As a filmmaker wanting to make art through the beauty of this world, I was told by someone I look up to "Learn about the world, before you make films about it." This made me want experience travelling more than just an all inclusive or that same holiday every year. I wanted to put my self in places where I have never thought that I would end up in, to then share the stories of those experience right here on Worn Out Shoes.
In this episode I dive into a lot of what happened during our road trip of the USA! There is so many untold stories that I still need to share but these are the ones that I remember at least.

My mum joins me in this episode to talk about her travels around 30 years ago compared to travelling now. She shared some really interesting stories that I haven't even heard. My mum is the reason I have this urge to travel the world, so I thought to get her on an episode would be a real insider to what makes me put on my travel shoes.
Hope you guys enjoy this episode, this one means a lot to me! Sorry for not uploading an episode last week, but there is so much more to come!
Thanks guys :)
People have their own personal reasons to why they want to go to new countries and make unique memories. In this episode I talk about the reasons that drive me to create those experiences and the pro and cons that have an affected my journey.
I really appreciate everyone who takes even a second to listen to Worn Out Shoes! I'll speak to you next week.
In this episode I talk about my recommendations for future volunteers of turtle rescue. I worked for ASTOP in Parismina but they all have similar work, from what I've heard. I try to give an understanding what to expect as well as what you might need to know before. I though to do this because of the lack of information I had before.
Here are some websites you can look at if you are looking to become a volunteer!

Thanks for listening!
On this episode of Worn Out Shoes, I spoke more about my own personal memories from my most recent trip and the things that I thought made me grow in happiness and confidence. This episode continues from the last one, so if you haven't listened to that one yet, this one wont make much sense, so try and go back a get yourself up to speed with the story if you can. Thanks for listening.

On the first episode of Worn Out Shoes, I talk about how I started my trip to Parismina, Costa Rica. After staying in that village for 3 months, I built up some stories that I wanted to share to as many people as possible and get stuck in that buzz around travelling together. If you have stories that you think something you want to share about your trips, please message me on instagram and I will read them out. @harvey.s.smethurst
