Carrie Kaczmarek Bland started her career as a Certified Professional Nanny over a decade ago by attending the former English Nanny and Governess School. Some of her passions include sharing about the importance of water safety and survival skills, mentoring the next generation of nannies, and building the in-person community where she’s located in Indianapolis by planning and hosting nanny events like playdates and the annual iNNTD. Liz Carroll is a life-long student and teacher of making mindful money moves. Originally believing she was "bad with money," Liz did the hard work to rewrite her money story. She needed to drop limiting beliefs about how a woman can earn and manage money to set herself up for financial success in a way she would commit to and follow. It worked. Liz attained financial independence and retired early from her corporate IT sales career. Now, in her encore career, Liz helps other women experience calm confidence with their finances by unpacking and shifting their own money story. She has the unique ability to shed light onto darkness around money, making complex personal finance issues simple. She created the Mindful Money Method, a financial wellness course and coaching program that utilizes a holistic approach to math, mindset and soul-guided desires. I first began the Peaceful Learning voyage about eight years ago. I thought of the idea of a nanny agency that provides high-quality, respectful, gentle candidates and a place for parents to receive help and guidance on their parenting journey when I was living in New Zealand. However, a lack of knowledge about the need worldwide, small demand in New Zealand, and careers in teaching and nannying taking me elsewhere meant that Peaceful Learning took a backseat. Four years on, after a career change and relocating to London, it became very evident that what I have to offer was needed. Being a nanny and teacher myself who uses the RIE® principles and Magda Gerber's Educaring® Approach that was introduced to me as a student teacher at The Learning Centre in New Zealand, I felt the frustration and longing to find the right family after joining countless nanny agencies. I had been approached by many families and nannies wanting and using respectful childcare looking to connect who understand what positive guidance means, who believe in child-led learning and that the best way to shape children is through role-modeling and so I thought, why not? How hard can it be to create an agency? (It was quite a rollercoaster!) And now we are here, experienced and ready to share the knowledge I have gained over the years, to help families like you, connect with the right nanny and get the helping hand to guide you on your parenting journey. I feel it is really important to provide the best care for your child. This means nurturing every aspect of their development; the most important and underlooked, especially in the early years, is the emotional regulation and development of a child. Only when a child feels safe and nurtured can they really begin a sustained level of play that can propel them forward. Being a nanny and teacher myself who used respectful care to connect, positive guidance and role-modeling to lead the child to succeed, and child-led learning to sustain intrinsic motivation to learn I can honestly say it really works! It gives me goosebumps to think about the success stories I have witnessed over the years. My mission is to help 10,000 families over the next five years to grow authentic, loving relationships and a passion for living freely and curiously. I truly believe in what Peaceful Learning is about and so do all my team members. For 35 years, I have developed resources and delivered programs that are preventative measures to combat child sexual abuse through my company Safe4Kids. Since 2010, around 4,500 children, 1,000 teachers and educators, and 1,000 parents have received my training annually. She has empowered children throughout the world and equipped parents and educators with the tools to help prevent child abuse, whether this abuse is through physical harm, cyberbullying, or inappropriate content available on the Internet. She has provided training in 84 remote Aboriginal communities around Australia and 40 childcare centers.

Kellie has worked with her current family for over 19 years, first as the children’s nanny then transitioning to full household management, and oversees a busy household of working parents, adult children, and the most spoiled dog, Riley. She remains active in the industry, assuming several roles, including APNA Administrative Assistant, overseeing the day-to-day office operations and conference coordination, national co-chair for National Nanny Recognition Week (NNRW), and co-creator along with Sue Downey of Our Nanny Diary, offering digital downloads and printed, bound diaries for nannies and parents. In addition, she is a co-founder of the nanny industry blog Regarding Nannies. Kellie also works with nanny organizations and agencies, providing small business and social media services. Kellie was named the 1997 International Nanny Association Nanny of the Year, the 2014 Domestic Estate Management Association Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, and the 2020 INA Meritorious Award Recipient. Kellie has presented at several industry events, including Nannypalooza, INA, All-Star Nanny Conference, and International Nanny Training Day and has been interviewed for television, print and radio. Today we are talking to Meg Faure about how Neuroscience impacts Childcare. Meg is an Occupational Therapist (OT) with a passion for the care, development, and education of babies and young children. Knowing that parenting is the toughest calling of all and that the early years massively impact life, Meg has made it her life's work to touch the lives of parents and their young children. As a mum to three children, Meg found that her passion was to take neuroscience and research and make it practical and accessible to impact the human journey in the formative years. Meg provides support through her books, parenting applications, and courses from pregnancy and early childhood. Through to early years education through the Play Sense programme. Meg has worked in various clinical settings, including a pediatric rehab facility in New York, private practice, and a school for children with special needs. As a journalist, speaker, and author in child psychology, parenting, and child development, she has written eight parenting titles, including the bestseller Baby Sense. As an entrepreneur, Meg founded the product company Baby Sense and, in 2020, launched her parenting mobile application, Parent Sense – covering all aspects of development, feeding, sleep, and health with daily bespoke routines for 0-12 months old.

Rachel is passionate about the nanny industry, and her work shows it. From attending and speaking at industry conferences put on by iNNTD, Nannypalooza, INA, APNA, and USNA, to speaking with smaller groups via webinars, her focus is always on education and improvement. Rachel believes that when we know better, we tend to do better, so knowledge is the natural first step to change. She focuses on educating household employers and employees, about why legal pay and adhering to labor laws is so important. She also works to encourage the industry as a whole to strive for higher industry standards.
Rachel’s passion and knowledge come from a solid 15-year foundation in the industry, in a variety of roles. Her career began as a nanny, later moving on to work for local and national placement agencies own a boutique nanny agency, and work as the Operations Manager for the International Nanny Association, all before joining the HomeWork Solutions team in 2019. As a working mom with three children, she has also been a nanny employer.
She is also involved in the non-profit side of the industry, serving as the treasurer and board of directors member of the INA. She is also the founder of FairAndLegalPay.com, a coalition designed to raise awareness about the need for legal pay in the industry.
Her diversified work within the industry allows her to see things through a multifaceted lens, giving her a unique vantage point to consider all parties involved when addressing industry topics.
