The More + Sugar Podcast presents BIG CONVERSATIONS. For my 50th birthday I wanted to have some bold conversations. In my book Sugar in My Grits Grief to Gratitude through Grace I talk about the murder of my cousin by Domestic Violence. I have always had lingering feelings around what I could have done differently. I sit down with a long time friend, Shanda Brown to talk about her experiences with Domestic Violence and how she survived.

If you are anyone you know are a victim of Domestic Violence. Please call the national hotline at 1-800-799-7233

I wrote about it my book Sugar in My Grits Grief to Gratitude through Grace. His loss affects the way I parent my son. I didn't learn accountability until later on in life. Right before Jax was born, we did a spiritual fast at our church and were assigned accountability partners. Someone we could check in with and make sure we were doing what we were supposed to do to reach our goal and if we weren't they would get us back on track. In this episode I discuss me slacking on my goals. This is me holding myself accountable. Who or what (if anything) do you use for your accountability? Or are you just out here living life all willy nilly?
