Welcome to part two of the democracy dilemma with American political philosopher Jonathan Anomaly.

In part one we discussed Book 8 of Plato’s republic in which the Greek philosopher Plato argued that Athenian democracy was a sham. A total disaster.

He says democracy is anarchy mistaken as freedom

Plato believed that this freedom leads to chaos, and the state degenerates into mob rule; this leads to the emergence of a tyrant.

In this episode we’ll examine similarities between Plato’s observations and our democratic world today. Including how a society hell-bent on unfettered freedom has delivered us gender ideology, health mandates, and a slew of politically correct woke decrees, which seek to stymie democratic principles, rather than advance them.

We’ll also ask the question: are we really living under democracy? Or has a new tyrant emerged in the form of global technocratic dictatorship?

US author Gretchen Wollert joins me to talk about her book Lincoln and Trump: Born to Fight.

"Abraham Lincoln and Donald Trump are two of a kind despite terms in office separated by 150-plus years. Both encountered a biased press and deeply divisive political environments after being elected with less than 50 percent of the popular vote.

Each was viewed as an ill-equipped outlier and accompanied to office by first ladies ostracized by Washington's elite. Lincoln was known by those closest to him for his supreme self-confidence, inexhaustible ambition, mean streak, braggadocio, arrogance, vanity, and knack for thriving amid conflict.

Ditto Trump. Born to Fight shows that Trump is better understood through the many parallels linking him to Lincoln."

The Transition Integrity Project (TIP) is a deeply partisan political lobbyist group, which launched in 2019 “out of concern that the Trump Administration may seek to manipulate, ignore, undermine or disrupt the 2020 presidential election and transition process”.

Key players include John Podesta, Donna Brazile, Trey Grayson, and Jennifer Granholm.

The document was given to major tv networks and newspapers to instruct journalists on the language to use when, as they predicted, the Trump Administration contests the 2020 election.

The following excerpt is taken from the alleged bipartisan TIP document:

“TIP takes no position on how Americans should cast their votes, or on the likely winner of the upcoming election; either major party candidate could prevail at the polls in November without resorting to “dirty tricks.”

“However, the administration of President Donald Trump has steadily undermined core norms of democracy and the rule of law and embraced numerous corrupt and authoritarian practices.”

The question is, should the US President, The US Secretary of State, The Republican Senate Majority Leader and their constituents have the right to present what they believe is substantial physical evidence of voter fraud?
