"Nothing" is one of the newcomers in the audio world, especially TWS. Their first product is named Nothing Ear (1), and this is their first product, so it is given the code number 1 in its TWS name, and maybe The following product will be coded or named with the number 2.

Nothing Ear (1) pay attention to this. Its ear-fitting shape makes it so comfortable to use that I almost always get a warning notification saying that I have been using the device for a long time, and it is recommended to me to rest my ears.

The design presented by Nothing Ear itself is unique because it carries a transparent concept so that you can see all parts of the TWS. But make no mistake, even though it uses transparent housing made of plastic, this TWS already supports IPX4 rating certification, so it is very safe when used while exercising. And the weight is only about 4.7 grams each. And the presence of pressure-relieving vents will certainly increase comfort when used. Furthermore, Nothing Ear (1) has two colour variants for the colour, namely black and white.

From the design, I like it. Even though the material is made of plastic but it is excellent. Furthermore, transparent housing makes it even more eye-catching when used. The charging case is also made transparent to add to the eye-catching impression, the drawback is that the charging case gets scratched quickly, so when you want to buy it, you should also think about looking for a charging case protector.

For the ear tips, I don't think there are any complaints. Although I use the default ear tips, Nothing Ear (1) is not half-hearted in trying to provide comfort to its users. The ear tips are made of silicone, like most ear tips in general, and the M size fits perfectly in my ears. Unfortunately, some other brands sometimes have an M size that is too small or too big, so I have to replace it with another ear tip.

Battery Life: 5 Hours of Listening

As I mentioned in the title, Nothing Ear (1) can last for 5 hours on a single charge, 34 hours with the charging case with ANC Off, and 24 hours when ANC is On. 5 hours of endurance is not just a title, of course, I have also tried this TWS to see if it can last 5 hours on a single charge, and of course, the answer is Yes. In about 1.5 hours, the remaining battery in each earbud is at 70% with the ANC ON condition. Every 1.5 hours, the battery is reduced by about 30% in total, then within 4.5 hours, the battery will be left by 10%. Of course, this is also influenced by the volume level used while listening to music. In this TWS test, the volume I used was not more than 70%.

Nothing Ear (1) also supports wireless charging, but I can't test it since I don't have wireless charging. I think charging from 0-100% on the charging case using a cable is pretty long, maybe around 2 hours. I hesitate to use a charger with fast charging capability because the Nothing Ear (1) specification doesn't say whether this TWS supports fast charging, so I'm looking for a safe way to use a standard charger to avoid damage.

Touch Control: Nothing Ear (1) Unique Way To Adjust Volume

"Nothing" clearly offers the ease of operation of the TWS that they make so that we can easily customize it according to our habits in operating the TWS. My favourite thing is the ease of adjusting the volume level. All you need to do is swipe up or down on one of the earphones. And, of course, the sensitivity level on the touch control is perfect. So even though it is blocked by hair (not in direct contact with the earphones), I can still change music or pause. And you can be setting the touch control directly in the Nothing Ear application. Standalone Apps: Have a Complete Features

Having a standalone app makes me like Nothing Ear (1) even more because it's only natural for wireless earphones to provide an app to make settings on their device. The application offered by Nothing is a place for all setting options, ranging from touch control settings, ANC, Equalizer, and of course, a place for updating TWS devices. In addition, we can find out the remaining battery capacity remaining in this application.

ANC: Beautiful Noise Canceling

The ANC feature is also one of the must-have features for TWS today, and Nothing Ear (1) is no exception. This TWS has a perfect ANC feature, in my opinion. We can set the ANC level on the application itself, namely Light and Maximum. The goal is to save battery.

In addition, to the ANC on/off feature, there is also a Transparency Mode, which is a mode that can be used when we are in a public place so that we can still hear ambient sounds from outside without the need to remove earphones.

When not using ANC, I think the noise cancellation feature of Nothing Ear (1) is outstanding because it can reduce noise from outside. This is also because the earphones themselves have ear tips that fit perfectly. So my advice to get the proper noise cancellation is to use ear tips that fit on ear holes so that sounds from outside can be well muffled.

When ANC is turned on, it can eliminate noise from outside to the maximum. For the record, I tried this ANC in a coffee shop that was quite busy, and as a result, the sounds coming from outside disappeared instantly. In addition, when I turned on the ANC, I didn't feel nausea or discomfort because of the loss of air pressure. I think this is also due to the pressure-relieving vents presented at TWS.

I don't feel a significant difference between ANC mode with light mode and maximum, so we can choose the ANC feature with light mode when we want to save battery. But I don't think it's necessary. I will use the maximum ability on the ANC because before the battery runs out, I think I'm bored enough to listen to songs for 5 hours non-stop.

Collaborating with a master audiophile certainly makes people expect a lot with Nothing Ear (1), and this is also why Nothing Ear (1) is a competitor to Apple Airpods Pro. Furthermore, Nothing Ear (1) had disappeared from the market because of the enthusiasm of audio enthusiasts who pre-ordered it, so the TWS was sold out without a trace. And finally, in 2022, I have this audio device, and of course, it has an official warranty because a distributor imported it to my country.

So is the sound quality that good? Yes, I liked the sound quality from Nothing Ear (1), and they didn't waste their time getting Teenage Engineering to work with them. I am an audio enthusiast with a warm type with punchy bass, and Nothing Ear (1) managed to make a sound with that type. Even though their slogan is more toward the audiophile, the sound of the bass is still felt.

As for the audiophile's voice, they usually feature a clean and clear voice so that all instruments can sound well and fit. Moreover, even vocals blend well with musical instruments. But don't get me wrong, even though Nothing Ear (1) is more advanced from the audiophile side, I can still enjoy the punchy bass boom from this TWS. They have an equalizer in their application that you can choose according to the sound criteria you like.

As you can see in the picture above, you can choose 4 settings in the equalizer section, namely balanced sound type, more treble, more bass, and finally, voice. Of course, as a bass lover, I would choose more bass, which made the bass sound more profound and punchy than before. However, the resulting bass sound is not excessive. On the contrary, the resulting bass is impeccable and organized without the slightest lack of power. And even though using the "more bass" equalizer, it doesn't sacrifice other instruments, so the sound it produces is very fitting and comfortable for listening to music with dance, RnB, EDM, and other genres.

I think there's no need to hesitate for those who like audiophiles or bass heads because Nothing Ear (1) is perfect for those of you who like that type of sound.

This brand is famous for its mobile communicator, music edition, and several feature phone variants with excellent durability. The slogan of this brand is "Connecting People." Of course, you can guess what brand this is? Yes, the name of this brand is Nokia.

We haven't heard of this brand in a long time. In the past, in the Symbian OS era, they were one of the kings of mobile phones, but because of their selfishness, they were reluctant to adopt Android OS and preferred Windows Phone OS. Finally, they began to be forgotten and left behind. Using the Windows Phone operating system alone could not boost their sales. Some of the Nokia E3511's superior features are battery life of up to 25 hours (with charging case), Bluetooth 5.2, IP44 (weatherproof), and ANC / Ambient Mode.

I think the sales package itself is almost the same as most TWS in general, namely the charging case and its earphones unit, charging cable with USB type-c, additional ear tips (Small and Large sizes), and manuals and warranty cards. You need to know that the sales package does not include spare ear tips with size M, so when ear tips of this size are lost, you can only replace them with ear tips but with a different size.

When I first held the charging case, my first impression was that it seemed premium and expensive. Because the charging case is made of metal, the downside is that this charging case feels quite heavy when you hold it. Even if you put it in your trouser pocket, I think it will feel quite heavy. As for the dimensions of the charging case, I think it's pretty standard, not too big and not too small, fits well, and isn't frail. There is a slot for plugging the charger cable in the charging case, and at the top, there is a small LED as an indicator of battery capacity. On the inside of the charging case, there is also a button to reset the TWS.

The earphones unit is made of plastic, and this is the part that I love because it slightly reduces the premium design of the charging case. This plastic material is made with a glossy black color, so it will leave fingerprints when you hold it. In addition, this shiny plastic material is also straightforward to get scratched. Although another advantage is that the earphones unit is very light when used. During this unit, I felt very comfortable. I didn't feel pain in my ears when listening to songs for about 2 hours non-stop, with a note that I used ear tips of the right size on my ears. I have also tried the Large size ear tips, and they only lasted about 30 minutes, and my ear area started to feel tired and sore (because the L size ear tips are too big for my ears)

For sound quality, like the slogan on the box, "listen to every detail," I can say that this TWS is not intended for you bass lovers. I think the sound quality produced by the Nokia E3511 is still very standard. I had higher expectations, considering that in the past, Nokia was also famous for their range of Music Edition mobile phones, such as the Nokia N73 ME. In the Nokia N73 ME sales package, there were earphones with stunning sound quality.

Regarding the slogan itself, which carries "listen to every detail," I think it is still too far to hear the details of sharing music genres. For example, when I try to listen to music in the rock genre with this TWS, the points still feel very far away. Even the guitar distortion sound still sounds rough and seems like there is disturbing noise.

But, at that time, I was listening to music using a video-sharing service. And it turns out that this is a very plot twist. Now I will say this TWS is very worth buying. Why? Now I will discuss when using the previous platform to listen to music. Did you know that the music quality from this service can be said to be the lowest? THERE IS NOISE when I listen to music on that platform, and some guitar distortion is rough. And when I use one of the online streaming services that provide the highest music quality, namely at 4068kbps for Master Quality and 1411kbps for HiFi Quality with a bit rate at 24-bit/96kHz but do go up to 24-bit/192kHz, what happens is, this TWS can display the details of the music that I listened. The noise heard before is suddenly gone and replaced by the details of the various musical instruments composing the song. Some of the songs that I tried to listen to, ranging from rock, pop, and dance to acoustic genres, feel right to listen to no part that stands out. Now we move on to the ANC/Ambient Mode feature of the Nokia E3511. ANC from Nokia E3511 is beneficial in reducing noise from outside, I tested this ANC when I watched TV at an average volume, and the ANC works well to handle noise from tv. When I turn off ANC, the TV's sound is almost inaudible, only a little faint, and I think this is also because the design of this TWS fits the ear and is very comfortable to use for a long time. The ambient mode itself is pretty helpful when we want to hear the sounds around us or want to chat with other people without the need to remove the earphones we are using.

The battery life itself is pretty durable. In doing an audio review, I listened to music for almost 3 hours non-stop with ANC on, and the battery indicator still looks full.

The Bluetooth range is also good, and there is no sound cut off when listening to music when the device is placed far enough from the earphones. If this TWS connected to the computer, it doesn't have any problem with the connection, so I think you can use it with your smartphone and computer. Also, there is no delay if you use this TWS for watching a movie.

The touch control itself is pretty sensitive, and it's just that the location is a bit different from some TWS I've tried. Other functions are almost the same as some other TWS.

In conclusion, the Nokia E3511 is worth buying as an alternative to TWS with ANC. Nokia provides a reasonably low price for this TWS, and I bought it for only around $55. The sound quality is not inferior to other TWS in the same price range.

The drawback of this TWS, in my personal opinion, is the glossy plastic material used in the unit, and maybe the plastic material doesn't matter if it is combined with matte black. So it does not leave finger marks when used. The Recipe Now, I want to share the recipe for cooking prawns bitter bean with spicy sauce. This is a dish that I often cook at home, as a man born in a family with a small restaurant taught me to be able to cook even if it's only for myself. Hello everyone, I am a new member of the Geek Zone community, and I think this is the right place for me to share gadgets, especially gadgets related to audio. You need to know that I am not an audio expert, but I like listening to music, so I like to try several devices related to it. All ratings from reviews are usually entirely subjective, so I think the rating of each individual will be very different. However, I will undoubtedly give a reasonably neutral assessment without favoring a particular brand, and what you need to know is that I am not an audiophile. I am a "Basshead" oriented.

As you can see in the video, the completeness of the Moondrop Nekocake unit consists of a pair of earbuds, a charging case, a USB c charging cable, spare ear tips, and a manual book along with a warranty card. At first glance, from the packaging itself, there is nothing special about these earbuds. The packaging and contents themselves are very ordinary, like most earbuds. I bought it for around $60 on a local marketplace alone. So what made me purchase these earbuds? The answer is ANC, aka Active Noice Cancellation. Yes, it's tough to find earbuds priced at $60 that already have this feature. Usually, earbuds with ANC have priced at around $100. So the question is whether the quality of ANC for earbuds under $100 is good enough? Before answering this question, I will review the audio quality first.

Moondrop is a brand that is quite well known for its IEM products, some variants of their IEM have pretty high prices and, of course, compete with other well-known brands. One of their high-end series is Moondrop illumination at around $1000. But obviously, I will not discuss that product because the price is high, and this is only a cursory introduction to the Moondrop product for those of you who don't know.

Moondrop Nekocake is a true wireless low-budget variant of Moondrop, but it has with ANC, so how is the sound quality produced from these earbuds? Overall, I can say that these earbuds have an excellent neutral character, slightly leaning towards warm but not too firm so that you won't get round bass booming sounds.

I think it's pretty appropriate for vocals and treble because they don't try to compete to highlight one of them, followed by bass that doesn't try to cover up the two characters. I think it's pretty comfortable even listening to music from various genres. Still, nothing special because, like I said the first time, the sound character is neutral, so it's suitable for all genres of music.

Although Moondrop Nekocake has a neutral sound character, these earbuds have an equalizer application that you can install on your smartphone, Android, or iOS. We can choose the equalizer (unfortunately, we can't configure it manually). For details, you can see the image below:

I suggest using the "X' Dynamic" equalizer because I think that's the only one that suits my taste. Using the equalizer can make the initially neutral sound feel warmer with a significant increase in bass, but I still don't expect more because, for round bass like EDM music, I think I still haven't got it.

My advice is that these earbuds are suitable for listening to music in the pop, rock, and maybe some jazz genres.

As for the battery life, I think the use with ANC is about 2-4 hours in 1 charge, which also depends on the volume level. The charging case can charge 3-4 times in regular use. It takes quite a long time to be complete for a battery to full in the charging case, maybe about 2 hours. Don't use fast charging to charge the charging case for the record because the charging case doesn't support this feature.

Another drawback of this Moondrop Nekocake is the absence of an IP Rating, namely a rating for water resistance, sweat resistance, and dust resistance. So these earbuds are not for use during sports. In addition, the connection to the computer can sometimes get disconnected, so it is necessary to reconnect. In the end, I never used these earbuds to connect to a computer.

The advantages of these earbuds are that they already have ANC and have their application for equalizer settings. Also, touch control is sensitive too and can be adjusted. Build quality for $ 60 is also quite good. Although the material is made from plastic, it is still quite solid. These earbuds are pretty comfortable for use in a long time, and my ears experience no fatigue.

As I said at the beginning of the review, I bought these earbuds because they already have ANC. For the ANC itself, there's nothing special, and I said it's just enough for the price of $60. However, it is still sufficient to reduce ambient noise, which is not too severe. For example, the familiar voice of people chatting is not heard when ANC is activated. For a sound that is quite noisy, like music in the gym, I can still hear it faintly.

So, in conclusion, Moondrop Nekocake is worth buying for people who want to have TWS earbuds at a reasonably affordable price equipped with ANC and a neutral sound character.

To get to this location, we have to use a ship, and it takes about 3 hours from where we dock. The cost of renting the boat itself is around $700, and the price is different for foreign tourists.
