Tender Grace Podcast: Recent Episodes

Wanda Diaz-Ramos

Hello and welcome to Tender Grace Podcast. A faith based podcast where we have open and candid conversations about our struggles and sometimes epic failures in our Christian Walk, and how God’s Grace meets us where we’re at and equips us with His truth to overcome our personal and spiritual shortcomings when life doesn’t go as planned. We are imperfect people living in a broken world and when life gets hard we may not sense God is with us, but He is there. My prayer for this podcast is that you are encouraged to trust the process of spiritual development and growth. A Christian Life is not suppose to be a stagnant life, but a life that is continuously growing in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord. Because when we obey and follow Jesus, we have the assurance and the promise that He will never leave us or abandon us and will guide us into all Truth even when life gets messy. I hope that regardless of your age, background, years in Lord, or season of life that you walk away from each episode with spiritual “nuggets” that will help encourage and uplift you as you “do life” with the Jesus.

In today's episode, we're doing a deep dive into a topic that's a common concern for many Christians: discovering God’s will. Have you ever felt unsure of where to start or perhaps have felt lost despite trying? Well, you're not alone. Join me as we unpack some biblical principles for asking, understanding, and doing.

In this study on Philemon, we dive into the topic of forgiveness.

Quick Note: Even though the Bible doesn't explicitly say that Onesimus stole from Philemon, the widely accepted belief is that he did, which is why he ran away.

Welcome to the Bible Prep for the "book" of Philemon.

Where you receive background information and context on the book we'll be reading, so that you have a better understanding of what you are reading and why.

The book of Philemon is found in the New Testament.

Fun Fact - It's commonly referred to as a book, but it’s actually a personal letter (an epistle) written by the Apostle Paul to his friend Philemon.

Hi friend, I'm so excited to be introducing a new segment on the Tender Grace Podcast called Reading God's Word Together. These are small bible study segments meant for helping you read and get into God's Word more deeply. As Christians, it's important that we read God's word, study it, learn it, and then apply what we've learned.  It's easy to get spiritually "lazy" and wait to read it only when we go to church, so don't be that girl or guy.

We should read and study it because it's the manual to holy and righteous living.  The Bible reveals God's character and his commands for life. And when we become born-again, the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of us to help us and teaches us how to live out all of God's commands. My prayer is that these segments create in you an appetite to really dive deep in His Word more frequently.

For now, these segments will be released on the first of every month, but the goal is to release them weekly. So, stay tuned.

Thank you all for listening, for subscribing, for sharing, and for your support. It encourages me more than you will ever know.  Be blessed.

This is the final episode in the series Feeling Unqualified When God Calls You.

Ministry is not always easy. It is full of hills and valleys. Times of great success, but also times of struggle, testing, and temptation.

The enemy will try and tempt you in any way he can to take you off course. While there are many temptations that we can struggle with, I want to focus on the one that shows up very early on and can begin to damage your call very quickly and that is Comparison. It's a secret sin many people struggle with, but may never admit to having.

In today’s episode I’ll be talking about a very common struggle many Christians face and that is feeling unqualified to do what God has called you to do. You don't have to stay stuck in your insecurities. I'll share three things that you can do right now to help you take that first step in obeying God despite wrestling with your confidence.

If you want to grow into the man or woman God is calling you to be, stepping out of your comfortable space is a necessary step in your journey.

Be willing to put yourself out there even if you think you might fail. You can only overcome these feelings when you take your eyes off yourself and look to Jesus, the one who will be leading you.

How man defines and uses Grace is not akin to how God defines and uses it in His Word towards human beings, which is precisely why grace is commonly misunderstood or taken advantage of.

The grace that man gives is conditional, unpredictable, and selective. God's grace is the reason that everyone—both Christians and non-Christians are able to receive the blessing of life, and why a depraved world enjoys so much favor and kindness at the hands of a holy God.  It's a gift that He gives freely and without merit so that no one, no matter who you are can lay claim to it because of something that he or she has done. Grace is available to everyone, its a beautiful truth that God gives to us.
