Was this the right address? Ria said that "Ava's home" was the eighth on the block and it was the shade of olives. Why she told me, I'd never know? I knew I was going to be late if I didn't move now and, if Ava was a late sleeper, so was she. I honked on the horn a couple more times until I saw something come out of the door. The weirdest thing was I thought it was Ava but I clearly had the wrong address, then I noticed the person's green eyes as they swept over my Camaro. Her hair was tied in a ponytail, she wore a peach and white polka dot shirt with suspenders which were attached to a ridiculous pair blue pants, partially hidden by long polka dot socks that were all the way up to her shin. The only things that looked normal on her were her stellar green eyes, ponytail and glasses. Was she a fan of clowns? If so, the only thing she was missing was a red round nose. The person approached the car with reservation.

Ava misskiss After Jace and Ria finally left me alone to walk home by myself, I had a lot of time to think. To prepare myself, or rather to make a strategic plan. Ria wasn't going to make it easy for me, I could see that now. She was my best friend after all. She knew all the weapons that used to be in my arsenal and probably had them ready to backfire. That's what I loved about her though, only this time it was against me. Others didn't give Ria enough credit. She was better at strategizing than I was. Jace was lucky he had her as an ally.

The hallway was already crowded as I made it to my locker. The halls of Chadwick High seemed narrow as a result of the clusters of students that filled them. Their curious glances in my direction did nothing to make me unnerved as I opened my locker. Three classes had finished before this point and the results were all the same for each intermission. They loitered in and around and were really fascinated with the likes of me. After Homeroom, I had less run-ins with Green-eyes which left me thinking either she was ignoring or avoiding every possible encounter with me. It had an effect and it wasn't one I would expect from someone of my calibre. It was not a pleasant one. Aversion was not the usual response I got from the opposite sex.

The days of Summer had passed and my parents felt it necessary to enroll in a new school. I didn't get the point of attending any school now because whenever I fell into a routine they would decide they wanted to expand the business and seek a market elsewhere.

Ava always saw herself as an unwanted, undesired, stain on the wall she called life. She was socially awkward and barely had friends with the exception of her best friend, Ria. Not to mention, she was a nerd since birth. Typical don't you think. That all changed the moment he walked into her boring uneventful life.
