In this episode, Shaylin and I talk about our morning routines that may or may not make sense, why “healing your gut” and “healing your hormones” and other sales pitches on social media get under our skin, and why sacrificing for something you don’t even want is not good for your mental health. —Let’s connect!IG: @stillwellfitness Web: https://stillwellfit.com Contact me: info@stillwellfit.comWant to look good while doing good? What are the chances that you’ll meet someone who had the same exact type of cancer as you? Actually, make that the same TWO types of cancer as you?
Probably slim.
But that’s the case for me and Amy Moore Plaizier. Amy and I both fought chromophobe renal cell carcinoma, and we both have BRAF+ papillary thyroid carcinoma. The kicker? We were both diagnosed within the last three years.
Wild. Just wild.
In this episode, I chat with Amy about her journey as a two-time cancer survivor, and how having one kidney and no thyroid has impacted her fitness, her energy, and her mental health. We talk about shouldering uncertainty, unpacking trauma, and dealing with the “wet noodle syndrome.”
What’s the “wet noodle syndrome”? Listen to find out.

In this episode, I chat with my friend and client, Melissa Helmick (IG: @thephotographicstoryteller_), about her stepping into her fitness journey, and how ADHD (or any neurodivergence, for that matter) can make achieving your goals that much harder. Of course, as two people with ADHD, our conversation went all over the place, but we hope you can follow along and pull out all of those important insights we shared during the course of our hour chat.
