The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren! THEY NEVER LET US DOWN! We were so thrilled with this story. It was deep. It was adorable. It was funny. It was sweet. UGH it was perfect! Yes it's a trope we've all seen before, and we've seen it done well, but this was a fresh take on the fake dating trope and something all it's own. We loved these characters, and 10/10 would recommend. Would've read 27 more chapters of this story had it existed.

A Fate Inked in Blood by Danielle Jensen was so worth the hype that it got when it was released!! We only wish we had read it sooner! Except now we have to wait until the spring of 2025 to continue our journey with Freya and Bjorn....we can't wait to continue The Saga of the Unfated!

Looking back on it, out of context saying I want to be part of a murder probably wasn't a wise statement, but when we're discussing a murder of crows I stand by it. We read Weyward by Emilia Hart and only grew our desire to make sky puppy friends. This one was truly stunning. Hauntingly beautiful. The way the stories of these women were laid out and intertwined was just flawless. We loved it. This one will stick with us for a long time to come! Let's talk witches, and revenge, and murders.

This one was absolutely nothing like we expected! Mostly because we had no idea what we expected..but it was a solid read. Love or hate Ruby McTavish, we had so much to unfold and discuss afterward and we deem that a success. The Sunshine Girls by Molly Fader is our second five star read for March so far!
This was a phenomenal story of friendship, love, sisterhood, loss. It was absolutely beautiful in every way and the only way we could've followed up The Women. In our eyes, they're basically a set.

The Good Part by Sophie Cousens!!! Again, another romance we just adored! Every page of this book is the good part, and we were just blown away again by Sophie! She is a highly underrated author in our opinions. We have loved everything by her that we've gotten our hands on so far. Rachel, we love you. This story was another heartwarming, adorable journey of self discovery and romance. We were head over heels for all of the characters, not to mention the SETTINGS. As a follow up to Magic of Lemon Drop Pie we were not disappointed. Get yourself this cute story, and then make a delicious omelette and pretend you're in cottage by the sea drinking magical tea, because you deserve it.

Trevor Noah! For today's episode we read Born a Crime. When we say this story is spectacular- that's really vastly underselling it. Trevor's story, and his writing, are inspirational, emotional, vulnerable, uplifting, eye opening: SO MANY AMAZING THINGS! If you have never picked this up, we highly recommend it. Never Lie by Freida McFadden! This one was a roller coaster! We couldn't stop talking about the twists at the end (multiple), the mental state of every character mentioned throughout, and ours after finishing it.

Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin was an absolutely beautiful story about two soulmates and best friends who journey through life together. Sometimes on their own, sometimes far apart, but always together. We were entirely overcome by the complex simplicity of this story, and how it made us feel about life in general. Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult and Jennifer Finney Boylan!
We may have a new found appreciation for bees and honey. Could we handle beekeeping? No. 100% we could not, but that's irrelevant.

Two hours is long, yes, but it is not even enough for us to accurately describe how much we loved this book (and there was so much more that got cut LOL). I'm so glad he decided to write this story down. I'm so glad we got to listen to him tell it himself. It was beautifully done, and we are just in awe of H, and M for that matter. All our love to them.

A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone was a truly adorable story about a badass woman named Bee, and a former boyband "bad boy" who fall in love on the set of a "Hope Channel" cough cough Hallmark movie in Christmas Notch, Vermont. It was cute and light with some truly funny moments and heartwarming, supportive best friends most importantly. Perfect to kick off your holiday weekend! Merry Christmas to all! Especially Bee and Sunny! <3

The Magic of Lemon Drop Pie by Rachel Linden
This novel was adorable. We fell in love with Lolly, Rory, and most importantly our spirit guide Aunt Gert (who will be played by the queen herself, Ms. Meryl Streep if we have anything to say about it)! Journey through time and space with us as we take a look at what our lives could be like if we just made a different choice or two via some delicious lemon candies. All to realize we're where we were meant to be all along.
The Good Lie by A R Torre Trigger warning this story is about a serial killer and deals with very heavy topics including sexual abuse
The Bloody Heart Killer has kidnapped and murdered 6 teenage boys so far, but when the seventh escapes all the key players get involved to solve the mystery- too bad they're all hiding their own secrets from each other. This one kept us on our toes and as you'll hear, we loved the shock of not being able to figure it out! Sweet Lily Blossom Bloom. Considerate Atlas Corrigan. It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover was a life changing story for us (not to be too overdramatic). It's just one of those that connects deeply, inspires honestly, and just really takes you through the entire gamut of human emotion. Join us to rave over THE most perfect of fictional men. Just don't judge us for our tears, or mispronunciation of celebrity names!

This story is not a light one, but it is a very vulnerable, real journey towards independence, forgiveness, and personal growth. Jennette lets us into her life, her struggles, and ultimately her redemption. And all at 30 years old! We personally have so much respect and love for her after reading this and thank her for opening her life up to the world, because no one has to do that. It taught us a lot, and gave us a lot to think about. We hope you feel the same.

The Chain by Adrian McKinty
This one was dark. Prepare yourself to be taken on a WILD ride! Thankfully it all pays off in the end. After Rachel's daughter is kidnapped and she is being blackmailed to commit some truly heinous acts to get her back, they end up banding together with some unexpected allies to BREAK THE CHAIN. Sorry Stevie Nicks, it had to be done this time.
The Midnight Library by Matt Haig- a book I will be forever grateful for.

The Butcher and The Wren by Alaina Urquhart!
We have been seriously looking forward to this one for a long time, and we hope we do it justice! The Butcher and The Wren was such an incredible thriller, and there were some amazing twists and turns we just couldn't believe! Join us as we rave over this one. :)
We're back with another thriller/murder mystery and we even fixed the smoke detector! YAY US! Also introducing for the first time: our amazing theme song created by my good friend, and all around incredible individual and artist: Taylor Cupp!
"All Good People Here" by Ashley Flowers was a solid 4.1/5 star debut novel for us. We really enjoyed the journey on this one, even if we are conflicted about the ending.........join us as we get into it!

Continuing on in our spooky season lineup, we discuss Sarah Gailey's Just Like Home. From the front cover dripping in blood, to the visceral reactions we were having to the writing style, we loved this book. We fell hard for Vera, and became deeply invested in her very different relationships with her parents and the way they play out as she uncovers dark secrets within her home. It was scary, it was sad, it was beautiful. Unanimously rated 4.5/5 stars!
The Change by Kirsten Miller
As our first episode, we take a deep dive into one of our "seven out of five star" reads. All about our three favorite heroines: Jo, Nessa, and Harriett (LOML), as they discover deep secrets in their small beach town and take the perpetrators down together. Go team!
