Often this is caused through the many changes brought on by menopause, but also can be the result of not putting ourselves top of our to do list. Welcome the 12th and final episode in this first season of the Phoenix Wellness Coaching podcast. In this episode, the Founder and CEO of Phoenix Wellness Coaching, Jeanette Forder, reflects on the conversations and stories we have heard from these great women. We look at the common threads through these stories and what we can learn from other women to help us to grow and develop. We round off this season digging into some of the big philosophical questions that have been lying under the surface of these conversations - what defines us as women, why is equity and fairness so important to us, why we are still apparently uncomfortable talking openly about menopause? We explore Jeanette's thoughts on these bigger questions and think about how life coaching can help women to navigate their life choices.

Welcome to episode 11 of the Phoenix Wellness Coaching podcast exploring women's life choices through the real stories of real women. In this episode we interview Gayle, an inspiring American woman who has faced, and overcome, adversity in her life and has turned those negative experiences into positives for both herself and those around her. Gayle has a great story to tell and again we explore how our experiences can build our resilience, but more importantly, how we can use them to help those around us. Gayle was diagnosed with breast cancer in the early 1990s, when the conversation and treatment of cancer was very different to how it is now. We talk to Gayle about her experiences of undergoing a double mastectomy and how that experience drove her to want to help other women going through the same experience. This is an open, honest and frank conversation with lots of emotion around Gayle's experience, but a great example of how she wouldn't let this break her and how she turned this to a positive and has helped 1000s of other women facing breast cancer.
