StoryRoots: a Jeffco podcast to strengthen connections through listening. We share stories from your school and across our district, elevating the individual and collective voice of our Jeffco community through our students and families. We believe that, just like roots, stories have the power to shape us, nourish us, and connect us to others. We hope that these Jeffco stories inspire you to go listen to the stories of others. Listen well.

In this episode, we get to listen to a sweet interview between a second grade student, DeAndre, and his school's Facilities Manager, Ms. Patricia. DeAndre chose to interview Ms. Patricia because he admires the way that she shows respect to their school community. Their conversation ranges from questions about how people show respect - to stories of students that Ms. Patricia remembers from her 20+ years working for Jeffco Public Schools.
This interview is between a fifth grade student, Maddie, and her teacher Ms. Amanda. They talk about influential people in their lives, things they are proud of, and the importance of family.
In this pilot episode we hear from the co-creators of Jeffco StoryRoots, Erika, Tory, Maggie, and Cathy, to learn about how this storytelling and podcasting project came into being. Listen well.
