I got an invitation to attend the Festival. I was asked to be my host. There are activities that will be filled in the activities of this Festival, such as competitions, education, and also enlivened with entertainment programs. This event was held for three days. On this third day, the activity was also enlivened by an art performance.
Today I got a quite extraordinary reception by choosing one of these dance groups. This activity can be a place for everyone to present their talents and abilities in the arts. These dancers performed traditional Acehnese dances. Wear traditional clothes.
This dance is performed by a number of female dancers. This dance is called by the name "Likok Pulo". As is known, traditional Acehnese art is generally known as a form of culture rooted in the ancestral and religious values of its people. Likok Pulo Dance dancers sit elongated in an intermittent position with upper laps and are equipped with a bamboo-sized index finger.
Basically this dance can also be used as a da'wah communication media, Likok Pulo dance intrinsically keeps a lot of symbolic, one of which becomes a strategic publication in the making of the identity and character of the community. The symbols of the organized cultural system of society are contained in the movements, accompaniment, costumes, property, floor patterns and non-dramatic features.
Every movement is usually given advice given through poetry by the main dancer who is usually called the Sheikh. This dance also translates beating rapa'i (music) to tempo (metronome) dance. Read more about the dance "Likok Pulo" here!.

FMPA Coordinator, Fakhrurrazi, in his speech before Member of the House of Representatives expressed a joint stance on the issue of regulation of the Aceh Law which resulted in an MoU not being implemented in Aceh. He mentioned that there are several legal issues that need to be straightened out, such as in the Law on the Government of Aceh also the distribution of results is no longer 70 percent for Aceh and 30 percent for the Central Government.
Not only that, other issues are also related to the government of the Republic of Indonesia not allocating agricultural land and special budget post funds outside of adequate special autonomy funds to the Government of Aceh in order to facilitate the reintegration of former Free Aceh Movement troops into society and compensation for political prisoners and civilians who affected by the Aceh conflict for decades.
After giving speeches the FMPA Coordinator, Fakhrurrazi, submitted a dark green Helsinki MoU book and a copy of the Aceh government law that contradicted the MoU to the Representative God of the People of North Aceh Regency, Tgk Juned.

After making long march and speech/criticizing the articles in the Law on the Governing of Aceh that were not in accordance with the points of the Helsinki MoU between the Republic of Indonesia and the Free Aceh Movement, students were accepted by representatives of the North Aceh Regency House of Representatives. There are 29 articles in the Law on the Government of Aceh that are not in accordance with the MoU Heslinki between the Republic of Indonesia-the Free Aceh Movement. Among them, the absence of a Presidential Decree on the Aceh Border - 1 July 1956 had not been strengthened by a Geographic map.
The authority of Aceh in all public sectors was changed in the Law on the Government of Aceh to become a national authority, consequently all the authority of Aceh was reduced, strengthened again with the issuance of Government Regulation Number 3 of 2013 concerning Government Authority in a national nature in Aceh, all Acehnese authorities mandated by the MoU already lost.

Dozens of students in Lhokseumawe, Aceh who are members of the Aceh Pro-Democracy Student Front (FMPA) held an action at the Kuta Blang Intersection, Lhokseumawe City, in commemoration of Aceh's 14th Peace Day. They criticized the government for being not able to realize all the points of the MoU that had been agreed between the government of the Republic of Indonesia and Aceh in Helsikni, Geneva.
By using a pickup truck that has been fitted with a poster that reads "14 Years of the Heslinki MoU, Winning the Law of the Government of Aceh, 74 Years of Independence of the Republic of Indonesia, Winning the Pancasila". The action of giving a speech began with shouting 'Student Oath'.

The mass that held the demonstration continued to move to do a long march with escorted by the police on Monday (08/19/2019). The crowd of around 50 students held a long march to the office of the House of Representatives in the region. According to observations, the mass began to move at 10:30 in the morning local time. Some demonstrators were seen in the pickup truck, and a number of other demonstrators walked following the car. In the long march procession Demonstrans continued to make speeches to convey its aspirations to the government. The crowd filled the road in the center of the city, seen a traffic jam at some intersection points.
Shouts of justice continued to be voiced by the orator who was in the car. They expressed their aspirations and demanded that the government immediately realize the problems in Aceh. In his speech the masses called on the central government, in this case the President of the Republic of Indonesia to seriously resolve the Law on the Government of Aceh.
"If the government wants that unity to be present in Aceh, then first realize the Law on the Governing of Aceh and that unity will be guaranteed in Aceh. If not, we are worried about bad shocks that will occur against this nation and country" said one of the orators.
This demonstration was escorted by the police. Two police cars and a number of personnel were guarding the demonstration. This safeguard intends to provide security to the demonstration so that it can convey its aspirations without any interference. This safeguard is also intended to expedite the flow of traffic so that traffic congestion does not occur.

This is a video of our interview with the Demonstration coordinator, Fakhrurrazi. We conducted this interview a few minutes after the demonstration was completed long march, Monday (08/19/2019). In the video that is more than 3 minutes long, Fakhrurrazi gives his argument to the government.
According to him, Aceh has been peace with the Government of the Republic of Indonesia for 14 years, but the government has not been so serious in implementing the MoU agreement in Helsinki in 2015. In this case, he urged the government to be more serious in realizing justice in Aceh based on the Law of the Government of Aceh itself.
"We have commemorated the 14th anniversary of Aceh's peace to coincide with the 74th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. In this case, there are five Pancasila points that haven't been implemented yet, "
"We are worried that if the Aceh Government Law and the MoU Regulation are not implemented, there will be a tone of great threat, for national unity will be very difficult to develop."
"Our hope is that the Government must realize this justice. Because justice and consultation in accordance with the fifth Pancasila is highly expected. If this is not heeded, Pancasila will be difficult for us to win in Aceh, if the Aceh Government Law and MoU regulations are not implemented, "
When asked about Indonesia's unity in Aceh, he added it would be very difficult to achieve unity and justice if the Law on the Governing of Aceh (UUPA) was not realized.
"It will be very difficult to win PANCASILA in Aceh, if the Law on the Governing of Aceh is not realized by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, and all parties who have authority over this matter.

Dozens of students calling themselves the Aceh Pro-Democracy Student Front demonstrated in the city of Lhokseumawe, Monday (8/19/2019). Demonstrations began at 10:30 local time. According to the author's observations, the demonstrators had gathered since the morning at the Islamic Mosque's Courtyard Page, Lhokseumawe City.
The demonstration began in the courtyard of the Islamic Center mosque, then marched to the Rencong monument and made speeches. At the Rencong monument they gave speeches for about 30 minutes and then moved to the Simpang Empat Roundabout. This demonstration was carried out in commemoration of the Peace of Aceh with the Government of the 14th Republic of Indonesia and as a momentum to commemorate the 74th Indonesian Independence Day. Demonstrations delivered alternately speeches, in his speech the demonstration said 14 years of peace in Aceh, there was still much Aceh's authority that had not yet been completed.
"There is no justice in Indonesia, there is no justice in Aceh. So we took to the streets to demand justice." said orator.
In this action they demanded all elements of the government of Aceh and the Republic of Indonesia to commit and immediately implement the Law on the Government of Aceh contained in the "UUPA". Not only did the long march, the demonstration also moved towards the Regional Representative Council Office in the Region.
