In the last episode of this series of Preston Calling, Shane and Chris from Derelict chat to Art of the City member Susie Jones, who is a singer-songwriter from our very own Preston Lancashire. Susie talked about her latest album and her hopes for the future of the music scene in the city. Plus we caught up with one of our very first connections Tara Taylor, a multimedia artist, playwright and hair stylist from Preston Nova Scotia in Canada. Tara told us about her Preston from the ground up and how she has been inspired creatively by her surroundings there.

We got half way through our original Episode 3 when Preston and the rest of the UK went into full Covid lockdown. Given that we weren’t able to get together and record, Phil thought it was about time to check in remotely with his long-standing collaborator Chris, who has also been busy connecting with more Prestons around the globe. Shane also gives us an update on how Preston Lancashire is doing and we think about how to move the project forward as the city takes its first tentative steps out of lockdown…
