Chicago Children's Theatre is proud to present A Royal Murder - a dramatic, comedic , medieval podcast by CCT's Show Time Ensemble. STE is a middle school collective focused on the creation of new works led by playwrights and directors from Chicago. A Royal Murder was conceptualized, written, and recorded remotely during the summer of 2020.
Ensemble members part of this production are Arianna Oyuela, Arwen Ghaffar, Drea McCoy, Evelyn Gabel, James Miranda, Lulu Goodwin, Rhiannon Singer, Samuel García, Yulie Rose, and Yuria Roebke with direction by Dexter Ellis, Emily Lynch, and Kay Kron.
Life has been hard at Castle Grey since Prince Leo took power. Princess Ina is locked away in an undisclosed location while Queen Reigna, Princess Isabell, and Beth the maid have been thrown in the dungeons. What is the fate of our beloved Kingdom?
Everyone in Castle Grey gathers together in the wake of another tragedy. Mysteries begin to unravel, but are some mysteries better left unsolved?
Little Princess Ina finds her own suspect, Beth the maid is having doubts, and Queen Reigna seems to have made amends with her husband’s untimely death as she keeps the Advisor close to her side.
This case is anything but cold as things heat up in the kitchen while Cook and Jester have a seemingly private conversation. For better or worse, Castle Grey is quickly changing following the death of the king.
The Little Princess Ina unintentionally unleashes a snowball of chaos and secrecy when her conversation with Knight Natalie is overheard. What will the older Princess Isabella and the maid do with this new information? Do they really have any choice?
