Weight loss was always a struggle. Somehow, it felt like everything I ate was conspiring against me. Then, I stumbled upon a secret - protein. I learned about its importance in our diets and the crucial role it plays in promoting weight loss. Suddenly, my morning ritual of sugar-loaded cereals changed to a protein-rich breakfast. Eggs became my new best friend, and I found pleasure in exploring different ways to consume them. I started spacing out my protein intake, avoiding the risk of getting too much of a good thing. Gradually, I noticed changes, not just in my physique, but also in my energy levels and overall wellness. The transformation was remarkable, like a fog had lifted. It was as if I was finally speaking the same language as my body.,I remember the moment when I discovered the power of protein. It was during one of those late-night research sessions, trying to figure out how to improve my health and wellness. The revelation was almost too simple to believe: Eat more protein. As I started incorporating more lean protein into my diet - fish, eggs, chicken - I noticed a remarkable shift. I was more energized, my appetite was under control, and most importantly, I was seeing real progress in my weight loss journey. It was empowering to finally understand my body's needs in a tangible way. The journey is far from over, but with my newfound knowledge, I feel more equipped to face the challenges head-on.
Learn unique ways to incorporate protein into a variety of lifestyle choices.

If you're feeling frustrated because you've tried to maintain a healthy lifestyle on vacation but still end up gaining weight, then you are not alone! It can be challenging to stick to a routine while on vacation, and indulging in local cuisine and drinks can quickly add up. Skipping meals or overexercising to compensate for indulgences may also not be effective. Instead, focus on making small, sustainable changes, such as choosing healthier options at restaurants and staying active through fun activities like hiking or swimming. Prioritizing self-care and allowing yourself to enjoy treats in moderation can also help prevent feelings of guilt and promote a balanced approach to vacationing.

"You can't do this." "Who do you think you are?" Our inner critic or inner mean girl (or mean guy) can be more vicious to us than any other person on the planet. And what's worse it is often the loudest voice of all which makes us buy into the lies that the inner mean person is telling us. Listen to my guest Lizzy Cangro as she discusses how her inner mean girl caused her to develop a life threatening eating disorder and how she did the work to overcome it.

So, let’s be honest. How many times have you said, “I’m fine,” when you really weren’t? A few? Quite often? Too many times to count? Well, you’re not alone.
We have all been taught to instinctively say we're okay even though often times we are not. Whether we feel like it's just being polite or we don't want to appear vulnerable to others we often are hurting ourselves more than we are helping. In this episode, my guess Chy White and I explore the many ways that your mental health is effected by pretending we're okay when we are not.

Change is inevitable. As it is with the seasons, life is constantly changing whether we like it or not. We can choose to see the beauty in the changes and grow from it or refuse to accept the change and remain stagnant.
I have learned that the more I fought changes and refused to see the lesson that could help me grow, the less likely I was to live my dream life. For many, many years I was very unhappy and frustrated because I was fighting changes whether they were good or what I considered not so good.
In this episode, I discuss:
-The reasons why change can be good
-10 reasons that change helps us

Vanja Beric is a registered counselor in Australia and she works with others to build on their self belief. It's not about confidence because we often have misguided ideas of what confidence is. Self belief is about believing in your decisions, believing in yourself that you can handle the hardship life throws at you, that you are expert in your field and you don't need to second guess your decision, to believe in your voice and trust yourself.
Vanja has an amazing story of growing up in a war-torn country to how she overcame her own self limiting beliefs to become a counselor and help others. Your life will be enriched by her story and will help you to look at your own self limiting beliefs.

I'm too old for yoga. I'm not flexible. Yoga belongs to one religion. I don't have time to do those long classes. Yoga isn't a real workout, it's just a bunch of stretching. Have you ever found yourself saying or thinking any of these things about yoga? As a Yogi who has been practicing for over 7 years, I want to help debunk some of these preconceived notions you may have about Yoga and teach you all the benefits Yoga can have for your health. Let's listen.
