We wrapped up this week on a mild note, with temperatures well into the 50s and 60s. As we go into the weekend however a cold front looks to change that. Friday evening into Saturday morning areas of showers will move with the front, but quickly clear out by Saturday afternoon.

After a cool and breezy Halloween with scattered showers, we dry out as we go into the weekend. The first day of November brings an overcast afternoon throughout the region.
As we head into the weekend we get a break from the chilly temperatures over this past week. The winds start to pick up on Saturday, with breezy south winds by the mid to late afternoon.
As we head to Saturday, we are keeping an eye on a shower or two that may slide across parts of South Dakota, and by the afternoon will slide into southwest Minnesota. Rain in these showers will be rather light however, and this will be the only chance for rain across the weekend for most of the region.
We will start the weekend with dry conditions, however Saturday evening will bring in some showers, that will stick around for some through the end of the weekend.
We are wrapping up September on a very warm and sunny note just like this past week. A cold front looks to past through the region Friday evening. This looks to bring a slight chance of showers along the Canadian border. After this slight chance of rain, we stay dry throughout the weekend.
The rain continues to fall over the upper Midwest as we go into the weekend. On and off showers do start to back off in the Dakotas as the system moves east however. The main area of rain brings a soggy scene over Minnesota and Wisconsin for Saturday.
This weekend looks to bring back more active chances of rain and some very warm weather for the middle of September. Shower and storm chances move through the Dakotas Friday evening out west. By Saturday the main chances of rain remain in the Dakotas.
After what's been a much cooler and windy past few days, relief is in sight this weekend. Winds will still be breezy from the north west for most of the region for Friday, but that backs off into the evening. By Saturday, winds are might lighter for a more pleasant afternoon outside.
We are heading into Labor Day and for many of us, the weather looks to be very pleasant this weekend. South Dakota however, will be looking at a rain system setting up shop the next few days.
Friday will be the main day we see chances for rain this weekend, but cooler temperatures will be moving in for a breezy weekend around the Northland.

After a stormy end to the week, we have a nice and quiet weekend to look forward to. Strong to severe storms look to move through the Red River Valley Friday evening, then move east and weaken overnight.
As we head into the first weekend of August, areas of rain and diminishing smoke will be the main features. For Saturday the south wind will help continue to clean out the smoke from the Canadian Wildfire, along with some chances of afternoon T-Showers in the Dakotas.

As we go into the first weekend of May, we see a return fo the warm spring temperatures by Sunday. The last of the late week rain showers move out Friday night and early Saturday morning. Any remianing showers in eastern Minnesota and sprinkles in the Red River Valley will clear out by the afternoon.
This weekend will bring a nice rain for the entire region. The rain starts off Friday and continues into the weekend. Saturday will have rain showers and even a rumble of thunder possible throughout the day. Winds will also get breezy at times thanks to the low pressure system moving through the region.
This weekend brings back the sunshine for a majority of the region, and temperatures will warm up in response. Friday evening will still be cloudy with areas in northern Minnesota and the Red River Valley seeing occasional snow flurries. These clear on out as we head into a sunny Saturday afternoon. Sunday will also see a big jump in temperatures with 50s and 60s making a return.

The first weekend of April continues the wind some of us have been seeing this past week. Saturday brings breezy conditions with a strong east and south east wind throughout the afternoon for most of the region. Temperatures will be mild, but this will not last for long, as our next system brings rain and some mixed precipitation into the area.
To the relief of many of us, this weekend will bring much better travel weather compared to last weekends winter storm. We will stil see some light snow pass through on Friday, but these will be light and shouldn't impact travel save for an occasional slick spot. The weekend looks to bring calm and cloudy conditions for most of the region.
While Friday and Saturday are seasonal with light winds for most of the region, Sunday will be much different. On Sunday, the wind and snow pick up, making travel difficult. Heavy snow is expected in the Dakotas and parts of Minnesota.
This St. Patrick's Day weekend will bring much more wind and colder temperatures into our region. A low pressure system to our north will bring in a west wind for Friday. This gives us one more mild day with highs in the 40s and 50s before winds change direction and come in from the north west bringing into colder air.
This weekend brings with it plenty of sunshine for the region and temperatures on the upward swing. For Saturday the only clouds will be in areas of central Minnesota and winds stay very light. Sunday continues our nice weather and the region remains mostly sunny. The winds still stay light, but a slight 10-20 mph breeze kicks up in central and western parts of the Dakotas.
As we kick off the month of March, Saturday looks to stay with some overcast skies in North Dakota and northern parts of Minnesota. Going into Sunday we will be tracking a wave of rain and snow passing through North Dakota and western Minnesota. Southern Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin could see the 70s.
Temperatures will rebound after a chilly Friday and of course get well above average once again by Saturday. Conditions as a whole will be partly cloudy to mostly sunny for the afternoon. Sunday we will see a slight dip in temperatures, but still above average.
After a few spots of the region saw fresh snowfall in the middle of the week, warmer weather is on the way to start melting the fresh snow. Friday, the northwest wind will start to turn westerly which will start to warm temperatures in the region. The wind will also settle on Sunday, making it the pick day of the weekend.
We go into a snow and rain free weekend after this end of week storm for the region. The last of the snow moves out Friday evening, although some occasional areas of blowing snow could linger. Temperatures also take a hit from last week with many of us dropping back down into the 20s and 30s Saturday afternoon. Sunday looks to diminish the breeze we've been seeing the past couple of days.
As we head into the first weekend of February, we are kicking it off on a very mild note. A beautiful afternoon on Friday will be replaced with overcast conditions for most of us this weekend.
This weekend will bring more very mild January temperatures to our region as we close out the month. Friday will see more highs in the 30s and the fog back off in parts of the region. Heading into the weekend, we stay rain and snow free as the mild weather continues.
The bitter cold is still around on Friday. Wind chills are still a factor on Saturday morning with teens and 20s below zero to kick off the day. Out punching holes to find some fish on the frozen water will be quite cold again for us. Hitting the slopes this weekend will also have the biting cold feel on Saturday. But Sunday is our main transition day from the cold to the mild.
Snow will continue into Friday night and stay light. This may lead to snow on the roadways for those heading out and about on Saturday morning. Listen to see how the rest of the weekend shapes up.
We'll finish out this work week on a fairly mild note. Temperatures will hit the mid and upper 30s with even some reaching 40 degrees. I'm seeing plenty of sunshine to close out this week as well.
This holiday season is looking to bring a weekend system into the midwest for Christmas Eve/Day. While the very fine details are still a day or so away, the general picture is a rain and snow mix for areas of the Dakotas and Minnesota which could result in some slick roads for travel.
The weekend is looking to be yet another mild one as we get to the halfway mark of December. Friday will bring the most active weather of the weekend with areas of rain and snow showers through parks of North Dakota and Minnesota. This isn't a storm by any means, but roads could get slick in some spots when these showers pass through.
We say goodbye to the 50s and 60s from earlier this week as we head into the weekend. Not only do temperatures drop but snow and wind also make a return. Snow sweeps through North Dakota Friday afternoon and evening. By Sunday the snow moves out and the breeze diminishes, but temperatures don't change much at all.
The first weekend of December looks to be a quite one with temperatures above average for just about the entire region. By Saturday afternoon, most of us will see mostly cloudy skies and light winds. Temperatures will also be slightly above average, Once we head into Sunday, we do have a slight chance of flurries/snow showers for parts of the Dakotas and into Minnesota.
As the holiday weekend moves into Saturday and Sunday, conditions remain chilly and a far cry from the 50s and 60s last weekend. Saturday will bring off and on clouds and sun, along with a slight breeze from the west. Overnight Saturday into Sunday, areas of light snow showers will sweep through areas of North Dakota and Minnesota. While it won't be a snowstorm by any means, the wind factoring in could lead to some spots to slow down while traveling Sunday morning and afternoon.
Temperatures will be warming back up after the cold front late this past week brought temperatures tumbling down. For Saturday many of us will see the 50s return with plenty of sunshine over the region.
As we go into the weekend and the Deer opener for North Dakota, temperatures look to warm up nicely. It will still be brisk for Friday with highs in the 30s and 40s but the region stays dry. Heading into Saturday the winds stay light until a slight south east breeze picks up for the eastern parts of the Dakotas and western Minnesota.
Temperatures will stay cold over the snow covered areas of North Dakota while others warm nicely for early November, especially across South Dakota and southern Minnesota. There is a small chance of a few sprinkles or flurries for northeastern North Dakota on Saturday afternoon and evening, but I'm not expected much.
The snow storm that passed through the Dakotas this week moves out to Canada by Friday afternoon. Following this will be some chilly weather heading into the weekend. Saturday will see another wave of snow move through the region. By mid afternoon areas of South Dakota and souther Minnesota will see the first flakes of the season.
Temperatures will warm nicely into the 60s and 70s over the Dakotas and parts of Minnesota to finish out this work week. The strongest winds will be across the western Dakotas on Friday. Most of the Northern Plains and Upper Midwest will stay dry on Saturday and Sunday will be the pick day of the weekend.
We are watching the system progress through areas of South Dakota and Minnesota Friday evening. It will bring a nice soaking rain to the region, along with widespread breezy conditions throughout the entire Northland. While the rain moves out of the Dakotas, there will still be good rain chances in Minnesota and especially Wisconsin for Saturday afternoon.
The cold air will lead to very chilly mornings (which we haven't had many lately) over this weekend. I'm seeing 30s and lower 40s for most on Saturday morning with 50s again for highs Saturday afternoon. Sunday will be a nice day to hit up the pumpkin patch, do some leaf peeping, hit the water for some fall fishing, or maybe spend some time out hunting.
After the rain chances on Friday, we are looking at beautiful and above average temperatures to finish September and start October this weekend. Saturday brings sunshine to the Dakotas while parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin still hold on to the cloud cover. Temperatures will be really nice to be outside with 70s and even some 80s farther to the south.
Rain and thundershowers will be likely for parts of South Dakota and North Dakota to finish out this weekend. Saturday's weather will be fairly wet for a large portion of the region. Temperatures will stay cooler with rain cooled air. Sunday's forecast is still shaping up to be cloudy, breezy, and wet.
Showers will linger for parts of southeastern Minnesota and Wisconsin Friday. Behind the showers that impacted parts of the Northand Plains and Upper Midwest Thursday and Thursday night will have a touch cooler day with a little breeze out of the northwest. There will be touch of fall coming.
Friday will end up being the 'coolest' day for the holiday weekend. Friday's high temperatures will warm into the upper 80s and lower 90s for nearly all of the entire region. Dew points will start to rise on Saturday for the southern half of Minnesota and most of South Dakota. This will make for a hot and sticky day! Triple-digit heat can be expected parts of South Dakota.

This weekend will bring back some summer heat to multiple states. Friday evening brings a strong south breeze but settles down as we head into Saturday. The start of the weekend sees temperatures increase into the 80s and 90s, with some areas in South Dakota into the triple digits.
We'll finish out this work week with scattered to isolated thundershowers spreading over eastern North Dakota and into parts of Minnesota. Most of the area will stay dry, but as you head out of town to the lake or any other destination you may have a few interruptions along the way.
This weekend will bring back cloud cover after some sunny days to end this week. Friday will see the start of rain showers move into areas of South Dakota and this will go into the weekend. By Saturday temperatures will take a big drop compared to this last week especially in areas in North Dakota and northwest Minnesota. The strongest winds on Memorial Day will be the eastern Dakotas and across much of Minnesota. Winds will still be out of the south for most with some gusts reaching to near 30 mph.

Most of us won't have a whole lot of wind to contend with on Sunday. I'm only seeing a slight breeze for western Minnesota and parts of southeastern North Dakota and the very eastern edge of South Dakota.

Friday will bring a quick moving system into southern Minnesota and Wisconsin but nothing near as intense as the storm we just had. Besides that temperatures will be very cold Friday with some areas staying below zero the entire day. Heading into Saturday we look at a lot more sunshine in the region. By Sunday temperatures warm up even more with a lot of places having highs in the 20s.

The breeze will linger Saturday morning and with the cold air sliding in from the north will start us off on a brisk note Saturday morning. Deer opener is this weekend for East River South Dakota as well as Wisconsin. Saturday morning will be quite cold to be sitting or even pushing deer.

It is that time of year where many will be wanting to get out and do some late season ice fishing for panfish. With this weather on the way I'm expected a lot more water out on top of the ice from melting snow. Also, watch for ice receding from shorelines in the next couple of weeks.

Saturday starts off in the teens for most of the region. Out west it will be warmer in the 20s and 30s to start the day. Saturday morning will see cloudy skies in the Dakotas. These clouds will move east and by the afternoon, Minnesota will experience overcast skies.
For Sunday our next chance of snow moves into North Dakota and northern Minnesota. Colder air will come in as well, being in the single digits by the afternoon in areas of North Dakota.
