Nigeria Central Bank placed a ban on deposit-taking banks and other financial institutions to close accounts dealing in cryptocurrencies. The apex bank considers cryptocurrency to be a threat to the country. In my opinion, the ban has more good than bad for the tech ecosystem. I describe some of the good that can come out of the ban.
