A counselor, a teacher, and a Jesus lover Victoria Connell now has a podcast. She is taking blogging to the next level with lots of laughter, heartache, and simple objectives. Victoria brings you inside her life and into her perspective. So hold tight; you might reel in a big truth.
In this episode, I will explain what the past two years have looked like for us. We have navigated fertility from medical professionals in Alabama to traveling to NYC to work with professionals there. It has been challenging and emotional, but God has been faithful.
New Year; New Dreams. Maybe even just big dreams. Whatever your New Year looks like this year is a gift. God has given you a new year to serve him and glorify his kingdom. You are not here by mistake. I challenge you to pray about this new year. Trust in the Lord and follow his guidance. It's a chance, ladies, a chance lead by faith.

Women of Worth. Worthy of love. Worthy of success. Worthy of leadership. We are women, and we are so beautiful and wonderfully made. Made for greatness. It is easy to get caught up in "life." The kids need our last breath, the house cleaned, errands to run, and the list goes on and on. It is time to take a break, ladies. You are worthy women and created for a purpose.

As adults, we spend our time blaming others and especially our spouse, when things do not go our way. We do not take accountability unless there is a positive outcome. Imagine if we stopped blaming others and started thinking about how our actions could create a better result.

This weekend I am on Fall Break. Instead of vacation, we decided to take a break from going and spend our weekend at home. We tend to remember everything but to spend time with our spouses. I am no marriage expert, but I know quality time is essential to a successful marriage, or at least it's critical for mine. I challenge you to take a break from your busy life and spend some quality time with your spouse.

I am starting a new series on marriage. I am so excited about this because we are driving into marriage feet first with temptation. Such a misconception that temptation is a surprise. The enemy knows our desires, and he is always waiting to tempt us in a time of weakness. My prayer is that you will eliminate any temptation you encounter and that you come to realize that temptation is not there by chance. Temptation is present by the enemy.

Life is so tiring, and honestly, I continue to load more and more. My cup is constantly overflowing as I am pouring. Today, as my responsibilities come to a head, I wonder why I continue to flood my cup. Am I searching for something? Am I wanting to feel value in doing for others? Does my self-worth come from the work I am drowning in? Food for thought but either way, it is time for a rest.

But the words you speak come from the heart—that’s what defiles you. Matthew 15:18.
The people who sit at your table can negatively or positively influence your life—weighing you down or lifting you. It is essential to occupy your table with like-minded people. Good people are suitable for the mind, body, and spirit.

We have come to surround ourselves with constant negativity—the news to our friends. When did we become ok with our friends intentionally not supporting us, not building us up when we are not around, and not giving credit where it is due? With friendship, it is quality over quantity. Keep a small circle with big character.

We all have different callings but do we utilize them? It is our job as Christians to follow our hearts and serve the Lord. No matter how we think, other people will perceive us. Even if you fail, if you are faithful in your walk, you will eventually end up exactly where God wants you.

During a storm, the foundation is what determines if the house stands or falls. Last month Dustin and I encountered a life storm. This storm left us relying on the only foundation we had, our faith in the Lord. Surviving by only grace and trust, we made it through.
Who is God to you in the midst of a storm?
