The saying, “I don’t need to rest, I’ll rest when I die” is actually quite common among the older generation. It doesn’t seem to come up very often in today’s society because we “youngsters” seem to think we are entitled to certain things. But nonetheless both groups of people have been running in the ditch.

Christianity isn't about a religion. It's about a relationship that has been reconciled to God, through Jesus. Our primary motive for obeying the commands of Christ should be out of love, not duty, for God looks at the heart.
Most Important Note to take Away: Relationships are built on communication. Relationships are two-sided. You can not have an intimate relationship without both partys participating.

Consistency isn’t about doing it perfect. It’s about falling and getting back up again. It’s about not giving up, and if you do, that’s okay. Come back to it and start running again.
Consistency is about choosing how you want to live your life and where you want to be in the future, realizing all your choices will add up and create what happens and who you will become.

Before I go out for a run, I always have on my mind, “What should I do for a warm up today?” It entirely depends on how my body feels as to what I may need to do.
This reminded me a lot of my devotional time for the last few years. I don’t have a set way I spend my time with God in the morning. It all depends on what I need that morning and where the Lord leads me.

You know how we use the phase, “I think I got up on the wrong side of the bed.”? This is sometimes set by what we thought about as we went to bed or could possibly be a dream you had or an attack from the enemy, but it could also just simply be that your blood sugar is low and you need to eat.
Whatever the case is, you have the power through Christ to turn that around and set out on the right foot. You have the power through the Word of God to change your mood so that you can take charge of the day and set out on the right foot, or in this case, the right side of the bed!

Every time we go out for a run, we know we need to prioritize our warm up. It’s what gets our muscles ready for the work ahead so we are at a lesser risk of injury. What makes us think that running the Christian life is any different? God gives us many blessings and gifts as we follow Him. Much of the time, it is different between each person because none of us are created the same. But there is one resource He gives us that is in the same quantity and measure as everyone else. Time. God gave each one of us 1,440 minutes in a single day. 525, 600 minutes in a year. Tip #1: Why are you getting injured? Figure out the root issue
·There are multiple reasons you can get injured and it is entirely up to you to experiment to see what the problem is.
Tip #2: Strengthen your Core, where all the injuries stem
We are only as strong as our Core. The stronger our core is, the easier and quicker it is to heal from an injury. AND to avoid injuries.
Tip #3: Get Rid of your ego
·If you haven’t seen a pattern yet in this series of the Three Frustrations of a Runner and How to Deal with Them, then you need to realize it now. Pride is a common characteristic among runners and constantly causes problems. Next week I’ll be talking more about this so keep your eyes peeled.

I used to stress out about having the onset of an injury because that meant less training and it threatened to pause my running.
But, I also used to stress out about not having the onset of an injury, because I was wondering if I wasn’t pushing hard enough.
I was so totally confused.
Yet overtime God showed me that having injuries can actually be a blessing. Join me in today’s episode to hear how!

Motivation, as I’ve said before, is fleeting, just like our feelings. It comes and goes in the moment. Motivation could actually be easily classified as a feeling. It’s a good feeling that makes us want to get something done. Though there are many reasons why you may be lacking motivation, here are the top three that seem to be pretty common.
I love you and pray you have a blessed week as you seek our Lord!
“Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek Him with the whole heart.”-Psalm 119:2

After seeing a common pattern among not just runners, but people in general, I noticed a pattern in what caused the most frustration in their life. Do you think you have them too? Listen in to this months episode to find out!

My reason for running has always been the same but I never would have been able to tell you straight up what it was. Only recently, after putting a bunch of puzzle pieces together, has it dawned on me why. I believe that running is something God has ingrained in my heart as part of what He called me to do on this earth. What about you? What has God ingrained in your heart so deep you've never been able to explain it?
"Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me." - Hebrews 13:5-7

Our thoughts control everything about our life. The way you are living now is because of what you've thought about in the past and also what you are thinking about now. So if you want to change your future, you must first learn to control your thoughts. But there is a more simple approach to do this than what we've been taught and it is a lot more enjoyable. In this episode I talk about what I've learned about our thoughts through the thistle plant and how to more effictively and easily (not quickly; nothing good is quick) remove the negative, untrue thoughts from your mind and completly transform your life, bringing joy and freedom that nothing else will. I will try and remember to add the link to the blog post I mentioned when it goes live, but if you head to the website and search for the same title as this podcast you should be able to easily find it. https://www.bestillandrun.com Scripture References Mentioned In the Podcast: · Take your thoughts captive. (2 Corinthians 10:5) · Cast all your care upon Jesus. (1 Peter 5:7) · Be careful for nothing, pray about everything. (Philippians 4:6-7) · Jesus gives us a well of living water springing up in our heart. (John 4:14) · Parable of the Soil and the Parable of the Tares. (Matthew 13) · Ask what you will. (John 15:7) · The simplicity in Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:3)

There is a difference between feeling tired and fatigued. When we are exhausted and can't seem to go on, we term that fatigue, and that's what I wanted to talk with you about today.
God taught me an important lesson about endurance and fatigue during training a few weeks ago and I’m excited to share it with you!

Once someone accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior, there is now some more surrender that gets to be done. I will be taking about Why Surrender is so Freeing in the next episode, but if giving God access to every room in your heart is already a desire of yours, check out this months Mid-Month Motivation, on how you can finally give Him everything.
John 10:10 says, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." So what holds us back from truly surrendering everything to God?

Ever felt like there has to be more to life than what your living?
Episode #17: Nuggets of Wisdom with Kristin Dronchi There has to be more to life, “Is this all there really is?”You might be surprised to realize that, that breaking point, ice-cream on the floor, crying hysterically moment in your life, is what God will use the most in your testimony, because you came out victorious.
In today’s episode I had the privilege of interviewing Kristin Dronchi, the host of The Abundant Christianpreneur TM Podcast. Her mission is to Restore the family unit and bring faith filled mama’s back home to raise their warriors for the Kindgom while making inome and impact doing what they love! Being that Christian career woman and 1st time mom stuck in a job that didn’t align with WHO God created her to be, Kristin knows that inner craving you have to make an impact in this world, step into who God created you to be, and be the one raising your kiddos! She wants to show other faith filled women that it is possible to bring that dream to life!
We cover some amazing things, such as:
Why you don’t need a miracle morning routine,
What the difference is between your purpose on this earth and your calling, and why it's important to know each,
How you can decipher the difference between your voice, the enemy's, and God's,
How to get rid of fear,
And the bonus question for the Nuggets of Wisdom Episode: What is one thing you wish you would have known when you were younger? Kristen’s answer is amazing; she lets us know what the key is to living a fulfilled and happy life on this side of heaven! This is definitely an episode you don’t want to miss, as these keys were exactly what God has been doing in my own life, and the benefits are unreal!
Are you operating in the calling God has for your life? You can only learn to use a tool, by asking the inventor what its intended purpose is. One of the greatest gifts God gave us on earth is to be able to go to people who have “been there, done that.” You must figure out what your God given Genius Zone is so that you can start living the dream God has placed in your heart. If you need help, Kristin is offering a free clarity call for you!

A lot of times I have noticed that Christians hold God at arms length as if to say, "Look God, I got this. I'll let you know if I need any help." The tragedy of living this kind of life style is that we miss out the abundant life He created us to live. We often wonder where God is when we are sad, alone, or afraid. Jesus promised to never leave us nor forsake us, so why does He seem so far away?
In this months Mid-Month Motivation, I share with you how letting God love me and inviting Him to spend the day with me, rather than just letting Him follow me around at arms length has been a life changer. So if you are wondering where God is these days, today's episode is for you.
Jeremiah 31:3 says, "The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Here are few of my favorite verses on rest:
Psalm 37:7 - Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:
Matthew 11:28-30 - Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Psalm 127:2 - It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
Hebrews 4:9-11 - There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
