This is SUCH a special one! I got to sit down and record with Brooklyn Brown, who is 14, and she shared her story of adoption. This is the first time I've gotten to have someone so young on the podcast, and I loved hearing her heart and perspective of God's faithfulness in her life. I pray it blesses you and encourages you. This week on the podcast we have my sweet friend, Crystal. She shares her story, how she grew up in a Christian home, but didn't have a strong relationship with the Lord...and later came to know Jesus for herself, and her journey with Him. That whole journey of getting to know Him deeply prepared her for when her world dramatically changed in July 2021. She shares about that, and how things have been since. Last Thursday was National Day of Prayer. Here in Chillicothe, we have a gathering at noon on our Courthouse Steps, where we pray together as a community. We also have a speaker most years. Well, this year, we had three students from three different public schools who shared what God is doing in their schools. I was able to get the audio file (Thanks Dan Ramey with Litter Media) and share it with you today.
Today you get to hear from Jack Oyer, Norah Myers, and Kensley Messer, as they share what the Lord is doing in them and in their schools. The three of them are all in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), led by Brian Grigsby, and it's incredible to hear how the Lord is using them to truly be the light and share about His goodness.
I pray that as you listen, you are encouraged to know that public schools are not a lost cause. The Lord is raising up bold leaders in the next generation to speak truth and show His love. He is SO faithful!

I just had the opportunity to finally sit down and talk to Aubrie for the first time about a month ago. We were chatting about National Day of Prayer and when we finished I said "well tell me about yourself, what's your story?" She sat there and opened up so vulnerably and shared her story with me and I looked at her and said "PLEASE come share that on my podcast!" So here she is today, sharing how the Lord not only set her free, but then used the very thing that had held her in captivity to be the catalyst to launch her into more ministry. He. Is. SO. This month's pastor's wife I got to chat with is my sweet friend, Rachel Hines. Today, Rachel shares a bit about the season she is in currently...walking through breast cancer. I told her, we often hear from people when they have overcome cancer, but rarely do people share when they are in the middle of it. She talks about how she has found the Lord to be faithful, how He has shown her that He truly holds all of her life together, in every season, and how different life is when we view things from an eternal perspective. This conversation is rich, filled with so much wisdom and encouragement. I pray you are so blessed as you listen and that you are drawn closer to Jesus through it.

I recorded this podcast mid December. I have gone to post it a good 5-6 times, but always, I felt the Lord say, WAIT. This week, I finally felt Him say it was time to share, and I am SO EXCITED to do so. This conversation is with my sweet friend, Dina Dozer. She is a rare treasure in the world, and has a heart of actual gold I think! Dina shares her story of how worship became such a big part of her life, and it is beautiful! She is a defense attorney in Texas, but she was raised here in Chillicothe, so her roots are deep here. One of my most favorite traditions each year is getting to talk with her over Christmas break and hear all of the stories from work. I'm so grateful for the way the Lord places His people all around in jobs where we are able to offer hope to people who need it the most, and that is definitely the case with Felicia. Today's podcast is incredibly special to me, bc it's so real and raw and powerful. Oh my goodness. Melissa shares her story with us and wow. She talks about her life in addiction, and how the Lord brought her out of it, and it's so full of hope and redemption. I have so much to say, and am also speechless, but I know you will be blessed by it.
Logistically, I want to let you know that this one was recorded at her home with her two precious little girls. It's a little loud and there's a lot of sweet little voices and lots of things happening in the background, but it does not take away from the story she shares. One of the thing I pray for my podcast is that it is authentic, and this is real life at it's best! I'm so thankful for the way she powers through and tells her story while wrangling them!
Also, Melissa shares a lot of detail about her life before she knew Jesus, and so I just want to give a heads up that if you typically listen with your kiddos around, you may want to wait until they're in bed or you are able to listen alone.

Do you ever meet someone and think, "There's something SO special about them!"? That's how I felt when I met Izzie a few months ago. Oh my goodness, she is THE sweetest! I have chatted with her a bit at the coffee shop and around town at girls' nights and things, but this was the first time I really had the opportunity to talk and hear her heart and wow...I was completely blown away! The way the Lord has led her to serve in such beautiful ways in Turkey is absolutely incredible. She will be going back in August, and I will keep you all updated on how we can best help her along the way. Listen, be encouraged, and pray about how you can support her!

Today's conversation with my friend Denise is SO special to me. It went in a direction that I didn't quite expect...and I LOVED it!!! Gosh. Her heart for the Lord and His people is amazingly beautiful. I loved hearing about trips she's been on, and how the Lord changed her heart to bring that same servant-mentality to her back yard and helped her to start serving here. What a beautiful reminder that our desires are His desires for us first. This one blessed me and encouraged me and inspired me to get out and see how I can better serve the people around me. GUESS WHAT?! Today, my podcast hit over 5k plays!!! That may not seem like a big deal to you, but for someone who is just starting out with this thing, it's HUGE and I am EXCITED!!! To celebrate, I'm sharing a conversation from April 2022 with my husband, Randray. This was a very off the cuff, spontaneous conversation, that took place while we were playing around with learning how to record a podcast. Randray is and has always been my biggest fan, and he sat down that night and said, "ok let's try this thing." And so we did.
