Matter / affair / set of circumstances

Man in his nature wants to be heard and feed listened to. This is why people love to speak and share life details with others.

The trouble with this is to establish whether you’re speaking with the right person/people.

Numbers 27:1-11 NKJV

Then came the daughters of Zelophehad the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, from the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and these were the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah. [2] And they stood before Moses, before Eleazar the priest, and before the leaders and all the congregation, by the doorway of the tabernacle of meeting, saying: [3] "Our father died in the wilderness; but he was not in the company of those who gathered together against the LORD, in company with Korah, but he died in his own sin; and he had no sons. [8] And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'If a man dies and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter. [9] If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers. [10] If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father's brothers. [11] And if his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to the relative closest to him in his family, and he shall possess it.'" And it shall be to the children of Israel a statute of judgment, just as the LORD commanded Moses.

Learn to speak out in time (the key is timing).

Understand that your father owns the universe.

Be reminded of the work of Jesus Christ.

Know that the Holy Spirit is on your side.

Make use of the ministering spirits; the angels.

Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; [7] and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

You have a voice for a reason; use it!

Time / favor / opportunity/ expectation / moment / comfort zone / preference

Ecclesiastes 3:1 NKJV

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:

Prayer: Understanding of times / seasons and acting in accordance with God’s word.

Most believes concede to failure, disappointments, heartache, embarrassment, sadness, depression, suffering, loss, etc because of luck of understanding who they are.

Boldness or courage is not a sign of not having fear; it is rather an act of defying the logic of giving up.

Mark 11:12-14,20-24 NKJV

Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry. [13] And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. [14] In response Jesus said to it, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." And His disciples heard it. [20] Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. [21] And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away." [23] For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Open window - Sunday 26 May 2024

An opening or an aperture

A window is a beautiful thing and its potential is fully realized when it is opened.

More light, fresh air, clear vision, sounds from the outside of nature and even people.

Daniel 6:10 NKJV

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.

To be heard your windows (Spiritual and physical) need to be opened.

Most of us are spending so much time praying with closed windows. We then wonder why we cannot hear the answers from God.

Malachi 3:10 NKJV

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this," Says the LORD of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.

Focus by the church has been on the text about tithe. But do we understand that there are windows that need to be opened? Also, what happens after they are opened?

Reports - Sunday 02 June 2024

John 9:6-7 NKJV

When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay. [7] And He said to him, "Go, wash in the pool of Siloam" (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.

Prayer : listen and apply the word of God

Life is and has always been busy (work, learning, assisting, etc).

Therefore make a deliberate decision to find time for your loved ones.

Stop focusing on impressing (boss, teacher/lecture, friend, parents, siblings, relatives, etc).

Do what is expected of you and that is the beginning (roles & responsibilities).

Reports (details) are part of life.

It is what one does with details that determines the outcome.

Some fear the unknown while others embrace it and trusts God for a positive outcome.

You should be reminded that everyone has a choice to make regarding what to do with a report.

Numbers 13:17-20,28,30-33 NKJV

Then Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said to them, "Go up this way into the South, and go up to the mountains, [18] and see what the land is like: whether the people who dwell in it are strong or weak, few or many; [19] whether the land they dwell in is good or bad; whether the cities they inhabit are like camps or strongholds; [20] whether the land is rich or poor; and whether there are forests there or not. Be of good courage. And bring some of the fruit of the land." Now the time was the season of the first ripe grapes. [33] There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight."

From the story above, you will realize the following;

Hebrews 12:2 NKJV

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Eyes provide the possibility to see and thereafter to perceive (recognize or become aware of).

Your life is looked at (including your whole being) by many eyes for different reasons.

With the looks decisions are taken, conclusions are made, perceptions are established, etc.

What happens when God takes a look at you?

Leviticus 26:3-4 NKJV

'If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, [4] then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

The written law of God (His word) is full of authority, power, ability, and is capable.

Hosea 4:6 NKJV

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.

Hebrews 4:12 NKJV

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

'For I will look on you favorably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you.

Luke 15:7 NKJV

I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.

Prevail in

most of the time in life we're looking for big victories and in the process we lose sight of what God is actually doing.

While you’re complaining about not having a job (employment) yet you have a roof over your head and you do not sleep hungry.

Claiming to be struggling in life when in actual fact you have the basics that others are praying and wishing for.

Blaming your partner and yet you are married or in a relationship.

Envying those who are running in life when your level at this point in time is to walk.

2 Kings 7:3-8 NKJV

Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, "Why are we sitting here until we die? [4] If we say, 'We will enter the city,' the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die." [5] And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there. [6] For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses-the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, "Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!" Set your eyes to see what God is doing now.

Enjoy and celebrate every victory no matter how small it may seem.

Will you do it?

Christians want to be spoken to by God. This can be through the written or spoken word of God, prophecy, or through prayer either audibly or through the Holy Spirit.

After God has spoken, what do you do?

2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Prayer : Father help me to walk, speak, imagine, and become completely new in Jesus name, Amen!

Most of us as believers have gotten so comfortable with our actions that we cannot imagine a life without them.

Lying / cheating / arguing / stealing / being two faced / etc

John 8:11 NKJV

She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

As believers most of us want to spoken to by God. Now when God gives an instruction, will you do it?

Stop turning up / quit that habit / be honest / put aside the gossiping/ lose that friend and group / resign or leave that business

Matthew 19:21-22 NKJV

Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." [22] But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

After that experience, challenge, situation, near miss, phase, will you now change?

2 Kings 20:1-3 NKJV

In those days Hezekiah was sick and near death. And Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz, went to him and said to him, "Thus says the LORD: 'Set your house in order, for you shall die, and not live.'" [2] Then he turned his face toward the wall, and prayed to the LORD, saying, [3] "Remember now, O LORD, I pray, how I have walked before You in truth and with a loyal heart, and have done what was good in Your sight." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.

Desire - Sunday 28th of April 2024

Philippians 4:11-13 NKJV

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: [12] I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. [13] I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Prayer: I will be satisfied with what the Lord gives me and not be greedy in Jesus name.

I understand that most of us have things we’re looking for in life. It is good to have aspirations however they need to be kept in check and remain balanced always.

states of mind that are expressed by terms like wanting, wishing, longing, or craving.

The words; wish, want, fancy, aspiration, yearning, eagerness, and determination come to mind.

Exodus 20:17 NKJV

"You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's."

If we are true to ourselves and really genuine, we will admit that some of our prayers as believers have been as a result of someone else’s achievement.

Our so called faith at times is actually ‘’I want because of”

Find room to appreciate God because someone else has received. No agenda prayer.

Ecclesiastes 1:8 NKJV

All things are full of labor; Man cannot express it. The eye is not satisfied with seeing, Nor the ear filled with hearing.

Can you look and it ends there?

Can you hear and it remains at that?

Ecclesiastes 6:9 NKJV

Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of desire. This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.

Wants will and keeps getting most of us in trouble. We keep coming back to God with the same prayer of forgiveness because of it.

Proverbs 30:15-16 NKJV

The leech has two daughters- Give and Give! There are three things that are never satisfied, Four never say, "Enough!": [16] The grave, The barren womb, The earth that is not satisfied with water- And the fire never says, "Enough!"

Psalm 71:17-18 GNT

You have taught me ever since I was young, and I still tell of your wonderful acts. [18] Now that I am old and my hair is gray, do not abandon me, O God! Be with me while I proclaim your power and might to all generations to come.

Prayer: Lord I will not stop to declare of your goodness in my life in Jesus name, Aman.

Privilege / rights /

Romans 8:16-17 AMP

The Spirit Himself testifies and confirms together with our spirit [assuring us] that we [believers] are children of God. [17] And if [we are His] children, [then we are His] heirs also: heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ [sharing His spiritual blessing and inheritance], if indeed we share in His suffering so that we may also share in His glory.

Christians can be too apologetic when it comes to enjoying inheritance received as a result of accepting Jesus Christ.

It is not a crime to want the best for your life.

Genesis 17:6-8 NKJV

I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you. [7] And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you in their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and your descendants after you. [8] Also I give to you and your descendants after you the land in which you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, as an everlasting possession; and I will be their God."

Do not feel guilty to offer a prayer desiring a blessing for yourself from God.

It is an error to feel guilty about being more than a Conqueror.

Why should you be apologetic about sharing your testimony with others?

1 Corinthians 11:1 NKJV

Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

Prayer: Hello God ; Father of Jesus Christ and also my Father through grace and salvation by the blood. I want to be one with your word in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

Opening remarks:

It seems like time is on ‘fast forward’ with the evidence seen in how the days, weeks, months, and years are passing by. This unfortunately means we’re constantly chasing success and/or fulfillment (employment, business, family, friendships, society, hobby’s, exercise and health living, and all other goals in life).

It’s important as a born again child of God (Christian) to pause or stop and ask yourself “what I’m I doing with or about the word of God in my life”?.

However long you have been born again, the word has been and I’m sure continues to be taught/spoken and read.

1 Timothy 4:12-16 AMP

Let no one look down on [you because of] your youth, but be an example and set a pattern for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in [moral] purity. [13] Until I come, devote yourself to public reading [of Scripture], to preaching and to teaching [the sound doctrine of God’s word]. [14] Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, [that special endowment] which was intentionally bestowed on you [by the Holy Spirit] through prophetic utterance when the elders laid their hands on you [at your ordination]. [15] Practice and work hard on these things; be absorbed in them [completely occupied in your ministry], so that your progress will be evident to all. [16] Pay close attention to yourself [concentrate on your personal development] and to your teaching; persevere in these things [hold to them], for as you do this you will ensure salvation both for yourself and for those who hear you.

We should commit to God’s word.

Our speech, character, personality, behavior should reflect God’s word.

Ephesians 4:32 AMP

Be kind and helpful to one another, tender-hearted [compassionate, understanding], forgiving one another [readily and freely], just as God in Christ also forgave you.

Self condemnation, judgment, accusation, negative talk, terrible self fulfilling prophesies, evil thoughts, not loving one self, loneliness, anger, jealous, envy, sickness, etc.

John 3:16-17 NKJV

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. [17] For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 19:30 NKJV

So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

John 20:1-2,9,28-31 NLT

[1] Early on Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. [28] For she said, "If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well."

Prayer : Daddy here I am in your presence; humble and totally giving myself to you. I choose to trust and rely on you even if everything else has failed. It will not matter who’s looking because I know you are my God. Thank you for hearing my prayer, in Jesus name I pray, Amen!

Make - that is to create (meaning there has to be some form or level of control involved)

History is not created based on coincidence but instead is a result of hard work, effort, commitment, and showing up daily.

Can’t be stopped - Sunday 10 March 2024

Luke 1:36-37 NKJV

Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. [37] For with God nothing will be impossible."

Prayer : Hello God my creator and Father. I come before this moment with trust, confidence, and expectation in you. I pray that you help me to always count and wait on you in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

‘’Possibility is in the eye of the beholder’’

That is to say only you can see the full picture of what your imagination has presented you.

Do not make the mistake of trying to convince others to see what you have in your mind. The danger is that they may either believe you (Positive)or discourage you.

Genesis 37:9-11 NIV

Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. "Listen," he said, "I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me." Hold on to God

It is easy to claim to trust and rely in God when there is calm in your life.

Most of us can sing, dance, and celebrate when situations and times are favorable.

What happens when all of a sudden or gradually we start to lose?

How is our attitude then?

Can we still sing, dance, and celebrate?

How is that acclaimed trust in God when we cannot see the way out?

So Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed; and he divided the people that were with him, and the flocks and herds and camels, into two companies. [24] Then Jacob was left alone; and a Man wrestled with him until the breaking of day. Prayer: Dear God, my fight is not against those around me but instead it is against powers, forces, spirits, and the works of satan as listed in Ephesians 6:12. I will stand on the truth of your word which is to love my Neigbour in Jesus mighty name, Amen!

When you have suffered for too long - Sunday 11 February 2024

John 5:5-7 NKJV

Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. [6] When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, "Do you want to be made well?" [7] The sick man answered Him, "Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me."

Prayer : Father here I am in your presence this moment humble and with understanding that you are my God. I now know that you act in accordance with your time. Mephibosheth (Jonathan’s son) referred to himself as a “dead dog”. Born lame and being so for all his life. Even his name meant shame (born from a concubine).

In 2023 we spoke about “not forgotten” which was a message centered around David searching for Saul’s descendants for the sake of his dear friend, Jonathan.

2024 were looking at a similar message with the focus on God and man.

Mission can mean : Duty / assignment / operation / business

John 8:11 NKJVShe said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."

Prayer : Lord I need help not to repeat any sin I have committed. Wash me, clean me, and purify me in Jesus name. Make my heart pure and whole in your name I pray, Amen!

Knowledge is important and the scripture tells us in Hosea 4:6 that “My people perish for luck of knowledge”.

We need to be spiritually serious such that every opportunity to learn God’s word is grabbed with both hands.
Make it a priority to study, learn, and grow in your understanding of the things of God.

Genesis 4:7 NKJVIf you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it."

Let’s use scripture to list a few elements of sin:

I'm glad that God has trusted me to share with you His first message for the year 2024 which is on a tittle "The voice".

Let us first start by reading the following scripture and then offering a prayer;

Prayer: Lord sharpen my ability to hear, listen, and understand your word and all mysteries about life. I will not miss any opportunity that is meant for me and I will succeed in Jesus name. Amen!

There are plenty of voices that we hear in our lives while fully conscious and subconscious (during deep sleep or even while day dreaming). We recognize some of the voices due to familiarity and others we have no clue as they are of strangers or entirely new to us.

Right after teaching the message “The final layer”, it was dropped upon my spirit that “God is the voice and I am an instrument used behind a microphone which results in you listening to the message through the speaker.

What does this mean? Well He is the Author, the Director, the Producer, the Orchestrator, the Architect, and the Judge,.
