Cause just when you think you have it all under control, life throws you a curve ball. A sweet little spot where we talk about life events with people living through university and the very beginnings of working life in the Netherlands.
In this episode, we sit down with a very good friend of mine who is currently pursuing a double bachelor's degree in psychology and philosophy. We dive into the difficulties and advantages of doing a double degree and explore how she manages both fields of study.
We start off by introducing our guest and discussing why she decided to pursue a double degree. We explore how she balances her time between two very different fields of study and what people need to understand about her and her goals.
Our guest shares how she originally wanted to be a doctor, but had an epiphany and ended up pursuing psychology and philosophy instead. We discuss how Erasmus played a role in her admissions process and how she's very happy studying psychology. We explore how different her experience would have been if she had just pursued one degree, and how opinions on people studying economics differ.

Hey there, I'm Marcelo, and in this episode, I share my experience returning to my home country of Peru after being away for six years.
I'll take you through the highs and lows, from spending time with family and friends to dealing with safety concerns and political situations. I also reflect on the personal struggles I faced, including my parents' initial disapproval of my return and a family feud.
But it wasn't all negative. I rediscovered my love for Peruvian food and spent quality time with my friends. Through this journey, I came to realize that while Peru will always be my country of origin, it's no longer my home.

Sai Rithvik is a data scientist with a wealth of experience in the field. With a Master's degree in Business Information Management from the Rotterdam School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Erasmus School of Economics, he has a strong background in computer science and statistics. He has worked in companies like Uber and Avery Dennison, and he currently works as a business analyst at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
