[From the Biblical Research and Study Center] Biblical insight and teachings for Christian Life in this fallen world Battel training for Warriors of Christ
This is a series taught by Russ Dizdar on recognizing, dealing with and witnessing to the different types of Satanism we will run into as we spread the Gospel of Jesus.
Never forget,, they like everyone else needs to hear the Truth of our Savior and King Jesus Christ, so we need to know how to approach and talk to them.
This is the first session of one of our new programs for Psalm 91 Radio.
It's all about new believers, mentoring, counseling and discipleship.
This Is part of a short 5 part teaching on spiritual warfare by Russ Dizdar.
Ill post all 5 this week probably not in original order but it still works
This is one of a series Russ did on prayer and the mighty power a believer has in Christ through prayer.
You can find more of his teachings on Ragged edge radio and I may post more hear.
Please questions and comments are always welcome.
Tell me what you think, tell me how you have been blessed, tell me your prayer needs. Gold and silver I have not, but I will freely give what the Lord has given me. God Bless
This episode is something I was warned about in my studies on the subject (spiritual warfare) and yet it still caught me off guard.
Some toes were stepped on and arguments ensued.
Praise Jesus for his intercession we were not sifted.
We as Believers should never forget that the enemy is cunning and he will come at you sideways.
He will Sidle up next to you with a smile just before he gets the horse to buck and the only thing that keeps us on track is our Lord Jesus. He is the calmer of storms the righter of wrongs and the great intercessor.
What the devil intends for evil Jesus uses for good.
Thought out this study we will be addressing issues and questions on the subject and pointing out instances of spiritual warfare that normally get overlooked or read through in the Bible.,
The shocking truth of the newest Barna poles on what on what professing "Christians" believe and dont believe
This is more of what God has put on my hart to tell to anyone that will listen. This is missing in the American home and the American church.
Its time to take a stand for your family and to be a shepherd.
So many people profess to have it but do they? do you?
When the Son of Man comes will he find faith in America
Predestination with Dave, that says it all.
Dave is a great teacher from a different camp than I, very well learned and very well read, which makes a great study partner and an even better brother and friend
I see this book for what it is ,,, a book of wisdom and inside, given by a man that spent a lifetime acquiring wisdom.
Some of the other guys in the group had different opinions so like always we had a good little debate about it.
Soooooo this one was a bit or should I say totally off the cuff. Our planed study topic had to be rescheduled at the last moment, so we decided to cover some more of the questions that can cause issues in these modern times of............ Well we covered only one topic or issue, that would be the whole gay issue that seems to be vexing some "believers" and or "churches" in these times of........well just listen to the episode
I'm not quite sure where were gonna go next but this one was fun!
a few rabbit holes and lots of good cross talk about scripture.
Continuing with the book of Daniel,
When I went into this study I had a different plan and like so many times the spirit redirected me to what was more important but for my self and hopefully someone listening.
We need to have a resolve and an unwaveringness and we need it now.

So we start the book of James.
Gary is coming at this one a little differently this time and I'm sure it will just as good if not better then all the rest of NTT. I am truly blessed to have a man of God like Gary as one of my brothers and friend and mentors, What he brings to the table in our studies is invaluable. And as a friend and brother is priceless.
Well this is the last episode in II kings but WOW I think I could publish a commentary on the books of kings now. Like the rest of them this way a great study and we managed to get into another disagreement on the topic of......well you will figure it out. But like always it is done in love and respect.

Continuing with chapter 6 in 2 Kings.
This one caught me off guard. In the research for this one I learned a bit about my self and human nature and I wasn't prepared for what I found.
We had some vary deep personal discussions on these grim subjects and I hope we are all the better for it.
It will leave you sober minded.
Hey another episode with Gary behind the wheel. We started the 3rd letter of John. As always we generated some great biblical discussion. We didn't always see eye to eye on some issues but iron sharpens iron when done in brotherly love.
We finished our story about the horses and chariots of fire and uncovered a cupel of interesting things.
Our friend Larry came back to join our study and had some good insight to share.
And like every Bible study ,, it was a blast!

Episode 20! of New Testament Talk,
We Finally got Gary back in the driver seat after a short time away. We finish out 2 John
and...we have another friend stop by for a visit. He was a little mic shy at the onset but warmed up right at the end and had some great input. We were blessed to have our friend Larry G. in the mix.
We take a good look at supernatural sight and supernatural blindness.
I'm talking about what we know is real what we perceive as fact. I’m talking about insight, foresight, hindsight, spiritual sight and yes spiritual blindness. I’m talking about what we perceive as reality. What we decide is a threat and what we decide is an illusion. What we deiced is true and very real and what we choose to see as allegory.
This was fun and I cant wait to do part 2.

Dave took the wheel for this episode and wanted to teach on “Antichrist”
This is a area of scripture that doesn't get enough attention in our present time. We had a great discussion on the topic and hopefully it will be enough to spark the interest in this important topic to prompt some of you listeners to start digging yourselves. We all need to know a little more about eschatology in our troubled times. Think about it
2 Kings 6
This one is a bit shorter then usual. I was preoccupied with my new baby boy being born and couldn't see the forest through the trees. I over focused on one aspect of research and miss an awesome point of imagery.
Thankfully the Lord has surrounded me with good men and our brother David picked up on what I missed and bought it to light.
I was remined of a cupel good lessons in this one, so its one always remember.
Recourse:
Well Gary was out this week with family affairs, so our brother Mike took the wheels for this episode.
Our topic was 2 Peter 2 Butt,,,,,,,we didn't say on topic altogether to much.
We did manage to find a lot a rabbit holes to fall into and maybe a cupel of rants found there way to the surface.
But all in all we had a great time discussing biblical topics and even got into eschatology a bit.
Finishing up with 2 Kings chapter 5 we look at a paper I found that took an interesting view on this part of 2 Kings 5. So we dove in and checked it out and had a great time doing in the process.

Another exciting and fruitful discussion in the book of 2 John.
We talk about several viewpoints involved with this section of scripture and at one point almost let ourselves get into a discussion about politics?! Yikes!!!!
But of course all is well that ends well, this episode included.
This was a good one in my opinion(of course all of them are). But its a subject I have studied to some extent and quite familiar with.
We do get off tract a bit at one point but we always come back around to the topic at hand.
I want to stress that none of the information given is mine(comes from me) It is all from smart and highly educated individuals that I respect vary much.
Much of the statements I give in this study comes directly from there books and or papers, so If you want to know more please read the material listed below.

Moving on in the letter of 2 John, we had the pleasure of Gary's son Jason with us on our journey. We discussed truth a bit more and talk about what our walk in Christ means. Some jokes thrown around about marriage and our wives, but with any luck were not in two much trouble.
Continuing with the story of Naaman, we look at what happened, what he did and learned following his healing and encounter with the one true God Yahweh. We look at some of the language and culture and delve into what life was like under the “gods” of the nations and what that meant. I bring up one of the things that I am opposed to in today's church, one of things I believe is wrong. Some of the others in our group flatly disagree with me on this and we have a very heated debate on the subject.
And like always even after “a pull no punch” debate or “argument” we remain brothers in Christ, and I truly hope everyone can learn from that.

So we start a new book. We have moved on to 2 John 2.
This little one chapter letter is going to build some great discussion and study time. There is so much packed into the short letter we will be here for a while. Already we started talking about "truth" and what is real truth. The difference between how the world looks at truth and what we believers know is truth. Like there some things we agree on and some things we debate. All of it in love and the search to rightly handle the Word of God.
Starting in 2 Kings chapter 5 and looking at the story of Naaman.
We talk about pride, faith, loyalty, ritual and humility. And being a stranger in a strange land. I get a bit of push-back from Dave on my research which is a good thing. These guys keep me honest and make me show my research and prove the validity my findings and suggestions. That is something we should all do with anyone teaching in the Bible. If a teacher can't stand up to scrutiny he has no business teaching, a bible teacher should encourage questions.
2 Timothy 2:15
Berean Study Bible Make every effort to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman who accurately handles the word of truth.
We get Mike back after his go around with the covid and it's so good to have him back.
Gary wasn't feeling well at the start of the episode(kinda tired and thin)
But I knew the once we started into God's word, that this elixir of life we call the Bible would get ahold of him and breathe life into him as it always does. Praise God. Another great hour of New Testament Talk with our friend and brother Gary.
So this Is part 4 to endout chapter 4 of 2 Kings. I wasn't on my "A" game with this one but the guys helped out and we made it work. Some interesting details looked at and discussed. As well as some great viewpoints and some off the trail info shared. Like always we had a great time sharing God"s Word and thats is what it is about. Finding more interesting the Word of God than the things of the world.
This time we are a trio, Gary Dave and myself with our brother in arms Mike V. is down with the covid. So I'll ask everyone to keep him in your prayers.
It looks like we are at the end of 1 John but I think we may have a little more in the tank to finish out this Great literary work of the Apostle. There is without doubt more in it then we blue collar scholars can unpack in 6 months or so.
So turn up the volume and listen to another great thought provoking session of New Testament Talk
So this is part 3 of what now looks like a 4 parter in 2 kings 4.
I go a bit deep into the language and culture of the times and draw information from a bunch of books, scholarly journals and papers on Ancient Near East and demonology to drive my point home that so many times in scripture there is so much more in the text then we get from surface reading and it's worth the dig if you truly enjoy being amazed at this wonderful book we call the Bible.
(at one point there is a term I couldn't remember but it is---(The doctrine of accommodation)
Still looking into 1st John towards the end of the chapter verses 16 17 and 18. At the beginning gary told me he felt unprepared, uneasy, disjointed about to study today. So we did what we always do..WE prayed before we started then we got into the Word of God. Reading it, Looking at, discussing it, contemplating it, searching it out. And just like always,
Isaiah 55:11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
All worked out for the Glory of God and we had a great time in the Word (told you so)
This is part two of what will be a three part episode on 2 Kings chapter 4.
We covered some interesting ground on this one and even discussed some Rabbinic traditions floating around on this section of the Bible.
Like always we try to show you don't have to have a degree or letters after your name to do good in depth studies of God's Word and join the adventure.
IF WE CAN DO IT SO CAN YOU
This was a great episode for all of us. I was having a trying day and need to hear good truths from the wisdom of the men God has blessed my life with. We all shared, and Gary opened up and showed his vulnerability and where he need to grow, which helped us all to realize that no matter where you are in life or how old you are, the Father is continually working on us and drawing us closer to him "if" we let him and "search" for him and let go of "ourselves".
So going into this I had a plan, and like many time "the best laid plans often go astray". I didn't realize the Lord had something more in store and what he wanted me to see was more than I understood in the onset of this study. So here is part 1 of what could be a 2 or 3 part teaching in
2 Kings chapter 4.
Our tenth episode with Gary and I just can't get enough of drawing from his wisdom. Like always this was a great time with all the guys adding input and and giveing life examples of application.
(Sorry about the background noise of the trains at times)
We are continuing to look at Elisha's story and some of the mess Israel gets itself into. I take a hard look at a troubling passage and my friends help out by bringing new layers to the solution I did not see before.
Yep this time we let one of our brothers "Dave Peachy" lead the study.
And don't let him fool you Dave is a highly intelligent, well read and learned individual and yes he has been through seminary. He's looking at the doctrine of the Trinity, and we found out some great things from our brother and like always we had a great time doing it.
This was a good one in my humble opinion. Some suffered a bit of cognitive dissonance at one point over an unfamiliar term "salt of the covenant" or "covenant of salt" (find in Nums 18:19) but at the end we pulled it all together and found out the Word of God is multi layered.
We are in 1st John 5 and continuing our discussion as always,,asking questions, challenging opinions and digging into the scriptures to find answers. Looking at the witnesses of ,,the Blood, the Water, and the Spirit
Finally at the study center!
We have been blessed with new friends to the show for our new center kick off. As always we had a great time going over God's word and sharpening each other's knowledge of the scripture, threw Q and A, debate and at times disagreement.
We looked at Elijah's ascension and some of other topics that story generates.
As always anyone should feel free to share this podcast with everyone.
So many people are Bible curious,,do your part,,,talk to people about it,,,it's better than Netflix
Praise the Lord we are back!
Still have one more week before the new study center is done and we couldn't wait any longer(i needed a fellowship fix), so we did this one at the local public library.
We are still in first John and we still love to discuss the word of God and his Love for us.
Continuing in 1 Kings we look at chapter 20 and the wars with Ben-Hadad then we jump to chapter 22 and discuss the death of Ahab and the vision of the Divine council that Micaiah has. I explain what the Divine council is and how it impacts our Biblical worldview. We do rabbit hole a bit and have a great debate about eschatology and schools of thought behind that.
We will be taking two weeks of from the podcast, but the great news is the Lord has blessed my family with a new house and the Biblical Research and Study Center gets a new studio for the podcast!
(so the sound quality should improve)
We finally made it to 1 John chapter 5. Like always we dive into the subject for some deep heartfelt Q-A and endup finding a couple rabbit holes to journey down. We were blessed this time with a visit from Gary's oldest son and he like his father Loves the Lord and Loves to talk about his word.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST AND SHARE THIS VIDEO ANYWEAR AND TO ANYONE. OUR MINISTRY IS COMPLETELY THROUGH THE GRACE OF GOD AND GROWS BY WORD OF MOUTH ALONE.
Continuing with the Elijah story we look at what happened to Elijah after the showdown on Mt Carmel.
We also take a brief look at the school of the prophets and the set ufp of 1 Kings chapter 20.
(unfortunately I made a booboo at the end of the recording with the outro music and I buried some of our ending banter,,,I'm not good with this tech stuff guys)
As always...we do this only for the Glory of God,,please like, share, post and spread the news of
The Blue Collar Scholar Hour...to anyone and everyone...
Still in 1st John chapter 4. Gary's insite sparks some great Q and A between him and the guys which always leads to more Q and A and even a few rabbit holes. This is the best bible study group I'v ever been part of, you won't want to miss it.
We look at the showdown on Mt. Carmel between Elijah and the prophets of Baal and learn some of the more cool details of what happened and why. I endup taking a left turn and drill down on the subject of curses and cursing (that's what Jezabel did to Elijah that made him scared and run) We hope you will enjoy our group of regular guys (dudes) that love to dig deep into the word and go on that adventure.
Music for the new intro was originally by.. Rochnstock https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLsrNbDQEN0&t=50s his stuff is great!!! check him out
Getting some good background on the whole Baal thing. What's the deal with Baal, why Baal, who the heck is this Baal? Talking alittle about context and content and why we REALLY need to pay attention to all of that kind of stuff. You don't have to be a scholar to know your Bible.
A look into the episode of Elijah and the widow of Zarephath after his declaration of God's word of the drought.
So we are still in 1st John and we've made it all the way to vs 10!
Yeah we aren't worried about time or how far we get with these sessions, only good NT Biblical discussions with good friends.
Taking a look and the books of 1-2 Kings and 1-2 Chronicles and hopefully showing our listeners why these books have so much to offer to a readed that loves drama and intrigue.
