Welcome to our monthly audio podcast for New Life Music in Corpus Christi, Texas. Our mission is to inspire, encourage and help other people grow in their worship identity. We are all about having His Presence take precedence in every area of our lives as we seek to model the worship culture of Heaven here on the earth.
There is nothing like a personal encounter with the Lord. In this episode, we sit down with some of our creative team and discuss how incredible it is to capture and create content from moments in God’s Presence. We spend much time on social media in today’s world, and we believe that creating content that points people to the One we worship can in fact be an expression of worship. We pray that this episode encourages you in your daily walk with Jesus, and that you are able to find creative ways to use your God-given gifts for the expansion of His Kingdom here on the earth as it is in heaven.
In a society where everyone wants to be a leader, it’s important for us to remember that we our followers of Jesus first and foremost. Whether leading worship from an instrument, vocals, or sharing from your heart on the platform, leading from a place of following the Holy Spirit’s direction is vital to a healthy, Presence driven worship ministry and life.
What does it look like to be filled with the Holy Sprit every day? In this episode, will we discuss the importance of being constantly filled afresh with the Holy Spirit, and how this goes hand-in-hand with walking in our identity as worshipers. We pray that this episode encourages you, and that you would be filled to overflowing with God’s manifest Presence in each moment of your life!
In this episode we will discuss how serving on the worship team as a musician is so much more than playing an instrument. We hope this episode will encourage you and give you a greater insight into how we are all called to worship God wholeheartedly, whether on a platform or not, and whether in the front leading worship, or in the back playing an instrument.
Jesus said it was the two most important commandments: to love God, and love people. All the Law is fulfilled in this two core values of our Christian faith. It is so important that we prioritize loving God with all our heart, and out of the overflow of that love, we love our neighbors around us. We pray this episode encourages you in first, experiencing the love of Christ, and then shining His love everywhere you go.
In this episode, we will discuss how God can use a passion for songwriting to give your church family language to worship God, and capture the unique voice the Lord has for your local church body. Although this episode focuses heavily on songwriting, we truly believe that the Holy Spirit will use what is shared to spark creativity and innovative ideas that are inspired by Him to transform your life and those around you for His Kingdom.
When you hear the word priest, what do you picture? Many of us would be surprised to find out that God actually calls every single Christian a priest of the New Covenant. Whether you have been faithfully following the Lord for several decades, or got saved 10 seconds ago, we all have the same responsibility: We are priests. We are worshipers. We hope that in this episode, you will be encouraged and sets a fresh new fire in your heart for Jesus. His heart burns for you!
With so many growing distractions in our day and age, the youth seem to be the most targeted. The youth of today are left with so many avenues in society trying to fight for their attention, and we believe it is because the youth are the NOW generation. In this episode, we will talk about the revival that the Lord is bringing to the youth today through encountering the Holy Spirit through Presence driven worship, and how a youth group passionately on fire for God can change schools, cities, regions, and nations!
Wherever two or more are gathered in Jesus’ Name, He has promised that He is in their midst. In this episode, we will discuss how when God is the room, all things are possible. As we worship Him from a place of faith, we can be encouraged to know that if we haven’t seen the breakthrough or miracle yet, the story isn’t over!
God is perfect in everyday, but the reality is that His Beloved Church falls short of His perfection. We have all experienced hurt in our relationships with other people, and unfortunately even the church makes mistakes and doesn’t always get it right. In this episode, we will discuss and discover how we can use our “Church Hurt” as an opportunity to grow in Christlikeness, and ultimately learn how to heal and forgive other’s just as Jesus would.
In this episode, we will discuss the beauty and freedom that comes from coming before God will our whole heart in honesty and sincerity. While the world looks at the outward appearance, the Lord looks at the heart. It’s so important that as we find more and more of our identity in Him as worshippers, that we live undivided lives for Christ through being genuine and authentic, seeking His approval and not the approval of others.
Often when we think about what God is like, it is common for us to put our very limited human perceptions and preferences on Him: the infinite, eternal God. In this episode, we will discover the beauty of Jesus, realizing that He embody’s 100% grace and 100% truth. He is our Friend, and yet also our Master. It is vital that we come to terms with the fact that we may tend to lean to either extreme of Who Jesus is, but if we are to truly worship Him in Spirit and in Truth, we must do so with the understanding of Who it really is that we worship, and what our proper response should be.
Back in 2020, life threw a curve ball at the Church in America as we all learned how to navigate COVID. In this episode, we will discuss how the enemy used this time to try and hurt God’s Bride, but in turn, the Lord used such a challenging season to refine His people, use it for our good, and most importantly, for His glory.
When we think of the Presence of God, it can be tempting to equate the experience of encountering God’s Presence to a feeling, emotion, or even a type of service, rather than seeing the character, the heart, and the face of Jesus. In this episode, we will talk about what the Presence of God is as well as what it isn’t, and dive deeper into the reality of how the blood of Jesus has torn the veil, giving us 24/7 access to the holy of holies. What a beautiful promise that we have from the Lord to know that because of His work on the cross, He is always with us.
We were created by the most gifted Creator there ever was. God Himself. He knitted us together and formed us in His image, and with this reality, we can also create. In this episode, we will discuss how God has given each of us different gifts that we can use creatively to point others to Jesus and reflect God’s glory here on earth in all we do!
Who we are vs what we do… A struggle for many of us to wrestle with as we find ourselves in a world where we are taught that our value comes from what we do. But, what if our identity isn’t our job title, our profession and career, our ministry or even the things we do for God? What if who we are isn’t anything we could ever do ourselves, but instead is who God declared we were before the foundations of the world: His son. His daughter. His beloved. In this episode, we will discuss what our identity truly is through a heavenly, biblical perspective, and experience what freedom floods into our lives when realize the vasty simple yet deep reality of sonship to the Father.
Marriage is beautiful. In fact, it is the most important relationship ever ordained by God, as it is a direct display and visible representation of God’s love between Him and His bride. With that said, it is so important and vital that marriage always remain our first ministry, through all the joys, challenges, and seasons life will throw our way. In this episode, we will discuss how we can better serve and love our spouses as Christ loves His church, grow from sharing personal learning experiences, and explore what God’s vision is for a thriving, Jesus-centered marriage between a husband and his bride.
As worshippers, we can only worship at the level of our revelation of who God is, and what He is like. Every single moment, we are faced with different opportunities that challenge us as followers of Jesus to either grow in Christ-likeness, or be comfortable where we are at. It is true that contentment with godliness is great gain, but never at the cost of allowing complacency and compromise to subtly lull us away from growing in the knowledge and grace of Jesus. In this episode, we will encourage one another with practical ways of how we can grow as individuals, and as a church in shining Jesus to each individual we encounter in our daily lives, ultimately so they can encounter Christ through us.
From an early age, society has taught us that our value is based on how well we do things, how great our accomplishments are, or how we are perceived by others around us. In this episode, we will see how becoming the worshipper that God has called us to be far outweighs anything we could ever do or achieve through the art of performance. Jesus paid the highest price to show us that our true value is not a result of our performance, but is directly connected to His finished work on the cross and through His resurrection. This reality propels us into walking out our God-given purpose as children of God, being authentic and living sacrifices to Him in our every day lives.
