When opportunity knocks be sure to answer. A buddy reminds me that its not a pile of shame but a pile of opportunity. I talk about opportunity this episode to help clear any negativity a Pile of Shame and rename it the Pile of opportunity to help learn new skills or clear the cobwebs.
One of the many topics I see coming up is whether an artist should tackle using oil paints. I talk about hang ups and roadblocks I had and what I plan on with my continued lessons with oil painting.
Have you thought about getting an airbrush but wasnt sure. I talk about it not being something to fear but talk about it as it is something to embrace. This week I tackle road blocks artist place on themselves.
Finishing a convention can feel so draining especially if you arent a social butterfly and struggle to attend a convention but this episodes is meant to help you push forward after coming back from a convention.
Nessie the teacher? Yes its true for over 4 years I have been teaching classes and its the main topic in todays podcast. Class prep and what you can do to prepare for your classes. Its simple but I find it very important.
With so much hobbying its possible to suffer from burn out. One of the things I do is paint something else. Work on something NOT part of your main project to recover from the burnout at some point. This episode is focused on that as we discuss further Tournament Prep.
I am a victim of my own mind games and thinking that everything goes my way especially when you think you have an EPIC list for gaming and then dice happen and you feel tilting from utter defeat. I discuss it and how you may recover from it.
With Tournament season coming with Captaincon and Adepticon both around the corner I start discussing about preparing for tournaments and what you may want to do to help make the experience smoother for you and others around you in this day and age of COVID. We reached the end of the week and we end the week of talking about Gundams as well for now and also talk about pressure, setting a focal point for the year as well as Perfect Grade Gundams and what they mean to me as a hobbyist. ENJOY!!!
We take a quick break on the different types of Gundams to discuss more of the hobby that can be involved with Gunpla kits including customizing, painting, panel lining and even some cell shading discussion. I also talk about pressure and being ok to try new things even if you feel pressure that it may fail.
With the next level of Gunpla we look at the Master Grade and discuss some hang ups one may have when they have so many kits but dont know why they havent built any. I talk about my own personal experience currently with that.
I love Gunpla and I discuss how its a zen experience for me and the two starter grades I recommend when and if you do end up get into Gunpla Kits. The High and Real Grade series kits and how they may provide a way help reduce burnout.
This week we tackle (sorry was watching football this weekend) introducing Gunpla and how we start into another hobby if you need a break from miniatures because I know it can be stressful sometimes. Gundam kits are a great hobby and are lots of fun to keep those hobby muscles growing and even expanding.
We love painting our miniatures and I know what it means to get distracted by some new miniatures but this episodes I discuss how to keep your project on schedule if you have one and how to triage what you are working on and what you could be working on next.
Choosing the colors you want to use can be daunting and more if you never done it before and new to miniature painting. I help guide you to the first steps to help you choose your colors and help you understand the use of a Color Wheel and a quick discussion on choose primary and complimentary colors.

We have had this happen at least once where you get a new model, you put glue to it and it wont dry properly even after a long period of time. Whether its a plastic, metal or resin model. So I wanted to start off 2022 with not only some new painting projects but also work on discussing something I deal with as a hobbyist, gamer, teacher and overall human(?) in the gaming community. One of the first things I suffer from at times is what I like to call a "hobby block". I discuss some of the things I do to help break the block in the beginning and help keep your projects from growing out of proportion.
