Do you consider yourself blessed? In an age where blessing is synonymous with power, position, or possessions; Jesus offers a strikingly different vision. According to Jesus, the blessed are the poor, the pure, the peacemakers, the persecuted. Wait, what? Those don't sound like blessings, that seems… backwards! Those sound like the words of someone heading to a cross to give his life away. But what if living a truly blessed life is found in doing the same? Join us this summer for our new teaching series, Backwards, as we journey through the Beatitudes of Jesus and discover a life that is truly blessed.

I am all alone. I can’t slow down. This is just the way I am. The danger of a lie is it almost always contains just enough truth to be believed. But what damage could be done if you lived as if even one lie was true? What would that do to your mind, heart, body? What havoc could that lie wreck in your life a year from now, 10 years from now, 50 years from now? What sins would you justify? What walls would you put up? What bitterness could grow? The reality is we all carry internalized lies, but there is hope: the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ declares once and for all over my life that truth can triumph over lies

Every one of our homes is telling a story about who we believe God is. God made us to spend our days in rest, work, and worship, taking care of ourselves, our families, our neighborhoods, our homes. What if all these seemingly boring parts matter to God? What if days passed in ways that feel small and insignificant to us serve as our greatest opportunities to encounter God? Whatever “home” looks like for you in this season, God’s heart is for your marriage, your parenting, your singleness, your unmet family longings, and your deepest family pains to find wholeness and health in him. Join us as we explore God’s blueprint for a healthy home.

Ever read the Bible and feel like you don’t fit? Like your story doesn’t connect with the ancient stories found in the pages of Scripture? As we head into 2024, we want to put ourselves back in touch with the real people of the Bible who faced real situations and real struggles. Jonah is the perfect candidate. This less-than-perfect prophet reveals critical lessons (and mistakes) for following God into a new year. His story is complex like ours (except the whale part!) but God reveals his love for Jonah and the world in an unmistakable way.

What if the Holy Spirit has more for your family this December? There are four divine encounters with angels that show us the spirit of Christmas is not just a time for eggnog and gift-wrap, but a Spirit pointing us to the reality of King Jesus.

How do you get found- you first have to acknowledge you're lost. You cant or dont find things that aren't lost- there is no need for it-but when you lose something- you move and search as hard as you can to find it

We strive to see zero lost people here in our families, community, and world-and as we pray and ask God to move, we ask that we would be able to go and share His great unending love.

One thing is certain about life…storms will come. A job is lost. A marriage crumbles. A child runs away. Our beliefs are rattled. What we do in those storms defines our faith. Our aim is to anchor ourselves on Christ this fall. He is our refuge. He is our confidence. He is the anchor for our soul.

We all have a deep soul level need:

  • To be safe enough to be known - to be safe enough to be vulnerable with other people and allow yourself to be seen is the cornerstone of true belonging.
  • To be known and still loved – to be known as the real you and still be fully accepted is to receive the most profound gift of all, to be loved unconditionally.
  • To contribute from love, not for love – to make a contribution to the community from our sense of being loved, not for a sense of being loved.

We will explore each of these 3 needs and how the gospel points us to being united to both Christ and His Church as the only way these deep human needs can truly be met

The Kingdom of God is like…

…A seed growing from the most unlikely places.

……Wheat growing among weeds.

…A house built on a firm foundation.

The Kingdom of God is where…

…Lost sons come home.

…The proud are humbled.

…Enemies become friends.

…the empty are filled with good things.

The Kingdom of God is…here among us.

Yet when Jesus taught his disciples to pray, he wasn’t teaching them to pray more or pray harder or pray a formula, he was teaching them to pray differently… to pray like Him. Jesus prayed with both familiarity and reverence. When Jesus prayed, heaven moved. And His prayer life is available to you.

What happens when the dreams God has given us for our lives seem impossible? All too often, we allow our dreams to die because of trials and betrayals or doubt and fear, but in the Kingdom of God, those things set the narrative for an incredible ending.

The life of Joseph in the Book of Genesis is an inspiration to all of us because it reminds us that even when all hope seems lost, God is a master at redeeming the dream.

One of the hardest and possibly least observed exercises is the discipline of confession.  Nobody likes to admit wrong, air dirty laundry out, and especially be seen as anything less than ideal or perfect.  But it is through this discipline we truly see and experience God's healing light in life.

We often only think about worship in the context of singing songs on Sunday morning at church, but we can worship anywhere... and anything. At its core, worship is the act of ascribing ultimate value to someone or something, so each and every one of us has an object of our worship. The question is what are you worshiping, and what is the price you are paying to pursue it?

Listen in today as Pastor Brian Blum of the Zero Collective teaches on this incredibly important discipline and challenges  us all to "Love God for God".

Submission is not a topic that we like to think about in our skeptical, distrusting, self-sufficient society. We are afraid of being let down, taken advantage of, or quite frequently abandoned. But it is only when we submit our will to the will of the Father that His amazing plans for our life will be fully realized. He doesn't promise us an easy road, but he does promise to never let us down, always work for our good, and to stay with us every step of the way.

Simplicity is something that is often talked about, yet most of us have 300 million things in our house and lives. Of course I'm exaggerating a little, but how do we seek to live a life in His presence that is seeking simplicity and not just a "Get rid of it all" mentality? When we dive into this discipline, we will discover that simplicity isn't so much about "things", but more to do with where our hearts are focusing each and every day.

If we can point out one of many negative things that the last couple of years has done to our world it's that we have come to believe that isolation is a good thing. Even when the world did reopen we were encouraged to stay distant, be careful, and choose isolation when possible.

We all love a good restoration story... house restoration, car restoration, antique restoration...  We love to see what was and what could be, but so often we also resist this exact thing in our own personal lives.

Join us this morning as we conclude our Pursued series and we look at how Jesus truly is the only one who can (and will) restore all things back to Him... back to perfection.

We all long for something greater than what we ourselves can do.  From the very beginning, we have longed to be restored back to God and His perfection here on earth as it is in Heaven.  We try hard to make things perfect here, but ultimately we fall short and fail.

But what if God is restoring us not just back to the perfection of Eden and the garden, but rather a glorious city that we cant even comprehend?!  God is restoring us back to His eternal temple- Him and not just a momentary or temporal one.  Join us as we look at where this eternal temple truly lies in the Kingdom of God.

Today we begin the final movement of Pursued talking about restoration. Although we have been redeemed in Jesus Christ, we still live in the brokenness of our current reality. We find ourselves looking forward to or anticipating things of this world that are temporary, but all they can offer is a better version of that brokenness. We are stuck in the in between of redemption and restoration.

John's vision in Revelation paints the picture of God's restoration of all things, when the new heaven and new earth come down, and the enemy is vanquished for good. Listen in as Pastor David Doerner teaches us how to focus on things eternal, and how the anticipation of God's restoration of all things can change everything.

Love was modeled to perfection for each and every one of us through the person of Jesus.  He not only modeled WHAT love is, but He also modeled HOW to love... and the good news is that it's still available to each and every one of us today!

Our world sets us up to feed off the affirmations of those around us.  When we fit in, when we go with the flow, and when we do what the world desires, we are affirmed in our identity.

The message and attitude of Christ is radically different though. Jesus came into this world to invite us to become part of the family of God.  When we are saved, we are adopted as sons and daughters of God through Jesus.  Jesus' family tree is anything but normal- it is filled with scandals and all the wrong people.  Join us today to see how, through Him, we fit perfectly into this family together.

Oftentimes we acknowledge that prayer is an important and integral part of our faith, but have we had the right view of it lately?  When we talk about prayer, do we see it as the same force that Jesus Himself saw it as, or have we relegated it to be simply transitional, transactional, or even just a placeholder in our lives?

Jesus was very clear about the importance of prayer and the role it plays in life and the church.  Join us as we dive into not just the importance, but also how to embrace Jesus' call to have His house be a house of prayer.

Our world has a view of singleness that seems to miss what God's true heart is for His kids.  Each day, we are bombarded by messages of our value being tied to marriage and relationships. From music to politics to entertainment, we see that without a significant other we are told we are "less than".

But God says otherwise.  Join us today as we dive into Paul's letters and what the true mission is for God's kids, both married and single alike, when it comes to how we are called to live.

View Details

Our world, and especially our culture, has sold the lie that marriage is in some way a construct designed to fix us, fulfill us, or satisfy us in ways that it simply never can. Far too many people enter marriage with this idea, but find themselves struggling and unhappy when they discover that their spouse doesn't "live up to the hype". This is a "cheap" view of the marriage relationship!

God created marriage to be an earthly representation of His relationship with his children. His unconditional sacrificial love is the perfect version of the true mission of marriage. It was never intended for our spouse to become our god, but rather for us to draw closer to the one true God (and our spouse) through the imitation of the sacrificial and unconditional love that He displayed for us.

Listen in as Pastor David Doerner digs further into this amazing subject as we continue our series on relationships, marriage, and singleness.

Have you ever wondered what Paul was really talking about when he talks about submission in marriages? So often in our world and culture, we view this as a way of holding power or authority over one another, but what if there’s more to it? What if when Paul talks about submission, he’s actually reminding the church all about Jesus Christ's sacrifice and his submission to his father.

Join us as we dig into this text and explore God‘s plan for our marriages… together.

Have you ever wondered what the blueprint is for our marriages in life?  Believe it or not- God designed marriage for a purpose and did it on purpose.  But for many, we get lost in the idea that our marriages must reflect the things of the world rather than the things of God.  So what if we redefine our relationships according to the Gospel instead of the world?

Join us today as we dig into this exact thing- how the Gospel helps us to reshape our relationships to reflect God over the things of the world.

Each and every day we choose who or what we serve.  For many of us, we may not even know that we make this choice, but we do.  It may not look like we choose to serve other "gods", but what if our perception or thoughts of what a "god" in life is is off?  Today we unpack just that as we journey through a short but incredibly powerful moment for one person and how they chose who to serve.

This idea isnt new- we see many times even in scripture where there are needs among them but yet, nobody sees the needs or the people, they just look at it.  What could happen if we set out to not just look at needs, but to see them ridded from our communities and lives?

The question of calling in life is one that we ask so often, and we spend so much time trying to figure out what in the world we are doing here.  We try to find it in our relationships, in our jobs, and even in our culture,  but what if our calling has been within us all along?

Take a trip with us today as we discover how God has placed a calling- His heart and desires- deep within each and every one of us.  Your calling matter, and that is why we want to see zero unfulfilled callings in our community and world.

In today's world it's easy to feel like we are taking it on alone, like there isn't anyone who understands, and even like we don't matter too much.  But we were never meant to walk alone or feel that way at all.  What if I told you that we were meant to not just live and coexist with each other, but rather we were designed to do life together; to rub shoulders with each other, get messy and do the hard things in life, together.

Join us today as we dig into this reality and see how community is formed and why it matters.

In our world today everything seems to be asking for our attention.  We fight the urge to always be connected to social media, news outlets, phones or computers... We are all connected to something in our lives, but what if we are connected to all the wrong things?

God desires us to be connected to Him and His heart, but so often we have connected to things outside of Him. What if we dug into what it means to be connected to Him and what happens when we are connected rather than disconnected?

Have you ever imagined what it would look like to say YES to anything your kids asked for each day?  What possible things could come from that, but also what possible harm later on could come?  This essentially is the mindset of the best friend parent; the parent who wants to be liked above anything else.

Join us today as we dig into how this mindset is not what God calls us to have as parents, but also as coaches, leaders, aunts and uncles alike.

This week we are talking about the volcano parent... the one who just explodes in anger or frustration, sometimes even when the situation doesn't warrant it. Have you ever wished that there was a place that you could drop off your kids and get them "fixed up" so that we wouldn't have to do the hard stuff of parenting?  The reality is, our world treats many things in this exact way; school, church, sports and more.

But is this how God intended us, His people, to lead and parent the next generation?  Listen in today as we dive into this next parenting style, the dry cleaner parent, and how we can avoid becoming this and what God desires for us!

Parenting in today's world is incredibly hard.  We all want our kids to be successful and grow to be the best, but at what cost?  Oftentimes, we may jump in to save them and mow down any obstacle or hurdle that is in the way.

Join us as we continue our message series, Raising the Perfect Parent by diving in to a story in the Old Testament of a parent who does their best to mow down obstacles for their child, and we explore how we can avoid this style and be better parents together.

Have you ever had a moment in life where you had to purge through things and get rid of them in order to move forward and grow? Today we look at a psalm that David pens after a critical conversation with his buddy Nathan coming from a confrontation of David’s secret sin that he has been hiding for a while now.

In this moment, David could’ve issued a nondisclosure agreement or fallen at the feet of God in full repentance. Join us today as we dig into not just David’s reaction, but also what God may be asking us to fall down and repent of today and be purged of so that we can grow in his name!

Before you were even born, God knew everything about you... Every joy, every struggle, every triumph and every trial. In Psalm 139 David says "you have searched me, Lord, and you know me". Where the rubber hits the road is when David asks God to search his heart and reveal anything that doesn't line up with Him. This is a dangerous prayer!

Listen in as Pastor David challenges us with the words of Psalm 139 that God knows and God sees even the things we don't want to see in ourselves, and He wants to reveal those things to us to lead us into life everlasting!

What if when Jesus was reciting that Psalm He was drawing the audience, as well as us, closer to the heart of the Father in that very moment?  Join us as we dig into this Psalm and unveil the true reality that God is present in our afflictions.

We have tendencies in life to fixate on things: things we want, things we think we need, people, influencers, or even just random things. We all have fixated on something, but what if we fixated on SOMEONE rather than just something?

In Psalm 27, David speaks about the importance of fixating on The Who in our lives rather than the WHAT in life.  What if we took a deeper look at our own lives and fixed our gaze on what really matters- Christ.”

Have you ever felt like you were drowning in life?  Maybe the things of the world seem to be crumbling all around you and you just can't seem to stay afloat or tread the water hard enough to stay above it all- but here is the truth.  We don't have to save ourselves!

David wrote in Psalm 18 how God "reached down and rescued him from the deep waters".  This is incredibly good news for us, because God wants to do the same for us.  Take a listen and let God speak directly to you about how He wants to rescue you but also do so much more with your life.

Have you ever felt like God has called you to do something so outside your comfort zone that you’re nervous of what others may think? This is exactly how most of us feel when it comes to beginning a new conversation, or relationship, with someone who is drastically different than us.

Join us as we walk this path with a man named Philip, an Ethiopian Eunuch, and the conversation, relationship, and ultimate transformation in life that takes place all because one person decided to reach across gender, racial and even political lines to start a conversation.

Far too often when we encounter people with different backgrounds, views, or experiences than our own we become more concerned with our perspectives than the person we are interacting with. Ultimately we are more focused on winning an argument that building relationships.

Jesus' encounter with the woman at the well arguably gives us the greatest example of how we should be For People. In this exchange, Jesus is dealing with a person who he could not have less in common with; a samaritan woman with a checkered past, yet he engages in a conversation that shows he is  far more interested in winning her soul than winning an argument. Listen in as one of our very own Storytellers, Zach Zwart, explores this beautiful interaction.

The prodigal son wanted the inheritance and asked his father for it before he left.  But the older brother never left... He stayed out of duty to the father, but what if staying got him just as lost as his younger brother?  As we dig into this story more, we see that the older brother has some "baggage" just like his younger counterpart- it just looks a little different.  And if we are honest, we may see ourselves more in the older brother than the younger brother at times in our life and journey.

Join us as we dive into the second act of the parable of the prodigal son. We will hear a deep message that Jesus has for the "older brothers" in life and discover once again the Father's heart not just to the younger son, but to the older son as well... and maybe even for us today.

View Details

The prodigal son wanted the inheritance of his father without the work, time, and relationship that came along with it. In the same way many of us find ourselves in places where we want the blessings, favor, and help of our heavenly father without the relationship and dedication that should come with our walk of faith.

What is truly amazing about the story of the prodigal son is that even though the father had full rights to consider his son dead and had no requirement to accept him back, he did. Not only this, but he clothed him, put sandals on his feet and a ring on his finger, and he threw a feast to celebrate. The father was so excited of the return that he didn't even regard the past actions of his son... he just wanted him home.

Listen in as pastor Kyle compares this parable to our heavenly father's love for us and His overpowering desire to see the lost come back to Him.

If you've been running and find yourself far from the father... just. come. home.

In our final week of Estimate we have the pleasure of Brian Blum joining us from Frontline Church. Listen in as Pastor Brian challenges us not to overestimate our safety while underestimating the power of faith.

Far too often we make giving back to God an emotional thing rather than an act of obedience. We convince ourselves that we will "know" when God is asking us to give, what He wants us to give towards, or that we will begin to give when we have reached a certain threshold in our financial journey. The reality is that God is not first and foremost interested in us giving back to him out of emotion, but rather out of obedience and recognition of where everything we have comes from.

It's counterintuitive to what the world tells us, but only when we fully submit in obedience to God will we truly be able to understand and experience the safety and security of His provision!

Sardis was a church that looked good from the outside. They were a fortified city, in a prominent position in society, and physically safe high up on top of a cliff... But the soul of the church didn't look the same way. Thyatira is the smallest of the 7 churches in Revelation, yet it received the longest letter. Tolerance is cheap and it can cause us to stray from the never changing truth of God's word.

He says they have lost, left, or (some translations) forsaken their first love.

Over the next several weeks we will be diving into the book of Revelation. Now, most people automatically think we are headed for a hell fire and brimstone/ end of the world theme when Revelation is brought up, but that's not quite where we are heading. We will be looking at the 7 letters to the churches in Revelation. In these letters, Jesus is speaking directly to His church, commending them for the things they have done well, but also challenging them in the areas they have fallen short, and we believe that there is an incredible amount of information we can gather from these letters that is applicable to the church today!
