your souls. But, you reply, "No, that's not the road we want!" It's up to us to get out of our own way. Be blessed but, more importantly be a blessing. I love you and you can't change that!
God wants to set again and adjust Fellowship, The Importance of Community.
What is fellowship? Association, partnership, Companionship society, agreement.
What is community? Society agreement
Fellowship is not just left to the 4 walls, but as we talked about last week it is a part of God’s plan that we meet together in the 4 walls and beyond.
Fellowship is community, community is communion. We are created for communion with God, the Son and the Holy Spirit and also one another. We know that we are the Church and wherever we gather in his name He shows up.
Acts 2:46 They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity. – all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.
It's very important for us to be in a good Community and be ready and willing to fellowship with God the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit and each other.
I pray this lesson blesses you as it did me. Be Blessed but more importantly, be a blessing. I love you.
This is Part 1 to the 2 Part Series "The Reset- Church and Fellowship"
Acts 2:44 NLT And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.
I believe God is resetting our outlook on who is the church, when do we have church, where we have church, how we have, what church means to Him and should mean to us, and why church is important. He’s Resetting our minds and heart postures to bring us into new ways and mindsets and restoring us to some ways we put down. Bringing us back to Biblical truths.
“Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you? God will destroy anyone who destroys this temple. For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.”
1 Corinthians 3:16-17 NLT
“Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,”
1 Corinthians 6:19 NLT
“Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.”
Ephesians 2:20 NLT
“Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything.”
Colossians 1:18 NLT
Mothers on today we thank you so much for the love and care you give. May God continue to bless you. Happy Mother’s Day. To the the Mothers we miss may they continue to rest peacefully and forever in our hearts.
We can't entertain things that are going to distract us. We can't come down off our post. The enemy wants to distract us from our purpose but, he’s a liar! We may get distracted but, don’t STAY distracted. Don’t take on the things Jesus died for us to be FREE from. Let that guilt and shame roll off our backs like water on a duck. We have work to do. Let’s adjust our vision and remember how good God is and that He loves us. Focus on the sound of His loving voice.God knows us best and has the best plans for us. The enemy knows that too and to keep us from being who we we're created to be he tries to get us to fall fo distractions. Nehemiah was no fool he saw the distractions coming via Sanbalaat and company. Lies are a number one distraction. They get us to spin, to join in arguments or fights that are made up to destroy us and our destiny. We must be like Nehemiah and tell those distractions that come up against us "I Can't Come Down! I have GREAT work to do!" Nehemiah stayed in position and so must we. Staying in position means staying in His word and staying sensitive to His leading. Continuing to do only what God has said to do. Not taking our eyes off our road. I love you. Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing.
Nehemiah 6:1-16 NLT
Weapons of Warfare. All though this is a fixed fight we have to be geared up for the war. The victory belongs to Jesus and as His warriors He has told us put on our full armor of God. There's a war going on in this world. Be prepared and Ready!!!
Bitterness Ephesians 4:31 NLT tells us to get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words and slander as well all types of evil behavior. Bitterness is a heart posture issue that needs immediate attention. I believe bitterness stems from being hurt, whether from an offense, rejection, disappointment, loss, being ignored/overlooked, abused, compared, or ridiculed. All of these are the sparks that cause the flame of bitterness to be ignited. But God wants to extinguish those flames and show us how to stop the fire from burning us and others up for good.
As you listen, you'll hear about Naomi and you find her story in the book of Ruth 1. Then Ahithophel's story goes back to 2 Samuel 11 to 2 Samuel 12 this is the start of his bitterness we see it grow in 2 Samuel 15:31 , 2 Samuel 16:18-23, 2 Samuel 17:1-4, 14,23.
Absalom we see his bitterness began 2 Samuel 13-18 Joab is in those chapters as well.
Those men didn't see their bitterness like Naomi did and they didn't get free of it like she did either. It cost them lives. we can't let it cost us ours. God desires to fill switch His love and use us for His glory and that requires us to be free from bitterness and all evil behavior.
I pray this helps and blesses you as it blesses me. I love you.
Be blessed but, more importantly be a blessing.
Prayer is our way to be intimate with the Lord. Prayer enhances our relationship with Him. Let's here how we can pray and learn more about prayer.
Just a little piece of my heart....... Words really do have power and the negative words cause so much damage. People may have projected their hurt, fear, guilt and shame onto you. That's not okay but, we can't return the favor. Someone may have judged, belittled, made fun of us but, that's their heart not a true assessment of us and vice versa if it our words went out. I know this myself as I have said some which I'm sorry for and I've heard some that I'm still healing from. As I believe most of us are and that's the reason for this message. God wants to change and heal our hearts so, that what flows in and out of them is His unfailing love. Luke 6:45 For out the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So with the help of His Holy Spirit we can stand on guard of our mouths. Proverbs 4:23 NKJV Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it springs the issues of life. we know the heart is deceitfully wicked for who could know it? God does and He wants to make our hearts more like His. Will we give Him our hearts? Will we get on His operating table and the heart specialist clean our hearts? We are given self control but, don't have to depend on our own strength to win the war against our very real enemy. the enemy that wants to see us destroyed. God has great plans for us, plans for hope and a future. Let's use our good words for more good things towards one another. I love you, Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing.
How we talk to others is important to God. He wants us to love one another and to put one another above ourselves. This message I believe will help us to see how to get some habits out of the way and bring some new healthy practices into play. I pray it blesses you and sheds some light on some things. I love you. Be blessed but, more importantly be a blessing.
What we say to and about ourselves shapes our lives. Proverbs 18:21 NLT tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue. That means we have to stop self sabotaging ourselves with our words, killing our dreams and self esteem with our words, stop complaining and grumbling, stop lying, stop cursing (using foul language, profanity). Matthew 15:11 NLT It's not what goes into your mouth that defiles you; you are defiled by the words that come out of your mouth. God is calling for us to be careful and intentional about what comes out of our mouths. Lives depend on those words. Proverbs 16:24 NLT Kind words are like honey sweet to the soul and healthy to the body. We are held accountable for every word spoken and not spoken. Obedience and disobedience. Our enemy wants us to say the wrong things or to shut up to ruin our destiny but, God say watch what you say. Let me speak for you. Like He told Moses. And the Lord said to him "Who gave man his mouth? Exodus 4:11 Let us put to use God's words and speak life not death. Let's speak blessings not curses. Study and memorize the word so when the enemy rises up against us we have the sword of he Spirit (God's Word) ready.
I pray this blesses you and touches you to share this with everyone you know needs to hear it. Please be sure to Subscribe so you don't miss a single episode. I love you! Be blessed but more importantly be a blessing.
What we allow ourselves to watch has an effect on us. we must put in beauty and peace to exude beauty and peace. We are what we consume. God wants us to be consumed by Him and His power to exude all that He is in the earth.
God is doing a NEW thing in our lives and He wants us to see it. God does things differently , shows up at different times but, Always when and how we need. Let's ask Him to keep us focused on Him so, we won't miss out on what He wants to do in, through, and for us.
It's important for us to know the fruits of the Spirit and check ourselves to see if how we act matches those fruit. As believers (disciples of Christ) the fruit we exhibit (how we act) plants seeds in others to be watered by another and God gives the increase (a tree grows) and God gets the glory. The fruits of the Spirit are given to us from the Lord, we must remain in Him to receive the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 NLT tells us what the fruits of the Spirit are. John 15:1-8;16-17 Tells us that we that we are the trees and Jesus is the vine, we need to stay in Him to bear fruit. Let's hear more of what the Lord has to say....
Let's look up to the hills from which cometh our help. Psalm 121:1 NLT In all of these stories we see where they looked up and came out. When we look up we'll see the light at the end of the tunnel and know that we too are coming out.
