With the melting of the Arctic ice cap, polar bears are finding it increasingly challenging to raise cubs and are unlikely to survive the ongoing warming of the planet. This is the view of professor Dr. Suchana "Apple" Chavanich, Thailand’s foremost marine biologist and the only Thai woman to have visited and worked on the Arctic and Antarctic ice caps.
Dr. Apple was the first guest recently in the Future-List dinner talk series. Before the talk, she spoke on a number of critical issues, including global warming and marine degradation, with Koktail Conversations co-host Nigel Oakins.
