it's so easy to make everything about your business but if you neglect your home life then your business is going to suffer
We worked hard all week and now its time to play!

its all about balance and this is what ive figured out.
Nothing worse than being sick when you are trying to build your business.
especially the part when you start to feel healthy again and are overwhelmed by the work you missed out on.

the proper way to recover after being sick, to make sure your business doesn't suffer.
Sometimes things don't work out...
sometimes you have to put a stop to a business relationship that is no longer mutually benefiting you
And that's precisely what I had to do last night so I wanted to share with you the steps I took to ensure a smooth transition.

How to handle burnout like a pro
Working hard to make your passion project a successful business comes with its downfalls, such as exhaustion and lack of motivation. Burnout happens to the most organized among us, but being intentional with your time can help you avoid its negative consequences.

What does commercial fishing and DJing have in common? Not a whole lot, but somehow that bridge was crossed by our guest on today’s episode, Marcus Armstead.
After dropping out of highschool, Marcus took to the Bering Sea to become a commercial fisherman then realized his dream of wanting to become a DJ after working as a bouncer at a club in Seattle.
He knew he was destined for more and didn’t want to work for anyone but himself. So he made the jump and quit his job to put all his effort into DJing and producing. Marcus is now one of Seattle’s favorite up and coming hip hop and EDM DJ and producers who has created a community in the music scene by showing up, and creating meaningful connections.
Marcus ditched his day job to pursue his career in music and is not looking back. This is what it looks like when you put your focus, time, and money into the things you love doing.
