In this episode I discuss the history of marketing and advertising dating all the way back to over 6000 years ago. Consumer behaviour is such an important topic for all of us to understand as we all purchase things day in and day out. Consumer behaviour was one of my favourite topics in university and I was wondering when we really started to advertise. Turns out in almost every major civilisation there were forms of marketing.
In this episode I collaborate with the amazing Esme Louise James, a PhD students currently finishing her dissertation and expert in the field of sexuality throughout history. We talk about how historically religion has impacted sexuality and that in some era's we were much more liberal than we are now. We talk about the current trends on tiktok that we are both a part of and some of the interesting nuance that you have as a creator on tiktok.
