What Is Your Story?

This is a question asked to us by a keynote speaker I recently heard Jaz Ampaw-Farr.

She spoke about the 4 stories we all let affect our lives.

1) The facts
2) The story that other people tell about you

4) The story not yet written

Hi Friend,

I am excited to talk to you today about a new programme I have started.

Its called 75 Hard, developed by Andy Frisella.

The programme involves a few key elements done consistently for 75 days...

1) follow a diet designed for physical improvement (no cheat meals, no alcohol and no junk food)

2) drink a gallon of water per day

3) read 10 pages of a non-fiction book per day

4) 2 x 45 minute separate workouts per day. One has to be outdoors.

5) take a progress picture every day.

If you slip up, you need to start again at day ZERO. Aaahh!!

I'm excited, nervous, already asking myself why I'm doing this but...Lets Go!

Hi Friend!

Today I talk to you about your self worth and how it could be blocking your manifesting of what you want in life.

So often we think of manifesting and our self worth as two completely separate entities. They are very much as one. When you feel good, you attract more.

The key to manifestation and raising our self worth is gratitude. Its underrated but it has immense power when it comes to getting what you want.

A grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.

In this episode I reference the book, 'Manifest' by Roxie Nafousi and also Dr Jo Dispenza, check him out on his website:

Hi Friend,

This weeks podcast is built around this quote:

“Why do you stay in prison when the door is so wide open? Move outside the tangle of fear-thinking. The entrance door to the sanctuary is inside you.”

Hi Friend!

I hope you are well! This episode I talk to you about making the most of the moments. You know those moments when you feel good? You feel inspired and you could take on the world. Make the most of them. The reality is that we are not that person every day. We are not likely to feel like it all the time, but where can you make the most of the moments?

I also spoke about having courage to ask for what you want and being brave enough to take action in that moment. So often we wait until we feel confident enough when the reality is, we will never feel that way unless we step into bravery first.

I hope this helps you in some way and if it did, do share it on your socials so that it can help someone else.

Hi Friend!

Today we talk about the art of surrender.

The art of setting a goal, having crystal clear vision on where you are going, acting as if it is already here and skipping towards it with a smile and a laugh enjoying the journey and embracing the challenge.

It all starts with saying yes to life and knowing that the rest will come. You don't have to see the whole path. With a decided heart, incredible things will happen FOR you.

Sometimes we just grip too tight, and that can lead to us becoming frustrated and we push the goal further away.

In this episode, I refer to the old classic ' You Are A Badass' by Jen Sincero alot in this episode. If you. haven't read it yet - I highly recommend it.

Abundance over lack.
Faith over fear.
You've got this.

If you loved this episode, I'd love you to share it on your social media. You can find me on instagram @megmcleanuk and @shecanpod

Sometimes we allow things into our head and before we know it, a molehill has grown in to Mount Everest and you've been derailed.

I've titled this episode ' Who Do You Want to BE?' because we are that person now, today.

So often we live our lives thinking about the future and we plan for a time that life lands in our lap but its happening. It's happening NOW.

So who do you want to BE? What is your purpose and what is it that you are allowing to take you out go the game and what is preventing you from moving forward with your goals?

So often it's the opinions of others. You're stronger than that. People will have an opinion but when you realise that what they say about you says more about them and their own self doubts than it does about you - that's when the game changes.

So who do you want to BE? Now.

I hope you love this episode, if you did I'd love you to share it on social media. You'll find me on instagram @megmcleanuk and @shecanpod

Hi Friend!

So today, I have a conversation with my bestie in life and business. She got me started in business, she has taught me all along the way and she's a fountain of knowledge and wisdom.

Emma is an award winning business woman and has a turnover or hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. She's a mum of three boys and has built her business to a level that allowed her husband to stop working so that they could spend more time travelling.

She is disciplined, hard working and huge hearted. I can't wait for you to hear our chat about supportive and unsupportive friends, building your dreams regardless of the judgement of others and the wonderful balance of mum guilt.

Habits and your mood are so closely linked. The thing about a low mood and a good mood are that they both trigger behaviours that cause more of the things that will either lift, or lower your mood.

The best thing you can do is to be aware of your habits and notice when they start to spiral with upwards or downwards.

I recommend the book The Slight Edge, by Jeff Olson in this episode. Enjoy!

This episode I talk about the belief hurdles we put in place without even realising that can prevent us from creating change and the 6 questions that can help us overcome them from the book “Triggers” by Marshall Goldsmith

The 15 Belief Triggers
1) “If I understand, I will do”
2) “I have willpower and won’t give in to temptation”
3) “Today is a special day”
4) “At least I’m better than _”
5) “I shouldn’t need help and structure”
6) “I won’t get tired and my enthusiasm will not fade”
7) “I have all the time in the world”
8) “I won’t get distracted and nothing unexpected will occur”
9) “An epiphany will suddenly change my life”
10) “My change will be permanent and I will never have to worry again”
11) “My elimination of old problems will not bring on new problems”
12) “My efforts will be fairly rewarded”
13) “Nobody is paying attention to me”
14) “If I change I am inauthentic“
15) “I have the wisdom to assess my own behaviour”

👆🏻 These 15 belief triggers can stop us in our tracks before we event start our journey to change.

When we are on our way to change, we can use active questioning to help us assess and progress. By starting your question with “Did I do my best to…” you will focus on the positive and take responsibility for your situation more than you previously would. Try journaling on these six questions at the end of the evening and see how you perform.

6 Questions for Starting Change

1) Did I do my best to set clear goals today?
2) Did I do my best to make progress towards my goals today?
3) Did I do my best to find meaning today?
4) Did I do my best to be happy today?
5) Did I do my best to build positive relationships today?
6) Did I do my best to be fully engaged today?

Vision. We all have one whether we realise it or not. You either carve it yourself and fill it full of images of the person you want to become and the life you want to live; or you leave it to be made up of the stories you tell yourself, opinions from authorities in your life or from the past. It will either push you forward to your goals or it will drag you backwards, away from your goals.

Learn to fuel yourself with the 5 forces of self motivation - enthusiasm, courage, persistence, physical energy and creativity.

Listen in and get in touch to tell me what you thought!

As restrictions ease in a year of lockdown, we may need some help to move out of survival mode and back to Thrive mode where we belong. This episode talks about how to get to that place and how to set goals to help you get there.

Why is goal setting so important anyway? And does it actually work? Listen in to find out.

It’s a term that you may have seen banded about recently. I was keen to dig into it a little more and learn what is meant by ‘toxic positivity’ and if there is such a thing, what can we learn from it and how can we use it to better the lives of ourselves and others?

Thank you for listening! If you found value in this episode, I’d love if you would leave a 5 star review on Apple Podcasts and write a little review if you’re feeling extra, extra nice! :)

She can, but I’m not [fill in the blank] enough.
She can, but I could never do that. I challenge you to drop the “but” and know that if she can, you can too. If it has been done before, it can be done again.

Learn to commit to making those small 1mm shifts each day towards the goal and see where you end up over time because commitment will be there for you when motivation leaves you.

If you enjoy what you hear, I’d so appreciate you heading over to Apple Podcasts and leaving a 5 Star review. This will help the show hugely and help me get the best content in your ears!
