The GARF Network is proud to welcome Mr. Greg Nicotero, co-founder of KNB EFX Group, Executive Producer of “The Walking Dead” and “Creepshow” the television series, and long-time associate of George A. Romero.
Aside from being a gifted special effects artist, director, and producer, Greg is also an advisory board member of the George A. Romero Foundation and is dedicated to his continued legacy.
Greg will join Matt and Eric this Sunday evening at 8:00 PM for a live interview which will detail the early part of his career making Day of the Dead and working with Mr. Romero. There will also be an opportunity to ask Greg a question live so be sure to tune in Sunday night!
Joe Bob Briggs, legendary host of Shudder’s “The Last Drive-In,” TNT’s “MonsterVision,” and The Movie Channel’s “Joe Bob’s Drive-In Theater,” will anchor his RV at the GARF Network on Saturday, September 25th at 8:00 PM for a live interview with Matt and Eric.
Mr. Briggs will be on hand to discuss his beginnings in journalism, his history as a television cult and horror movie host, as well as his ventures in filmmaking, writing, and stand-up comedy. We’ll also ask him to share his thoughts on the master, George A. Romero.

The GARF Network welcomes Foundation volunteer, horror journalist, and filmmaker “Uncle Creepy” Steve Barton for a live interview on Sunday, August 29th at 7:00 PM.
Mr. Barton will be on hand to discuss his over ten years of writing about the horror genre, his work in film production, and the time that he was able to spend with the master, George A. Romero. “Uncle Creepy” will also recount his frigid on-set visit to “Survival of the Dead” where he was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming an on-screen Romero zombie alongside the GARF Network’s Matt Blazi.

During the late 1970s in Pittsburgh, an ambitious and intrepid trio of filmmakers pooled their resources together and came up with just enough money to make their first feature-length narrative film. Originally called THE MANIPULATOR, and later re-titled EFFECTS, the movie was finished but sat unreleased for nearly 25 years.
In 2005, EFFECTS was finally unveiled to movie-goers worldwide, and Red Shirt Pictures was brought in to document the movie’s long and winding road to release.
With afterEFFECTS: MEMORIES OF PITTSBURGH FILMMAKING, many of the film’s cast & crew reunite to discuss not only the making of the movie but their experiences in the fledgling independent film industry in Pittsburgh in the 1970s.

KNIGHTRIDERS, released on April 10th, 1981, is a departure from George’s well-trodden path into the land of the living dead: Billy, a.k.a. King William (Ed Harris) leads a Camelot-themed troupe of bikers who perform motorcycle-mounted jousting tournaments to support their tiny society, which is governed by a chivalric code of ethics. Billy’s idealistic creation faces mounting commercial pressure as the popularity of their unique show grows. But it’s not entertainment to Billy, who lives his ideals in deadly earnest, and he struggles to keep the troupe together. Peace cannot reign in the land forever: Morgan (Tom Savini), leader of his own contingent of knights, defects in favor of fame and fortune...and ultimately challenges Billy for the Crown itself.
