This week, I’m getting vulnerable and taking you behind the scenes of a major pivot at Author Revolution. After years in constant creation mode—masterclasses, courses, memberships, podcasts—I’m pressing pause on “business as usual” to close out one era and make space for what’s next.

I share how 2024–2025 became my phoenix year: the collapse, the lessons, the hermit/role-model season (hello, Manifesting Generator life), and the clarity that’s emerging as I realign with what Author Revolution is truly meant to be. If you’ve felt the nudge to prune, simplify, or let go in your own author life, this one’s for you.

In this episode:

  • Why endings aren’t failures—they’re invitations to align
  • What it looked like when partnerships, systems, and “shoulds” fell away
  • The real difference between mindset-only work and bringing your body/nervous system on board
  • How pruning creates room for your next chapter (and how to spot what to release)
  • A peek at what’s coming:
    • Write Your Reality – dropping December
    • Write Frame of Mind (2025 Edition) – dropping November
    • Three brand-new, streamlined courses for 2026 designed for this new era of authorship

The Course Vault Sale (limited time)

To honor this transition, I’ve opened the Author Revolution Course Vault Sale. You can pick up themed bundles or grab the All-Access Vault Key to unlock (almost) everything before it’s archived.
➡️ All details live at authorrevolution.org
(Excludes 4 Books, 5 Days and my audiobook programs.)

Mentioned

  • Author Revolution Course Vault Sale: authorrevolution.org
  • Write Your Reality (Dec) & Write Frame of Mind 2025 Edition (Nov)

Takeaways for aligned authors

  • Pruning ≠ quitting; it’s strategic space-making
  • Your business evolves as you do—let it
  • Mid-manifestation is still momentum

If you’re ready to simplify, realign, and rise—this episode is your permission slip.

Until next time… go forth and start your author revolution!

Ever feel like you're trapped on the publishing hamster wheel, churning out book after book just to stay relevant? You're not alone. For years, certain corners of the indie publishing world have been pushing the "publish fast, publish often" mantra, leaving authors exhausted and overlooking a goldmine sitting right in their back pocket—their backlist.

In this game-changing episode, we explore how Taylor Swift has mastered the art of keeping her entire catalog alive, relevant, and profitable year after year. From turning a decade-old song into a cultural phenomenon to weaving interconnected stories across platforms, Taylor demonstrates that creative work doesn't have an expiration date. Your books deserve the same treatment.

We break down three powerful principles from Taylor's playbook that any author can apply: finding new hooks for old works, making every release feed the whole catalog, and playing the long game with a cohesive marketing strategy. These techniques transform your backlist from forgotten projects into valuable assets that continue generating income without requiring constant new creation.

Ready to stop treating your books like one-and-done projects and start giving them the life and sales they deserve? Discover how to identify your most profitable backlist titles, use ChatGPT to create promotional content in minutes, and automate your marketing cycles for sustainable success. Your author revolution starts now—join us to learn how your existing books can become your greatest asset, not just another digital dusty shelf.

Ever wondered what truly makes a Kickstarter campaign magnetic instead of merely functional? This episode pulls back the curtain on the art of author crowdfunding with someone who's witnessed thousands of campaigns from behind the scenes.

Oriana Leckert, Head of Publishing at Kickstarter, joins us to share insights that go far beyond the typical campaign advice. As she reveals, her role encompasses far more than just technical guidance – she's part publishing expert, part crowdfunding consultant, part life coach, and part cheerleader. This unique perspective allows her to spot the subtle differences between campaigns that simply meet goals and those that transform author careers by building genuine community.

We explore the most overlooked opportunities in author campaigns, from creatively engaging backers to designing rewards that deeply connect to your book's world. You'll discover why some authors set funding goals too low out of fear (and the potential consequences), how to strategically reveal stretch goals to maintain momentum, and why Kickstarter's algorithm rewards early engagement. Oriana also shares stunning examples of imaginative rewards that created unforgettable backer experiences, from custom yarn for knitting-themed novels to scented candles based on romance protagonists.

Whether you're contemplating your first campaign or looking to elevate your next one, this conversation will reshape how you think about crowdfunding as a cornerstone of your author career. Kickstarter isn't just a funding platform – it's a powerful community-building tool that can transform not just how your books are published, but how you connect with readers for years to come.

Are you an author at a crossroads, feeling stuck & unfulfilled in your author career? Do you know deep down it's time for a change, but you’re unsure of the next step?

You’re doing everything right—writing the books, building the platform, leaning into mindset and manifestation… so why isn’t your author career reflecting the success you envisioned? If your outer results aren't matching your inner effort, you’re not broken—you’re misaligned. And that misalignment? It’s not your fault.

In this eye-opening episode of the Author Revolution Podcast, we're uncovering the real reason behind the output-to-success disconnect so many indie authors face. You’ll discover how traditional systems are built for hustle—not intuition—and how trying to manifest inside that framework only leads to burnout and self-doubt.

Plus, hear about the brand-new Kickstarter campaign launching Write Frame of Mind and Write Your Reality—two transformational books created to help you write from alignment, not exhaustion. It’s time to stop blaming yourself and start reclaiming your author journey from the inside out.

Fed up with algorithm changes, dwindling organic reach, and constant pay-to-play demands? You're not alone. This raw, unfiltered exploration pulls back the curtain on why Meta's ecosystem has become increasingly toxic for indie authors trying to build sustainable careers.

What began as creative playgrounds have transformed into profit-driven machines where creators work harder for less visibility every day. We've become digital sharecroppers, toiling on land we don't own, hoping for a few engagement crumbs thrown our way. But there's another path forward. When I finally said goodbye to Meta's platforms, something unexpected happened—I found freedom, genuine connection, and more effective marketing channels that I actually controlled.

This episode unpacks five powerful alternatives to Meta dependency: building your sovereign email list, creating communities on platforms like Substack and Patreon, embracing old-school discoverability through blogging and SEO, making direct connections with readers and influencers, and taking back your entrepreneurial power through direct sales. The most successful authors aren't waiting for permission from algorithms—they're creating their own paths to readers.

Your desires for your author career are divine guidance showing you the way forward. Are you ready to trust yourself, break free from platform dependency, and create success on your own terms? Listen now and start your author revolution today.

When authors encounter the concept of manifestation, skepticism often arises alongside curiosity. The internal tug-of-war between wanting to embrace the potential of manifestation and the need for concrete evidence creates a unique challenge. How does one reconcile the intuitive allure of manifesting success with a skeptical mind that craves rationality? This dilemma is common among creative individuals who seek to blend their imaginative aspirations with a grounded approach to their goals and dreams.
In this episode, we navigate the intersection of psychology and quantum physics to demystify the science behind manifestation, making it accessible for both believers and skeptics. By examining the psychological underpinnings that shape our realities and venturing into the quantum realm where science echoes spiritual principles, I hope to provide a balanced view that enriches the concept of manifestation. This exploration aims to equip authors with practical insights and strategies to harness the power of manifestation, blending the mystical with the empirical to empower their creative and professional endeavors.

In the world of authorship, the relentless pursuit of success can often become a double-edged sword. Many authors find themselves trapped in a cycle of obsessive goal-setting and achievement-chasing, believing that this intense focus is the only path to success. However, this approach can lead to burnout, stifling creativity, and a sense of perpetual dissatisfaction. The irony lies in the fact that the very obsession with success can become the biggest barrier to achieving it.

In this episode of the Author Revolution Podcast, I'm addressing a seemingly counterintuitive yet incredibly effective strategy: letting go of the obsessive need to succeed. We discuss how surrendering this fixation and adopting a more relaxed, open mindset can actually align authors more closely with their aspirations. By embracing a mindset of ease and flow, authors can tap into their innate creativity and attract success in a more effortless and fulfilling way.
