The story of the Bible - when pain meets love. You can see this by simply looking at the cross. The world says hold on to pain. Jesus says to let go, as He has released our pain. The possessed man in Mark 5 was described as having an impure spirit. Everyone has and/or will battle impure spirits. Most of us are living each day from and in the battle. Even so, our souls long for the touch of Jesus and to live in His peace. Give Jesus your pain and live. He is more than enough. You don’t need more knowledge or more training. You just need to give up your pain for love, accept it in faith, and tell your story.
As Christians, we are always being pulled in two different directions. The “god” of this world is constantly trying to distract us by getting us to focus on the wrong things, and to worry about controlling everything. Because we are human, this voice is loud, and feels most natural to follow. But, the God of heaven is also speaking. His voice is a whisper, more quiet than the first, but if we truly listen and hear, it’s a message of a grace that covers everything in love. But, we must let go of our control. Listening to the first voice is what comes naturally to us, and it’s much easier to listen to and follow. But wide is the path to destruction, and “easy” will never lead to peace. You will only find true peace and purpose when you put the Kingdom of God first.
Fearing the Lord is the first and last fear. Acceptance of this truth is the starting place. Embrace this fear which is the antidote to arrogance. The fear of God will draw us away from evil and toward intimacy with God as we live a life of grace through Jesus Christ. We are accountable to God for everything we do. This includes using the gifts we have been given, revealing Jesus to others, as well as being accountable for everything we do and say, and the grace we extend to others. We are to humble ourselves before God (Repent), trust in God’s power and ability (Restart), and treat others with the worth of Jesus Christ (Begin). These are the actions we must take to live out our life of grace through fear of God.
