Inspiring couples to travel Brilliantly through Life and adventure. We do this through chatting about faith, relationship and inspiring travel tips, destination overviews and interviews with couples and travel providers.
In this long time coming episode, I talk about my journey with cancer and how even having a good form of cancer did not stop me from falling apart and losing the plot.
We are all created uniquely, and our backstories are very different and, more often than not, affect how we respond to situations we face.
After watching someone I loved walked through similar cancer with a much different prognosis, I was surprised how their story affected my own, even though my prognosis was very different.
In this episode, I share the things I struggled with and those things that helped me pick up the pieces and start to move forward again.
I am so thankful to God for the medical team in my court, and for the part each of them has played and will continue to play to going forward.
We are all unique, and I hope my story will encourage others who, like me, are on a journey where the world expects one reaction and your reaction is very different. Our reactions may not be as the world views as expected, but God sees us, and by asking the right questions, we will find those people and practices that will help get us to the other side.
One of the best things about this journey is the extra lessons I have learned about myself and humans in general.

In this episode, I welcome Phil back as we chat about our international style, how it has changed through the years, the lessons and what we have learned.
We started travelling internationally in 2009 and since then we have done 15 trips overseas and with each trip we are finding our perfect travel style.

In Episode 3 Phil joined me to talk about our Domestic travel style.
Everyone has their own travel style and sometimes we know what is important to us and sometimes we don't. Over the last few years as I have watched other people travel and ask questions to travel clients I have become more aware of how important understanding your travel style and how it influence the sucess of a trip.
In this series I want to talk to other couples and find out what makes a trip unique for them.

In the episode, I want to talk about perspective and some of the lessons I have been learning of late.
A couple of weeks ago as Phil and I were waiting in a baggage line I learnt a valuable lesson about perspective and how looking at any situation (well most situations) can help us get to the other side.
As we journeyed through the line we had a couple of encounters with a man behind us and the stark difference of all our attitudes to this moment helped me to learn this simple even could be said basic situation.
In the second half of the conversation, I talk about a second lesson I have been working through. How understanding our apology Language and how this bit of information can help us move through hurtful situations.
Just like all things in life as married couples we need to work together to bring about positive change and learn to speak each other Apology Language can make just as much difference as speaking each other Love Language.
Here is the blog post where I go deeper into The 5 Language of Apology.

In the last episode, I introduced the concept of knowing your travel style and that I would have guests on to talk about their unique travel style. In this episode, I kick this series off by talking to my Husband Phil about the things we find important in how we do road trips in Australia.
Some things we have been doing since before we got married and as we talk about our domestic travel in Australia we talk about how things have changed as the kids have grown up and we share a few bucket list destinations, we hope to visit in the future and how we would like to do it.
Travel is a very individual thing and even though what we all do as we travel may be similar, we all have different priorities. It is my hope that as we talk about travel styles with others, we will think more about why we travel the way we do and who knows we may just be inspired to change things up a bit.
This is the first of two conversations we will have he will be back in a few months to talk about some of the important things in our international travel style.

In this episode, we look at building an itinerary that suits you and your spouse. As I have helped others develop itineraries and through the lessons Phil and I learn, I have realised the importance of a travel style and acknowledging it.
Today we look at a couple of travel syles, itinerary essentials and the importance you and your spouse put on them. We can not have a conversation about travel without talking about Covid considerations or budgeting, and at the end, I share with you a tip that, if used well, can save you both time and money; yep, we look at city cards. We discuss the pros and cons.
