006: The Day MY Upline LIED...

Hey, what's up fam? This is quest and welcome to the show. Alright folks, listen, if you have been an entrepreneur or have been in this path for any amount of time, you would have ran into the name of Robert Kiyosaki. Now, Robert Kiyosaki is an author, Guru person in real estate. He's a financier of sorts, a consultant. He's inside of the influencer space right now. He has a lot of things going on. He's definitely somebody that you want to Google if you don't know the name of it. In fact, in the 90s, he penned a book called Rich Dad Poor Dad and Rich Dad, Poor Dad was basically where he drew Stark lines between his biological father and his by his his godfather, and relations to their mindsets and things of that nature that are aiming them towards success as an entrepreneur, right towards wealth and how to how to manage that, right. And while his journey was, you know, drawn out many of us are in a scenario similar, right, where we fall on one side of the fence or the other. Now, I'm not going to talk too much about that. But one thing that I do want to share is that, that book dominoes into a few other books that he had a series, right and inside of the series that he created, that was a book called The business of the 21st century. And in that business of the 21st century book, he goes on to talk about network marketing. I'm going to kind of highlight one of the quotes that he put inside of the book that I saw that were relevant to our conversation today. He says, in network marketing, the whole point is not to sell a product, but to build a network, an army of people who are all representing the same product or service to share with others. Now, I want you to highlight and underline something he says in network marketing. The whole point is not to sell a product. But to build a network an army, I wanted to finding out why one would say something like that closer towards my first episode would be instead now I want to understand exactly, why is he saying that the money isn't in product sales. And something that I've found is that when you think about compound interest, right, in the compounding methods of effort that people make and build on top of themselves to snowball into commission that happens to be for you know, enough to share with everyone. Right? It helps me realize that if I sell a product, I'm getting one commission. But if I have other people working to accomplish something that I can continue to get paid from residually, then I'm in more of an, you know, an advantaged place. Because now I can share my time, right? Because time is money, I can share my time and efforts that I have on other tasks, while other people are going to get recruited, sell product, and I still get a piece of that. So it's like, Man, if I was to build more people to do the same thing that I'm doing, they could be selling and bring in revenue for me while I am not working this particular business. Interesting. However, on the flip side of that, if I sell a product, or service or whatever it is that my MLM is, has, I sell it one time. And that's it. Interesting. Another thing that I kind of found was that out of the gate, whenever you start with your MLM, you don't own much. Right? So you come in with a title, right?

I felt like it was a foreign idea that, you know, things weren't working for everybody, but geez, guys, it's so many of you who are struggling inside of this area. So listen, if you are having a problem with product sales, and you really just don't understand exactly how to push more product, don't worry, I got you this is we're gonna get into it, right. So if you are a person who is interested in growing your business and want to do more recruitment, sales, you know, you want to bring more people on train them and have them build their business to ice, this is something that's duplicatable, this isn't something that's just, you know, for one particular individual, this is a move that the industry can hold, quite frankly, again, I don't understand why it hasn't been shared, listen, eat, if you are a top MLM right now, and you haven't, like shared this information, but you got to be ashamed of yourself, right? You, you got a lot of people, right, that are coming onto the business losing out, because they don't know this kind of stuff. So either your team leader, you know, knows and not sharing, if they you know, no one not sharing, that's crazy. If they are in a situation where they know, and you know, you haven't been able to sit down with them, and they, you know, setting this information to the side and want to charge you for it. Again, that'd be a shame yourself, man, if you were in a situation where your top leader or, or you know, you're under somebody that is, you know, needing this information, because they don't know really where to go, and you're not taking the time out to help them grow in this particular way. And that's nuts, guys, I'm not gonna leave you hanging like that, I'm gonna show you some information that we as a team have been using for a while now. In fact, I first found out about this about five years ago, and it's just such a simple tweak that I incorporated right into the business. And although there have been some changes, you know, I mean, it's been refined or honed, I didn't really understand exactly how to duplicate it, right until the last couple years. And so the fact of it is, I didn't really understand what I was using. So I didn't feel like it was something that was special. But man, oh, man, things have shown themselves to be a little different. So here's the deal, it's no different than if you are a, you know, an iPhone or Android user, right? And your phone is telling you, hey, we need to do updates, guys, when your phone is glitching. It's moving slow. It's you know, shut down apps is not supposed to be shutting out freezing, something like that, guys, if you update it, all of a sudden, all these problems go away. It's like a short piece of code that gets installed into your phone, right from the developers. And next thing, you know, your phone is operating just fine. Again, it goes it's same thing with your PC, your Mac, you got to update your systems in order for you to stay productive because of the changes that are happening on the internet, right? It's no different than that. Right? the MLM industry needs an update, right? You need an update for you to operate inside of your network marketing business and get the success that you're looking for.

So the old way, the new way of network marketing are drastically different, a lot of us are really just kind of caught up in the old way right now and don't even know it. Now, this is what proves to be so ineffective. Right? Whenever you are in the business. Now, something that I really want you to understand here is that this business model dates back to the 30s and 40s, the industrial age, their pre war area of the light of the world period, like it's just, it was created to work with the people that were still on the ground, that did not have to go out to war. This is a company that was created in the supplement business. And they needed to continue to sell customers. So how did they go about doing it, everybody who was stateside, who was still here, we're basically encouraged to say, Hey, listen, I know you guys need money, what we're going to do right now is, you know, let give you a piece of the pie, if you are able to bring a customer to us. Right, so these guerilla style, marketing techniques were created back then, out of hardship, and it put people in a place where, listen, we're gonna start out with the fundamentals here. Let's go with the basics, let's start out with the people that you know, right, and if they're interested, great. So the bigger your network, the more people that you're gonna get, you know, to in front of, and the more people are going to want to buy from you. So it pays at this point to have a lot of friends, or to be a busy body and inside of your network, be recognized inside of your network of people that you know, it also pays for people to have a relationship with you, and be close to you and trust you. Okay, it makes it easier on the sale. But what happens when you run out of people, what happens when you stop being, you know, able to talk to the people about something new.

Welcome to the show. Alright, so by now you already know about the old way to do your Network Marketing. Today, we're gonna go over the new way that top MLM earners are using right now to drive business to their opportunity to not be spammy, to not you know, break rules or do all kinds of gray market things. Okay. And as you can probably guess, inside of this new way to new, you know, new way to do MLM, we're going to be heavily leaning on autophagy, you know, artificial intelligence, and automation. But that does not mean that you have to be super techy, it just doesn't.

Okay, where you are weak in or intimidated, and we have people that can easily step in and handle the weight for you. Okay, meaning, do the things that you don't know how to do. Listen, I read an article once that Mark Zuckerberg, right, said that he doesn't do anything that he's not good at. So if it's something that he's not good at, he's, he's gonna outsource it, hire it out, it makes no sense Time is money. It makes no sense for you to fund a with, you know, things that you're just super complicated about. And when you can easily hire somebody to that that is directed and understands how to work inside of that particular platform, or do that particular task. All right.

👑 Episode 1: My MLM Failure...(Origin Story)

Hey, what's up great listeners, this is quest. Thanks for checking out this episode. So we got a couple of different directions that we can kind of go in. However, on this episode, I'm gonna stick to the basics, we're gonna go back to the origin of how I was introduced to network marketing, and how cool it was, you know, it's a bit of a sentimental story. However, it does serve as inspiration to me, I go back and I listen to it often, just to kind of help me remember where things were in the beginning. And, you know, to just kind of trail this journey has been a bit of a, you know, an up and down emotional roller coaster trying to figure out all of the ins and outs, and we're still learning. So it's not like it's an end all be all or that I have every single thing figured out. We're growing. I mean, and sometimes you run into growing pains, I'm sure you understand that. So listen, roughly about 12 years ago, I was introduced to network marketing as an actual business opportunity. And, you know, if I go back further than that, you know, my aunt was in network marketing with Avon and Mary Kay back in the day, and she was aggressive. I mean, made her way all the way up to the the pink Cadillac. I mean, I remember she kept it cleaned all the time. So definitely remember that. I also remember in grade school back in the 90s how I was working for a company called vector marketing. Cutco and Cutco was a was like a cutlery brand that looks like they put themselves wrapped in a network marketing, business model or mlm business model. And I don't really count that, you know, as my first start off, because one, it was kind of blind, I didn't really know exactly what it was. And I didn't take it serious. It was just some side money for me as a kid man in grade school.
