The How Church Works podcast is an endeavor to become holy through the act of conversation and sharing words. Through discussion we will explore the identity and function of the church in the new covenant, various testimonies of our own, and aiming to have a free examination of many questions presented in life, in real time in front of the mic.
These verses from the 28th chapter of Genesis is the fulcrum of all scripture. We talk about the significance of what was beheld in Jacob's dream, what this "staircase" he was shown actually might have been, its parallels to Messiah, and the foundational elements of what it means to bear the image of Yahweh, represented through this dream.
John 3:16 is but one verse out of the over thirty thousand verses in scripture that many people use to identify their Christian beliefs. But what did Yeshua mean when he said "...just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, thus it is necessary that the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life." ? John seemed to have gained some idea. We're going to jump in, too.
