What's up Diamonds,
I just love doing interviews with comedians because they are funny, they make an interview go by faster because you are entertained the whole time. That is how I felt with Comedian Michael Statham who seems to do a show at least two times a week. If you have not been to one of his shows check him out, look him up in Google and try to go to one when you’re in his neck of the woods. He is always hosting with several other comedians which I am sure contributes to his shows being a blast. I have had quite a few interviews with this young lady Miss. Monique who was the owner of Miniature Me Academy. I would contract for them as a videographer I would go on trips with her and what I liked to call her rainbow tribe. Miniature Me Academy is closed temporarily from what I know. But I do miss those times with Miss. Monique and her rainbow tribe. Children can be so therapeutic as well as stressful at times. I may not be posting my interviews with producer filmmaker Julian J Burton in the proper order but there is nothing unproper about his movies or series. He produced a series called the “Bermuda City” series which was serious. I used to keep up with them, but I do not as much anymore, I try to congratulate or share it via SM when I hear he has a new episode out. He has made quite a few episodes of the Bermuda City series. I still have a copy of his of his movie Dormant which I think he has revised since my copy; someone won the other copy in a contest I had put out during that time. I know he is still making movies and he is a super guy to have an interview with. This interview was my second interview and my first one is floating around here somewhere when I get it, I will post it. Remember earlier when I told you how I had to come up with content to fill the show and sometimes I would talk about social media brand building tips. Well, this episode is all about brand building these were things that worked for me in the past that I was sharing with my audience. Some of the information may be a bit dated because technology changes every day so do social media trends and subjects. I hope you do get something out of it or learn something maybe you did not know. Race is always a subject worth talking about, or is it? We figured we would talk about it being that I am an African American woman and Brian T Shirley being white male, I knew eventually this subject was bound to come up. Race issues are always going on and I am at the point where I feel they will always be going on, although these days it seems multiple races are in this struggle too. I don't know what's going to happen in the future between the haves and the have nots or the whites versus minorities but I know racism is real and it exists heavily in the US.I hope you enjoy my recordings #Diamonds if you have any questions or comments I would love to hear them email me at ljdnetwork@gmail.com, or visit me online at LJDNRadio 24/7 Indie and commercial music streaming or find out what I am up to next on LJDNetwork.com. I have met so many interesting entrepreneurs along the way during my 6 to 7 years as a podcaster “Heaven Sent” made customize greeting cards. We talked about how they got started in their business everyone needs a good greeting card from time to time. I am not sure if the business is still open, but I ran into one of the partners on Alignment who is a counselor I thought that was interesting but as it turns out she's always done it on the side, and I think I do talk about it some on this episode listening to find out more. One of the things I remember the most about my interview with RJ Comer was his smooth, deep southern voice. He spoke so well as a country boy I would think that he was raised in the country during, the interview I found out that RJ Comer was a city boy gone country. Lol, he loved the country so much that he moved out there and a big, huge house on a big, huge lot and there he may summer the best country music. He has been on hiatus for a while, but I am sure he will be back with more good country songs. I don't quite remember whether it was 2015 or 2016 that I created #CoffeeTalk, I do remember I created the #Coffee #Talk series during the winter because it was cold outside. I loved curling up with a cup of tea or hot chocolate and recording the show because it felt like I was talking to friends, like with most good friends you can sit and talk about anything and everything. It was the #CoffeeTalk subjects that I truly loved to talk about, sometimes it would have been nice to have someone with me, and at times it would feel like the mic wasn't even on... I guess you would call that flowing....lol Anyways I hope you enjoy my recordings #Diamonds if you have any questions or comments I would love to hear them email me at ljdnetwork@gmail.com, or visit me online at LJDNRadio 24/7 Indie and commercial music streaming or find out what I am up to next on LJDNetwork.com. Finding content was not always easy when I started out in 2016, sometimes I did not know what the heck I would talk about and had to wing it, I'm sure some of you understand that. During those times when I did not have the content, I needed it I leaned on music to fill the gap and talked about subjects that I felt was interesting and knowledgeable to others. One of my favorite goto for content was social media brand building, so I would always talk about brand building tips that I would find throughout the Internet. I was good at researching stuff like that on the Internet. In 2016 I produced a show called the Lina in Brian Hour my co-host was Comedian Brian T Shirley you may have seen some of his post throughout social media. Brian is well on his way to becoming and up and rising acting star, I would not be surprised if I see him on an upcoming comedy movie. Our show lasted for a year and he was great at getting guest for interviews, Brian was a good sport about everything even connection during connection issues, so you will see episodes of The Lina and Brian Hour throughout this podcast channel. I remember when Brian and I did an episode on Christmas that was so funny I was in tears during for most of the show. Thank you, Brian Shirley, for the laughs I hope we have more in the coming future. It's all about the #DiamondAwards, the 2019 #LJDiamond Award winners Steve Hester, Jimmy Packes, Michael Brondstetter, David Moscato, and Vic Rector. This episode was the announcement of the 2019 Diamond Awards Winners. I Cohosted the show with “In the Cut with Jay” Host Jay, we were live on BTR and experienced a lot of connection issues so this one may be a little bumpy but and the show must go on. After 2019 the awards show took a break there was no wards for a year, but we came back with a vengeance and 2020 with the best voting scores the previous years. This is another two-hour episode of course you remember if the date says 2014 or 2015 it is usually a 2-hour show. This show is interviewed Jimmy Packes and Laird Oli, I was interviewing two guests at a time to make up the space in my 2 hour show although in the beginning it was hard to get guests to stay for 30 minutes of talking, usually they're could only stay around 15 minutes. That was my first time speaking with Jimmy Packes and during our conversation I noticed how down to earth and straight forward he was (a New Yorker at heart) Jimmy has done a lot in his career and should be up there with Aerosmith and those rock stars because he is truly a rock star. We still remain SM friends today and share each other post on social media. However, Laird Oli has moved to Africa, Yep, he is in the motherland enjoying his life and living his best life I wish him all the best. Every so often he'll put out a post and I get to see how that gorgeous chocolate man is doing either way I hope you enjoy my recordings #Diamonds if you have any questions or comments I would love to hear them email me at ljdnetwork@gmail.com, or visit me online at LJDNRadio 24/7 Indie and commercial music streaming or find out what I am up to next on LJDNetwork.com. This episode is about my interview with independent country artist Cosmic Crash, those of you who are familiar with the LJDNShow know that Cosmic was one of the first #DiamondNetwork award winners him and Mike Aloia. Cosmic AKA Danny Myers it's one of the sweetest people that I have ever met, he is Canadian, he has a kind heart and a good spirit. He was one of my first diamonds along with others like Steve Hester, Jimmy packets, Michael Brondstetter and a few more that I may be forgetting. He skyped in from Canada and we just had a good time so I hope you enjoy my recordings #Diamonds if you have any questions or comments I would love to hear them email me at ljdnetwork@gmail.com, or visit me online at LJDNRadio 24/7 Indie and commercial music streaming or find out what I am up to next on LJDNetwork.com. What's up #Diamond,
The other thing I failed to mention about 2014 on BTR is my shows were two hours long so pretty much any podcast that you see in 2014 or dated 2015 most likely it is a 2-hour show. I felt that being that I was paying for the hours I was going to use the hours, but it did not last long because after two years it became too much especially after having a few no shows and having to come up with content at the last minute. Although I think I did OK I could have done better had I known the person “family member” had “died” and they would not be able to make it to the interview. But this is just some of the things you go through as an unknown people do not respect the work or the time that you put into your work. The Creative Type podcast is a 2-hour podcast about people who are compelled to be entrepreneurs, I talked about that subject because I am that type. Although I've had some great jobs in my life good jobs that paid well, I was never quite satisfied because as you know if you have a true entrepreneur’s heart it's a feeling that you have inside, but you want to break free into your own thing so that's what I talk about on this podcast. I realize how this sounds, but I truly do not remember the year I created Talent In 10 I think it was in 2017. I can, however, tell you why I created the Talent In 10 series. The idea was to have independent artists come in and display their talent in 10 minutes basically that was it. It did not exactly workout the way I planned it, the interviews were longer than 10 minutes and there was really no talent to display in 10 minutes. LOL, it was a good concept, but I couldn't exactly grasp hold up it. However, I did have fun with it, I hope you enjoy my recordings #Diamonds if you have any questions or comments I would love to hear them email me at ljdnetwork@gmail.com, or visit me online at LJDNRadio 24/7 Indie and commercial music streaming or find out what I am up to next on LJDNetwork.com. What's up #Diamonds,
This episode was fun like most of my episodes., I interviewed Mrs. Judy Johnson at that time she had her own barbecue sauce that she sold in the commissary in Virginia Beach Little Creek Base. That is where I met her, I am not sure how often she used to go there and make her barbecue sauce there on site and serve free samples to the people, so I decided to visit her there one day. This interview is also connected to the live video interview, you can check that out that video on Video by Lina’s YouTube channel (VideoBL). My interview with Mr. Jerry's Hair Salon however did not go as well as I wanted it to or as well as I would have hoped it would. I wasn't very pleased with our conversation overall maybe you'll see why maybe you won't either way, I hope you enjoy my recordings #Diamonds if you have any questions or comments I would love to hear them email me at ljdnetwork@gmail.com, or visit me online at LJDNRadio 24/7 Indie and commercial music streaming or find out what I am up to next on LJDNetwork.com.
