In this episode we will speak to Pastor Mike Kospir who pastors a Baptist church in Turkana, Kenya. Pastor Mike will plainly about his life as a cattle rustler and criminal before he was saved. He will recall how even as a teenager he was shot in the hand while trying to steal away cattle from another tribe called the Pokot. He will share what its like to work for the gospel now in a region that is desert with a nomadic tribe. You will be blessed to hear his testimony.

In this episode we will speak with Pastor Emmanuel Gaye in Liberia. It was our second conversation with him. However, in this episode he will describe how that he and his wife have worked tirelessly ministering to the Deaf in Liberia. He has been blessed since 2015 to have this great ministry. They have a full-time school with 56 deaf students with dormitories for the boys and girls. They also teach some vocational skills so that eventually these young people will become self-sustaining adults and be able to care for themselves and even serve Christ in the local church. He plants churches in both the Democratic Republic of Congo as well as Zambia. God has also used his surgical skills to help many people medically as well as spiritually. He is a father to two of his own children, but also has dozens of spiritual children scattered on two continents. He is now 70 years old and has the passion and vision of a rookie missionary. Our church in Florida has an average of 990 souls saved per year and 220 baptized annually for nearly four decades. In this episode we will speak to Pastor Harold McConnell. He has been faithfully preaching the gospel for more than 69 years. Now a 92-year-old widower he pastors the Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Cameron, Oklahoma. Pastor McConnell will in the episode recall his time in the Korean War, his salvation experience, and his call to preach. The unique part of his story is that God used him as a vessel in November of 1967 to preach the night Ken and Barbara Pledger were saved. These are the parents of Tim Pledger, the host of this podcast.

His prayer is that in his refuge in Egypt that God will use he and is family to see a Sudanese church planted in Cairo’s bustling city of 10 million people.

In this episode we will speak to Pastor Asher Shahzad. He is the pastor and principal of the Biblical Baptist College and Seminary in Lahore, Pakistan. This Bible College which lies in the midst of an Islamic-controlled nation has graduated over 100 students and started 22 Baptist churches. Pastor Asher is a humble but great mentor to many young men in Pakistan who have a heart for reaching souls for Christ. Asher was led to Christ by a faithful Baptist missionary from Canada who is now in heaven. He will tell us how that he and his wife narrowly missed death a few years ago when a radicalized terrorist carried out a suicide bombing on the very street near his church and home killing many others. We are grateful for his courage and testimony.

He is a printer, Bible School professor, musician and singer, pastor, husband and father, and a well-rounded servant of God in the most populous nation in Africa.
