Summer in the Psalms: Recent Episodes

The Psalms are filled with the whole range of the human experience in dealing with the almighty God. Jesus quoted Psalm 22 in His final moments on the cross, which means He had memorized and internalized them. If Jesus so intimately used the Psalms in His own prayer life, we must challenge ourselves to do the same. The Word of God is seed that gets planted and then grows from the inside out. When we read the Psalms, they should take root in our own hearts and connect to our experiences so that what grows out of us is a worship and prayer life that glorifies God.
